I have been a customer with ********************** for two years. Had some issues in the beginning where they initially installed a smaller tank then thought to increase the size to decrease the delivery amounts. I couldn't afford the upgrade at the time so I stayed with the smaller tank. (Why they didn't install the bigger tank at the time, I'll leave up to them). Been keeping up with the payments but I did fall behind this last Christmas where I could not afford that month, but I was always paying into the balance regardless, every month. I was not offered any specific payment plan and they kept delivering. (Paraco is already more expensive than most companies). I guess they got fed up and I woke up today to no gas and a block on deliveries due to an unpaid balance. I paid a portion of it last week as I was due for a delivery and the 300 was all I could afford as of this last paycheck. The collections department left me a voicemail thanking me for the payment but stating "it is not enough, so you must pay in full to receive any gas". They call during work hours so I cannot answer the phone as I am a floor Nurse. I spoke with a "Maya" at the call center who would not connect me to anyone above her and just kept repeating that I owed a balance. There are no representatives on the weekends to discuss these issues. She said I could pay an emergency fee on top of what is owed. Obviously, I cannot afford that and now I have to be without heat until Monday to talk about a payment plan. Although, it is obvious Paraco only cares about the balance (even though I have been paying every month towards the balance) the don't seem to mind keeping deliveries going until they feel they're over it and then just cut you off. Just stating this is an expensive company and not very helpful. I'll be switching to a cheaper company when I eventually pay off this bill, when I can. With the state of the world right now, it does not surprise me that companies and their people have become so nonnegotiable.

These people are horrible. You request a specific amount of propane for what you can afford and these idiots come and fill my tanks in THEIR error and have the nerve to harass me with past due notices, threaten to discontinue my service because I have to now PAY DOWN the balance I did NOT request

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the recent technical error on our online portal. We escalated her concerns for investigation & have extended a discounted rate as a gesture of goodwill for the difficulties.

I appreciate the response and your gesture. The final balance was paid and I am now able to place another order which I will be doing next week. It was just frustrating when not one person could help when I called and when you called back no one ever leaves an extension causing me to have to call back again and reiterate the entire issue over again. Would you please advise the price per gallon so I know how much I can afford to order.

Our steel is our most valuable asset for which we are liable to insure and maintain. To offset a small portion of the associated costs we charge a lease. Despite multiple attempts to collect payment over a five month period, our efforts were unsuccessful. In an attempt to resolve the matter, in January ********************************************************************* person and retrieve our equipment. Regrettably, these attempts were unsuccessful, leading us to bill the homeowner for the tank and subsequently close his account. While the customer has since made payment on the lease, our equipment remains at the property. We kindly request the homeowner's cooperation in allowing us to retrieve our asset. To facilitate this process, we urge them to contact our office to coordinate a service appointment for the pickup of our equipment.

Paraco, stated they bought out Great White ******** March/April of 2023. I order propane on demand but they came out in September unannounced and put 96 gallons in my tank gallon and increase the price. My fill up for the winter is usually around October/ November and I use electric and a wood stove to supplement my heating needs. They came again in December with another increase per gallon, and 90 gallons more. No deliveries for ******* or February so I called them before the snowstorm hit letting them know I was at 50 gallon per tank. I expected ************ to fill my tanks like most gas companies do before a snowstorm but did not deliver until after the storm three days later. I am billed for 196 gallons at .30 cents more per gallons this time.. They claim the increase is due to COVID, (5 years ago and the fires in ****** last summer and on how much I use no set price per gallon. When I commented on this ridiculousness I was told I needed to go on some website and read ******* 101 to learn how the propane company works! They claim they are charging the national average per gallon price for my area. Not only did I already looked up the average price before I called to complain my siblings use different companies in my area therefore, I know the competitive prices as well! Parasite also stated, We dont notify the customer when we raise the prices. I told ************ I would use the gas until it is depleted; try to pay this ridiculous $746.00 bill as funds comes available. I decline any more deliveries, and that I will notify them when they can come get the tanks. They threaten me with a restock fee of $200.00 for these over 10-year-old tanks that they are responsible for changing out for safety. I asked why all my paper work is still in Great White ******* their response now is We merged with Great White, we are partners. Then I am still under Great Whites contract not this make up as- they- go- along stuff. They dump gas I don't ask for!

I somehow got linked with Paraco when I purchased my home. I never chose them, I was forced to use them as a provider. They knowingly overcharge their customers per gallon, in way excess of state and national average. They charged me $5.16 a GALLON! ************** average is $3.60. They dont tell you the price ahead of time and they charge you more per gallon each time you fill up. They refuse to adjust the bill to acceptable pricing and will charge you money to have their tanks removed, so that a BETTER, HONEST, REPUTABLE company can provide you with more professional service. They will continue to rip you off, and NO ONE DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Do not use this company. I will also be reporting this to the Attorney General. This needs to be corrected ASAP.

Paraco is committed to offering fair and competitive prices to all our customers. Our pricing structure takes into account various factors such as market conditions and individual customer usage.

It is important to note that the energy sector is inherently volatile, influenced by factors including political unrest and fluctuations in supply and demand. As a result, pricing can vary significantly over time. While government websites may provide average pricing data, these figures often do not reflect the specific circumstances of individual customers. The NYSERDA website specifies that pricing average is for automatic delivery customers with 1100 gallons or more of usage.

We are committed to working with all of our customers to help explore pricing options/promotions that align with usage requirements and budgetary considerations while upholding a fair pricing structure.

I have lived in my house for 18 years and started off using *******, then i find out Paraco took over. I ended up switching gas companies only to find out that I am being charged $190 for my tank to be picked up. I think that is ridiculous and completely unfair. I didnt ask for Paraco to be my gas company. And the fact that I am being charged that ridiculous amount of money is outrageous. I will never ever ever use paraco ever again because of it. Thats something you call highway robbery. Its tough now these days and to be charged that kind of money is completely unfair. Its a shame that a company has to try to charge you to keep you. I will never use paraco ever again.

At Paraco, we prioritize customer satisfaction and aim to address any concerns or complaints promptly and thoroughly.Upon acquiring another business, it is standard practice for us to acquire all associated assets, including propane tanks and ancillary equipment. As outlined in our online Terms and Conditions and in alignment with industry norms, we may assess a restocking or termination fee for the removal of such items from the field. While the majority of the associated costs are absorbed by our company, a portion is passed on to the customer. We understand the importance of transparency and communication with our customers. That's why we ensure that these fees are clearly stated in our terms and are also referenced in the ********** Consumer Guide for Purchasing Propane. As a courtesy, we have waived any remaining amounts due for the removal of the equipment. While we are saddened by the loss of their business, we remain open and ************** them again in the future.

You have to pay this company to leave. They did nothing wrong while providing service. However, I had to change companies due to furnace issues. The new company was an approved HEAP company. (they also had better prices!) WELL! Paraco, charged me $200 to pick up their tank. I had to PAY to leave the company. After 2 months, they sent finally sent a teenage girl to pick up the tank at their convenience. Things are not easy for me at the moment so this charge is a hardship. It will take time to pay it off. I cannot recommend Paraco.

Paraco goes to great lengths to ensure the satisfaction of its customers and any instances in which a customer feels the need to escalate a concern or complaint they may have are taken very seriously and investigated as such. Assessing a restocking fee for removal of propane tanks and/ or any ancillary equipment from the field is a common practice in the industry as it is done at company expense in the form of travel costs, labor and manpower time. As a courtesy to a long time customer, ********************** has waived any remaining amounts due for the removal of the equipment; we are saddened by the loss of a valued customer, however we would gladly welcome the opportunity to be of service again at some point in the future.

Paraco prides itself on providing its customers with the reliable, prompt and safe service they have come to expect. Ensuring transparency and clarity in billing is at the forefront of our commitment to ongoing customer satisfaction and preserving the lasting relationships we work so hard maintain. Rising costs for consumers and businesses are always unfortunate. Paraco does everything in its power to absorb as much as it can and shield our customers from the effects of the rapidly rising costs for goods, services, insurances and fees however we cannot always shoulder the burden alone. Although the annual cost for the complainant to lease Paracos equipment has recently increased, once contacted we were able to help the complainant by working together to reduce that cost as a courtesy.
