I was automatically rolled over and charged for a service plan that I hadnt agreed to. So, I kept paying for my oil but not the plan. I got a fee so called to discuss. After taking off the late fee (which was nice) I asked about what the purpose of the plan was. I hadnt needed them, just had paid $800 for a plan. She explained I got a yearly maintenance review which I thought would be good but also was upset that I didnt know this in the past. She signed me up for my maintenance appointment. I was given today from 7am-noon. They have no showed so I called and they said theyll be there in about an hour. Really?!? No call, nothing. Ive just been sitting here waiting on a gorgeous day waiting for almost 6 hours!!!! Terrible customer communication on their part.

ZERO STARS This is the worst company ever. There has been nothing but problems with this boiler and your installer since we had this thing improperly installed. In May/June 2020. I wrote you in Jan ********************************************************* installing our boiler and compromising my boilers integrity and your solution was a cleaning and another free cleaning. NO inspection of the full non functional unit at the time. A band new unit should not have malfunctioned that earlier on. When your staff can out no one took off the cavity and checked why a brand new boiler was NOT properly working. You tried to push blame on us, the unknowing customers. Mature. I complained to you how the sut spewing out of our chimney isnt okay for a brand new boiler. Again, I told you this could have caused a fire and possibly killed my children and family. But no full inspection on a non functional brand new unit was performed by your company. You took the cheapest route possible. Clean it, its working see ya! Leaving us with a faulty unit. Negligence. The first person we had come to inspect it Saturday said he would never have set up our chimney system that way. That is not safe. The second gentleman that came out said this is not the proper unit for this type of home and should never have been installed, period. The third company said that the boiler being improperly set initial is ****% the reason the seal broke. It ran hot for so long it damaged the seal and broke the seal. The more the leak continued, it corroded the seal further increasing the damage. It continued until the leak became visible and was noticed this weekend in my da managed flooring. It seems your company has now faulted in multiple areas of neglect and endangerment. Multiple calls and zero response. I keep call and emailing and nothing. Oh wait, I got a we can come check it out for $300 dollars. Your have to be out of your mind if you think I am paying for your ERRORS. ITS NON FUNCTIONAL!

This company is a sham. I paid the protection plan last year for oil delivery and was scammed. I paid an additional 300 dollars to lock in a lower price and it never worked. I cancelled my contract and they charged me an additional $200 bucks for that plus the cost of the inflated oil. Dont do business with them.

We at ********** take all customer complaints very seriously. We have reviewed the details of this complaint and have concluded the following:In October 2022 we offered you capped pricing for 800 gallons of oil for the next heating season. All cap pricing programs have a program fee based on the negotiated amount of gallons secured for the season. We received payment of the program fee in mid-November. The deadline to return your signed contract was November 17, 2022. We didnt receive your signed contract before the deadline resulting in cancellation. Your program fee was credited back to you.In December 2022 we offered you a lower capped price for 800 gallons of oil and rebilled you for the program fee. Your signed contract was received by the new deadline. In January we delivered ***** gallons at the new lower capped rate.On February 6, 2023, you called stating that you didnt receive the lower rate and wanted to close your account because you didnt want to pay the program fee. You further stated that you wanted to switch your account from ********************** Delivery to Will Call because you saw lower pricing online. We explained that the lower pricing was for new customers. In good faith, we offered you a lower rate, which you declined because you didnt want to pay the program fee. We explained that the program fee could not be waived. You chose to terminate your account resulting in a termination fee as stated in your signed contract.

Same as the review below me. Had to cancel order and wait for refund... ******* never delivered. Also, my oil delivery guy was super unprofessional. From the moment they arrived they were miserable they had to dirty their new blue uniform by doing a simple tank check. Read other reviews, we had similar experience as a few people it seems. Said I had a patch done previously and I'd assume would have tried to sell me a tank but I told them to get lost. I'd think twice before ordering from these guys, especially if it's your first order - There's a reason they have such a low price for your first order - they want to come to your home and try to sell you a tank or get you on a contract. Scammers 100% - tons of reviews all over the place. Beware.

This company never reached out to me, apologized, or handled a damn thing. Took my money for no oil delivered, were rude and refunded me only when they got around to it. Would not trust these people to change a light bulb. Enjoy your piss poor reviews.

I had a similar experience to that of some below. In Feb. of 2022 I started a contract of automatic oil delivery for a year and got oil delivered the first time at a special price. I assumed that after a year the contract would have expired and they would not deliver unless I expressly requested. I was wrong. I have been watching oil prices thru the fall and winter and currently oil price is about $3.35 / gallon. The highest price I saw this season was about $5.599 / gallon. This is what they are charging for the delivery just made on 3/27/2023. This is robbery. They claim they did nothing wrong. How can they set whatever price they want for a delivery I did not request.Go elsewhere to buy your home heating oil.

I had a contract which expired end of February. Before I even got a chance to call about renewal, etc., I received an automatic delivery. The price at time of delivery on 3/6/23 was $5.759 per gallon. Thinking this was likely a mistake, I phoned Kaufman on 3/7. Speaking with their representatives, I was told this is the current retail rate. I then called *************************** *****, ******* *** and even ****** (which is part of HOP family) and was quoted anywhere from $3.44 to $3.99 per gallon. The price I am being charged is more than $2 per gallon of what the market is charging. I was offered a new contract but with fees associated that make it impossible to accept to make it a reasonable transaction. I am beyond frustrated and cant believe a company, in good faith, can even leave me a receipt for oil at $5.79 per gallon.

Hi ********, Were sorry to hear about your less-than-satisfactory experience with Kaufman Fuel. Our pricing agreement states if you do not renew your contract or run out of reserved gallons, future deliveries will be billed at the retail rate of the day.Our office has made several attempts to contact you. You have not returned our calls. In good faith, a credit has been applied to the account. As of 3/31, the account balance is still past due.

On Friday, HOP energy delivered oil to our house that was not authorized, approved or wanted by **, the customer. How dare your ********************** charge nearly $2,900 to our account without any approval. I did not want oil, and don't have the money for it and would have never agreed to it. Our account has had an outstanding service plan balance since December, so you figure you would take advantage of your customers, by delivering oil they don't want to make up for lost sales. This company seems to lack any type of business ethics, stay away form HOP/DDM Energy. Be sure to close your account in writing!

Your full-service, automatic delivery account has regretfully been closed as per your email request. We would be happy to discuss your last delivery and work with you on options for price plans. If we may be of further service, please call our office and ask to speak with a Loyalty Account Specialist.

I only give one star because zero stars was not an option.I ordered oil and was charged for the oil prior to delivery which is standard. However, as a "new customer" they require that they inspect your tank before delivering fuel. The delivery person came and decided he "didnt' like" our tank so he refused to fill it. After calling them to get my money back to order oil from elsewhere I was told first that I would have to wait 3 days, after informing them this wasn't acceptable they stated they would void the transaction, however, they issued a refund instead since they already got paid and the money was withdrawn from my account. They essentially left me screwed. Companies SHOULD NOT collect money for a product until after that product is delivered especially if there is a chance they could deny delivery. AVOID THEM.

Hi *********, we are sorry to hear about your less than satisfactory experience with ************** and hope that you will accept our sincerest apologies. It is our policy to inspect a tank prior to delivery for all new customers. Unfortunately, your tank has no legs and appears to have rusting where it sits on the concrete. Delivering oil to a tank with visible rusting proposes potential damage to your home and the environment. We confirm that your refund was processed by us in a timely manner. You may want to refer to the terms and conditions of your banking institutions refund policy. Should you need a quote on a replacement tank, please feel free to reach out to us.
