    My dad lives in ********** when i compared ***** from ************ vs whitting ** central hudson is charging ** over 3x per kw As well i understand they cant get reading but they are over estimating readings like my actual readings are around 70Kw and the estimates are over 250kw Thats a huge difference.I seem them like i see soldiers, I was just folllowing orders is no excuse to what they do to people given central hudson is a monopoly and i cant get my electricity elsewhere. I refuse to pay for something i did not use. I will not pay over estimates either its not important to get reading or numbers then im not paying cuz the actual amounts are ALWAYS MUCH lower 90 to60 thats 30 difference roughly.

    If I could give Central Hudson a negative star I would! They billed me one month which most went to towards "delivery" charges next month twice the amount during a mild spring so no heat (use fuel anyway) no fans or a/c. They ask the customer to report meter readings so what do they do exactly for the customer? We conserve ********************** for carbon footprint and costs then get penalized. What the what?!!!! No response from higher up rep. ********** to **** of ****** Services and our Assemblywoman! Outrageous and should be held accountable!!!!! Shame on Central Hudson!

    Online support is ridiculous. ******* ends the chat before even talking to me. Not once; multiple times. Currently I am on attempt 6 to get this lady to have a discussion with me about my Central Hudson concerns. This woman makes the company look bad.

    Our bills have been all over the place. One month it was ******, the next *******, the next ******. Then ****** and now over ******.I was told to upload my meter readings within a very specific time frame after the ******* bill. I did so. It said I'd hear back within 5 business days. I heard nothing (aside from a warning that we were nearly late) and my account due did not change at all. I called and was told they'd look into it. Nothing changed still. This month is over ****** (we're not using the heat or the A/C and haven't for 6 weeks) much less utilizing extra gas or electricity. We kept our heat set at 67 degrees. Our A/C (which we haven't used yet this year) at ***** degrees. No new changes in usage from a couple of years ago when our bills were consistently 350ish. We requested actual readings vs estimates. No one will respond, no one cares and no action has been taken to rectify what is obviously incorrect and all over the place price wise. I spoke with a cenhud meter reader who verified that they are supposed to be using actual readings and suggested I upload readings myself (which I'd already done to no avail).I don't believe it's even possible to have such differences in usage to make these wild price swings even remotely possible. Please fix this, unfortunately we need to keep paying these incorrect and insane bills in order to keep our power and gas on. I truly think ****** knows this and is the crux of why they're overcharging and/or charging whatever they like, seemingly randomly. I realize things have gotten more expensive, but our bills shouldn't be anywhere from 100-400% higher... especially in months when we're not using heat or A/C. We're sweating or freezing for nothing as cenhud overcharges whatever and whenever they like. It's incorrigible.

    I'm a new customer with ********************************************* and have been trying to resolve incorrect billing from the start of service.Like many others have stated in the complaints on the BBB site - I don't know where to get this resolved.It's become clear that Central Hudson has no one ethical to assist with resolutions.If anyone has a contact name and number or email please post it on BBB.

    I called Central Hudson about a billing error 2/21/23. They issued me a ticket number and said that someone would call back. No call back.... called again 3/7/23 referring to my ticket number. They said someone would call back. No call back. I called again on 3/17/23 to talk about my ticket number and they said someone would call me back. No call backs from them but they keep issuing incorrect billing amount.No stars would be a proper rating for this company!

    Terrible company and they need to be investigated. They are robbing families with the excessive pricing and estimated billing practices. Somebody needs to intervene and stop them from robbing their customers. Enough is Enough!!!!

    I am on a budget with central hudson and this is the 1st time we have to pay more than $800 because the budget they reviewed and lowered caused the rates they charge to increase so much that the budget does not work in favor of the customer.Instead they are creating more problems.

    I really believe Central Hudson is over charging everyone!!! My monthly bills are not only outrageous but each month is extremely different amounts which make no sense at all. Seems to me that they are randomly charging what they feel like charging! Whoever is coming up with these outrageous amounts need to go back to school and learn how to add or subtract! I was on budget billing and then in December the bill went extremely higher than ever. Seems to me that I was being charged for a WHOLE YEARS worth of electricity. When I questioned them they told me it was the new increase that took effect in June 2022. We have NEVER received a bill like this. We normally have a small balance or a credit at year end. Everytime I call to get explanation as to why it's so high, they have no clue as to what say! The sad part is that this is happening to so many of us and it seems like nobody or nothing is being done about this. We need to gather everyone in the community and get a class action suit going on! I hope that whoever reads this can help ** get answers and *** this company. We need more companies up here in the hudson valley to compete or put these people out of business!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
