1 star- After 20 plus years of customer loyalty, we were charged an annual tank fee without prior notification. We received a past due notice without knowing when and why the fee started. We spoke to a customer service representative and were told the fee would be waived because of the amount of years we have used the company. The fee was not waived and we are still being charged an annual fee without notification from Paraco.Review fromShawn b

Paraco is always saddened to hear of instances in which customers feel they have not received the excellent level of service we pride ourselves on offering. Providing quality service, value and an overall positive experience is a commitment to our customers we take very seriously. Our teams are committed to helping customers through various challenges and we are always willing to together to come up with solutions and offer various options and arrangements to assist when needed. Paraco is the worst gas company. ***** wait 15mins for them them to answer the ************ for them to come out. Prices are at least 40 cents per gallon higher than others in the area, 70c per gallon higher than the state average. I paid $200+ for them to take their tanks back & switch to one of the local companies charging significantly less with better customer service. ********************** bought that company and the price skyrocketed within a few weeks. Now even the price to remove tanks has increased. paraco exploits every community that they are servicingParaco Gas

Absolute garbage company for years I asked for bills to be sent to me instead of my parents ( it was a deal if we had multiple houses) never would even after talking to reps . They lost payments 3 times I had to spend hours proving payments were made . If I owed them 100$ they would run me out of propane in the middle of winter ... (Mind you I had a 300 gallon tank) the delivery guy laughed and said they do it all the time to people and he hates working for them but the bought out his company. I called to talk to a manager 4 times never a call back then when they finally did she was belligerent. They locked my tank today because I will not pay them not because I can't but because they are disrespectful and rude .. I will pay them when they get this tank out of my yard ... People this company ***** and they are awful to deal with !! Pay a little extra and go to a local small town propane company where you can have a conversationParaco Gas

Paraco prides itself on providing a superior customer experience and we are saddened to hear that you do not feel you received the level of service you expected. For the safety and security of our customers information, steps are taken and protocols are in place to ensure billing and account information is only available to authorized account holders. If any additions or changes to this type of information is needed, approvals to do so would need to be requested via the primary account holder(s). Propane runouts are indeed unfortunate. Multiple attempts to contact by phone, email and postal mail are made to discuss a customers account and any challenges or issues that *** affect it before it results in an out of product situation or a tank lock off; this account is no exception. Given the opportunity, Paraco would gladly work with our customers to come to amicable agreements and help in setting up payment plans aimed at helping ease some of the burdens of overdue bills. It is unfortunate that in this case we were unable to come to a solution together. While losing your business as a Paraco customer is regrettable, we will of course remove the Paraco tank on site as per your requestReview fromEdward R

Very difficult company to work with. Cancelled my propane tank service with them in November 2023 and asked that they remove their tanks. It is now May 2023 and still waiting for them to remove my tanks. I call every 2 weeks and am told service department will schedule pickup. Yet no pickup. Terrible customer service.Paraco Gas

I am having a generator installed for my house. I got a quote from Paraco to install a gas line. The estimate I got was to install the gas line on the outside wall of my house, or the expensive way. When the crew came to install the gas line he said he could not install it the way it was estimated. He said I would have to dig a trench for them to install it in the ground. I had waited six weeks for them to come to install and after dropping off the gas tanks and relieving himself behind my shed they drove away. They rescheduled a install appointment for six weeks away. My wife and I dug the trench and are waiting for the install. Today someone came and filled the tanks with gas. I would like a new estimate as to what they are actually installing.Paraco Gas

Paracos focus has always been providing the quality services our customers have come to expect when doing business with us. It is always unfortunate when best-laid plans dont work out, but we always try to pivot and create amicable solutions when needed to work with customers on the best options available to meet their needs. Any confusion in quoting the scope of work needed in this instance seems to be related to other work done on site preceding the scheduled date of our installation. Changes to scopes of work are fairly common and was required in this case as there had been electrical lines ran near the original location planned for the propane line installation. Since the filing of this review, we are happy to report that we have been in communication with the customer and have worked with him to come up with an affordable and amicable alternative for the line placement needed to hook up his generator. Once the necessary trenching is completed, we would be glad to work with him to coordinate an expedited appointment time for the completion of the work. We look forward to his continued patronage and glad for the opportunity to make the situation right.Review fromCarla M

1 starI have 3 furnace LP Max *********** plans. A September 27th furnace cleaning, revealed I needed a part replaced. They canceled (11/7,11/15). Then a technician arrived without the part (11/18), asking if I bought the part. A technician came on (11/28) and as he turned off the pilot light, a k*** began to leak. He used the soap bubble test, it was a loud hiss that we both heard. He kept talking about it and wanting me to lean into the leak, ****, it blew up in his face. If I had leaned in at that moment, I would have been burnt. Technicians came back (12/5), the part they brought was wrong. Said I need a new furnace. I called another company (December 13th) and he found a part in two days. I called the manufacturer and also found the part. I spoke again to the parts person (12/16). He said he could not find the part. I said I found the part through the manufacture, so did another company. He said he would look into it, unsure the cost (*********** contract includes these replacement parts/labor). A manager contacted me (12/20). After a discussion about finding parts, fixing, selling me a new system, she said she would look into it. Wed. (12/21), she said they found the part and will come on Friday (12/23). The senior technician said he did not have the part and asked if I did. He said, "that is the right part." Inside, I said I need to record for quality assurance, he stopped what he was doing, said hire another company. I said I will turn off the camera, and I unplugged it. It is going to be 8 degrees. He left. I received a bill of ****** for the service they did not perform. The bill stated they will no longer service the heater but will sell me a new one. I paid over $600 for these contracts. No one is calling or email me back as of today (1/5/23). I can hire other people to do the job, but they shut off the tank and are not responding to me via phone or emails. I am stuck with out heat, ability to rent, or repair the unit. Ethical? Legal? Help!Review frommichelle m

Worst gas company EVER!!!
Worst customer service and systems i have ever experienced - They surpass ******* ****** which speaks volumes!
Last year we had an issue with them not coming on a regular basis and we ran out of propane x2 - waking up to a cold house and cold showers. We got them to commit to a regular interval to always come and top off the tank - that worked during the summer (when we didnt se the gas for anything but coooking and hot water) but apparently they missed the last 3 times and our tank is dry. They texted us saying that they were coming 3 x over the last 2 months each stating a scheduled time - but apparently then never showed!! We are busy people and assume if you say your coming you will - but missing 3 appts and leaving a tank empty during the Xmas holidays is horrible! We pay our bills in full and this is not a payment issue - this is a inept company who does not know how to run a buisiness!
i have spent (and counting) 3 hours and 50 minutes on HOLD!!!!!! - I have called on my other phone the main nubmer trying to get someoneone to help and noone can get the delivery supervisor or the department on the line for me.
I have wasted my vacation day waiting for them to respond and to deliver propane - SITTING IN A COLD HOUSE.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THE WORST - I AM CHANGING PROPOANE PROVIDERS IMMEDIATELY!!Paraco Gas

Paraco is saddened to hear of the reported poor experiences the complainant has had with us. Paraco and its leadership team always work diligently to keep the interests of our customers first and foremost. As with many providers, seasonal demands present challenges in execution which can impede our ability to quickly pivot and redirect which is certainly regrettable and for that, we are truly sorry. As soon as the complainants concern was escalated, our Experience and Operations groups quickly investigated and a Manager was then dispatched to attend to the customers need. In order to ensure uninterrupted supply of propane, any changes in the home or usages should be quickly reported to us to ensure we are aware and can compensate for any unexpected increases. In this case, a large addition to the existing home was constructed and the average consumption of gas increased significantly. It is recommended that given this higher usage, the customer look to increase their storage capacity on site and have a larger tank set to help ensure adequate supply. Based on the information we have now, our Operations team has adjusted future delivery prediction forecasts, which should allow us to deliver more frequently to help offset their increased usage. Additionally, as a courtesy (and in an effort to go above and beyond to prevent any future occurrences), Paraco can also install a remote monitoring device on the propane tanks so that any changes, be it an increase OR a decrease in usage, can be tracked remotely. These devices transmit daily tank level readings to both Paracos delivery team and are also viewable by the customer. This can be installed for them at no charge. As we are most certainly upset to hear of this situation and as an act of good faith to a valued customer, the total cost for the propane delivered to them on December 27th was at no charge to them. We are again sorry for this regrettable situation but hope that we can move forward and provide the complainant with the quality experience that Paraco customers have come to expect.
