1 starI would give no stars if I could. Cover Genius Insurance Services has XCover travel insurance under it and we sadly used it for our travel. Our son was hospitalized the day we were to leave for our trip and it is stated you are covered for illness up to roughly $4800. I paid for travel insurance for peace of mind. They made me file a claim and I provided hospital and ER docs from doctor(s), plus our itinerary, receipts and received a response "claim denied" with no reason or explanation other then contact the airlines. The airlines won't refund me and I purchased travel insurance so why do I need to. My son is still in hospital and I should not have this extra stress. Their insurance is a complete fraud, plus they have no one to speak to. You can only file claims, no contact number or chat! absolute scam! Buyer/purchaser beware!Review fromLexi G

1 starIf i could give 0 stars i would. I booked a flight wirh priceline and got the travel insurance. When i say this is the WORST travel insurance company it is... I had to start a serious treatment that i found out before my travel, so i had to cancel my trip, so im thinking let me file a refund claim. Had all the information needed, that they asked for, not to hear from them, if i was approved or denied. No money back or anything. When i say i usually dont wish bad on oeople. I purchased this insurance in January because my husband and I wanted to try and have an outing for his birthday, we are first time parents and well anyone who has a newborn knows that anything can happen out of now where. We had a baby sitter for this event we bought tickets for, but last minute our baby sitter had to cancel. We werent upset, but rather understanding, I mean after all we bought insurance. Surely we knew that we wouldnt get all our money back, but I didnt expect for Cover Genius Insurance Services LLC to have their customers require legal documentation on their concerts. This company is underhanded, misleading, and deceptive. Any reason that results in you missing an event that you purchased with the obvious intention of going, should fall in your list of reasons. Making your customers go through more trouble to proof why they couldn't make it to the event is just plain grimy.Cover Genius Insurance Services, LLC

In January 2025 I booked a trip to the ****************** with a live agent over the phone. One day before my travel date, February 14th, 2025 I get a text from the agency I booked transportation services that the resort is an 8 hour drive from the airport and would be an additional $1,000 for the round trip. Obviously, these fees are out of my budget for this trip and unexpected and who wants to sit in the car for 8 hours? That would have been a waste of 2 trip days! I have called Priceline more times than I can count at this point and have wasted hours being on the phone with them and getting no help or resolution. I also booked trip insurance through a 3rd party I guess with my booking, and they denied my claim as well. I do not feel as though I should pay for a trip that I did not go on! It is ridiculous that I have to fight this and that I am still fighting this. This trip is linked to my affirm account and Priceline needs to reimburse the funds to reflect there. This is potentially going to affect my credit if this does not get resolved. I should not have to pay for a trip based on Priceline's error, and a trip I did not go on!! What was the point in purchasing trip protection is my trip is not protected? And you can not get in touch with this company at all.Cover Genius Insurance Services, LLC

Xcover is a s*** company. Make you jump through hoops to provide more documentation about having covid than applying for citizenship. You can respond and say the wording says this etc. Its all a ******** scam. Nobody goes to the doctor for covid anymore you idiots. You can take my $160 and stick it up your scamming *****. I own and operate a small business myself, and I can rest peacefully at night knowing that my Cancel for any reason policy actually means a client can cancel for any reason. Scam, do not use XCover if booking through *********. If you get the flu, but do not go to the doctor for it, you are out of luck. They will require a medical note. I'm not paying a doctor to give me note saying that I am sick. I know that I am sick. I was able to provide them with evidence of having the flu, but they "have you" because they specifically call out needing a medical note. Illness happens and it does not always require a trip to the doctor. Read their requirements, they make it most difficult to file a successful claim, this is on purpose and if you don't agree, then you are wrong. What a joke and I can guarantee you that they deny way more than they approve. Something fishy about that in my opinion.Cover Genius Insurance Services, LLC

Booked a flight through Norse ( another terrible poorly managed biz) in April 2024 for a trip ** to *****. My flight was delayed for more than 24 hours and with NO explanation so it was at no fault of ours. The Hotel in ***** obviously charged me for the 1 day that missed due to Norse negligence. I was annoyed but comforted in my mind as i had purchased insurance. I got back from vacation filed my claim for $1008.15 and received $150 as a reimbursement. Explanation was lodging is not covered in my insurance are you kidding me - my vacation was delayed because Norse changed their departure NOT MY FAULT! THIS IS ROBBERY - I never leave a review ever but its about the principal - I am out $$$ make sure you do not get jipped - do not use Norse or Xcover they both are unreliable companies.Cover Genius Insurance Services, LLC

I booked a flight and purchased insurance. I needed to cancel the flight, due to personal reasons; however, my claim was denied and I was never able to speak with a live person. I am very unhappy with losing the money for my flight. after requesting a refund several days prior to the departure.
