They installed solar panels on my home back in August and they still havent been able to activate them. They miss appointments all together and arrive late on other occasions. I take days off from work then they do not cancel the appointment but they do not show up. They send these guys that does not speak English therefore we have no communication. During the installation they didnt request to use the bathroom so they left bottles of pee in my crawl space. I found them days after they left. Earlier I saw bottles in my garbage and I didnt know that it was pee so I was taking them out of the trash to put them in the recycle bin. The inspector was there again yesterday and he recommended to the Radiant representative that the installers get retrained. He said that it is obvious that they do not know what they are doing and that the work is not up to code. They had plastic zip ties on the roof to hold up the metal conduits. They did not put a nut on the end of the ** cable. They used electrical tape instead. They also did not have the system grounded correctly. Those guys were not adept to do this job. Im really glad that I did my part in getting solar panels but Im absolutely upset that I used Radiant Solar. I thought ***** was bad but these guys is trying to bump them out of last place. I am requesting that they either get the system up and running in 2 weeks or remove them from my roof.Business Response

Hello , my name is *********************** residing at *************************************************. My contact information is ************ and my email is ******************** Recently I signed up with radiant solar to have solar panels installed. I contacted them to install solar panels on my house so I can save money on my electric bill. Upon signing the contract and contacting the bank for the loan , I was told I would only have to pay 40 dollars monthly for my electric bill. The technicians installed solar panels on the wrong side and all the solar saving energy is going to my upstair neighbors. I have contacted this business a multitude of time and each time they have never gotten back to me with a solution nor attempting to come back to my house and fix it for me to be on the correct side. I Paid everything and I'm still not receiving what I paid for. They are very rude and unprofessional. They came to my home and broke the walls for installation purposes but never installed anything or fixed my wall back. Now I have a hole in my wall that makes my home look musty which is very unprofessional and lack of respect on their part. I emAIL all the time and call everyday and the assistant leaves me on hold for ****************************************** the office. How are you running a buisness and everyday no ones in the office and their is no head of management I can talk to about my case. l called the bank about the situation the bank said he provided me a loan for Radiant solar they arent responsible for the mistakes and unfortunately that cant help me because they only deal with the financial part. The company needs to *********** technicians and accept responsibility on their mistakes. I would like my solar panels to be installed correctly , ************ in my wall to be fixed , and my electric bill to be adjusted to the payment that was agreed upon in the contract.Business Response

Hello valued client, thank you for sharing your concerns. Like we have explained to you multiple times, the solar system was connected to your own meter, meter number *********. This is the same meter number listed on your *** ********************* at the time of your consultation, and we processed the interconnection with *** ****** using this same meter number. We provided you with copies of the *** ****** permission to operate document and your original electric bill you submitted to show you that the meter numbers match. We also sent a technician to your home to verify the system was working and connected to the correct meter. It was determined that your electric usage has increased significantly from the previous levels we calculated during your consultation, which is why you continue to receive bills from *** ******. We recommend lowering your usage back to previous levels, or we can install additional panels to accommodate the increased usage.
Regarding the hole in your wall, this hole was required to remain open for the electrical inspection to allow the inspector to review the electrical connection embedded in your sheetrock, which was explained to you while the solar installation was still in progress. We have made numerous attempts since the inspection passed to schedule repairs to close the hole, all of which you refused. Please let us know when you are able to provide access to the property and we will gladly schedule the repairs as soon as possible.

They showed up to my house unannounced and didnt fix anything. Simply looked at the meter and left. Im still not receiving any solar energy on my meter nor is it reflecting my bill. The company has ignored several complaints and phone calls from me and I no longer know what to do. I would like my problem to fixed and my bill payments adjusted from all the months ive paid with incorrect bill amounts. Spoke to them about coming they promised me someone would come December 8 to get the situation Resolved. No one ever came. The receptionist told me and confirmed that someone would come to my gonna come and run test and figure out why the solar panels are not working. Its not on my meter con ****** confirm we are not receiving energy at my home.(****** **** ****** ******* ** *****)

As you stated, we had an appointment to check the meter and confirm that the solar was connected, which were able to do. At this point we have confirmed multiple times that your system is connected to the proper meter with in-person appointments, and we have also confirmed through online monitoring that your system is producing electricity. Additionally, we have provided both you and BBB the permission to operate document showing the solar is connected to the same meter number listed on your own Con *********************. You need to contact Con ****** and have them remove you from your level billing plan, as they are currently charging you the same $96 amount every month. Hello , I am following up because I filed a new compliant and they closed it. Radiant solar has still not came to fix my solar panels and I had attached proof from Con ****** themselves to prove that my home is not receiving any type of solar energy. This buisness is very unprofessional and unwilling to corroborate with me into finding a resolution. They have not fixed the huge hole in my home, and the solar panels so I can receive connectivity. Every time I call for them to send someone out to my home , the person I need to speak too is never in the office. Every single day he is never at work to speak to me. I have spent so much money on my solar panels to see if my electricity bill could be more afforadble to me . Yet radiant solar has not finished the job as they claim , they havent started the solar panels and connected it to my meter so Con****** can get back to me. I **** like to resolve this issue as it has been ongoing for months and I still havent been able to get any help. I am emailing so bbb can add on to my oringal compliant and reach out to the buisness once again making them aware of issues that they are not trying to fix.

My solar panels were installed on my roof since the beginning of April of 2022 and to date they are still not on. I was promised by the Dov, an employee of radiant solar that I will have an ******************************************************************************************************************** June of this year. The inspector from the company who came to ensure that I was a candidate for the panels provided the green light for installation and when in reality I did not have the correct voltage in my house to facilitate the panels. To date I have been reaching out to this company numerous times each week and scheduling appointments for someone to come and no one shows up or the few times that people show up they are clueless as to what they have to do and promise to come back but never do. I have taken numerous day offs from work in vain, each time with the expectation that someone will come. They do not even call to let me know if they are not going to come. Instead I am the one that has to reach out and all that I am getting is promises. So far I have not benefitted from the installation of the panels and I am just frustrated with this company. I have been in contact with *****, **** and ***** from the company. They all refuse to give me the opportunity to speak to a manager. They all tell me managers are in the field todayand no one is available. The **** of buildings has fined me **** dollars for the box that is associated with the panels. I have requested to get a copy of the permit that the company received to even install the box and they have not sent it to me to date despite my request at least one month now. Part of the incentive program that they offer is to provide for payment for the panels for 18 months providing that they are on. It has been 5 months already that payments have started and my panels are still off.I am kindly asking for your assistance at this point because I am not receiving any assistance from the company.Business Response

We noticed in our initial site visit that your electric service needed to be upgraded and we explained we would include this work as a part of your solar installation at no additional cost. However, the service upgrade required an additional process with Con ****** that delayed your solar system from being fully active, which we also informed you of at the beginning of the job. This is why we provided you with a welcome check incentive covering your first 18 monthly solar financing payments; precisely so you would not incur any out of pocket solar expenses while you waited for your system to be activated. As of 11/9, your system is fully active. Unfortunately, because you had some previous electrical issues in your basement, the *** inspector issued you a violation for which we have agreed to take care of at our own expense, as we have informed you on multiple occasions. Solar panels were installed September 2021. As of today 10/16/22 they still do not work. They failed inspection in November. They came out once after in April to do repairs. They havent scheduled an inspection. They do not answer the phone or respond to my emails.Business Response

We fixed the issue you reported with your inverter (tripped breaker) as well as getting the system connected to monitoring (your WiFi connection was initially too weak to reach your inverter so we installed a WiFi extender free of charge). Radiant Solar promised to install the solar panels on a stilt since I have a flat roof. The installers install the panels too low on the roof and no one check behind them to make sure it was installed according to plan. I had to go up to my roof to see that it was not done according to plan. Radiant Solar also promises two checks after installation I spoke to a worker twice about both these problems and was given the same answer twice. The worker told me she will speak to someone and get back to me. It has been more than two weeks and I am still waiting. I told them the easiest way to go about this is to remove the panels from my roof and lets part ways.Business Response

There was never any promise made to install your panels on a tilt; we only mentioned the possibility of installing your panels on a canopy if we couldn't fit them all in the designated area accounting for the fire path. The tilt/canopy was never included in your contract and ended up being unnecessary, as we were able to fit all your panels in the designated area. As far as the checks are concerned, the first check we sent you in ******* was received and cashed by you. The second and third checks (sent on 7/14 and 7/21, respectively) were not received but we informed you they would be resent. The two checks in question were sent last Wednesday 9/8, so you should've received them by now. Please let us know if you still did not receive them.Customer Answer

****************, thank you for sharing your concerns. As we have explained to you, the reason your system is not operational is because your city inspection has not successfully been completed. The city has rescheduled your inspection on two separate occasions (on 4/25 and 7/6) and you were not available for the inspection scheduled on 4/27. Unfortunately, we have no control over when the city schedules the inspections; all we can do is submit a request and we are provided with a date and time according to the building department's schedule. However, we have an inspection date for this upcoming Tuesday 8/16 at 2:30PM, so far we haven't been able to reach you to confirm. Keep in mind, we have provided you with a welcome check rebate to cover your first 18 monthly financing payments, so you have no out of pocket solar expenses for the first year and a half.
