      After 2 months received an email with a rent increase of 42.3%!!
      I've utilized numerous storage facilities throughout the years and understand that rent increases are pretty standard fare. It's not unusual to see a 5-10% increase each year. Never have I ever received an email less than 2 months after signing paperwork and the hassle of getting all my stuff moved in that the already-high advertised price is not being honored. Unbelievable.

      I so regret now going to prime storage cause they’re raising fees and threatening to put Liens on your units if you don’t pay . The one the Bronx is the worse. I’m hoping to just cancel my unit on move on

      When I first rented the unit, I did so based on the understanding that the price was stable and reasonable. The repeated, steep increases without sufficient justification feel more like a tactic to take advantage of customers rather than a reflection of true cost changes. At this point, it feels like a scam, and I am incredibly frustrated. Within the span of a single year, my rate has been raised three times.

      I went to the website and was led to believe that I was signing up for a free month of a storage unit that cost $13. Upon making the reservation, I received a call telling me that I owed $29.99 (which was charged to my card) for an administrative fee plus another $17 for insurance. This was Not stated on the web. Refused the unit, was promised a refund under buyers remorse and did not receive it. I received multiple texts, emails, and a $67 bill! Even after weeks of back and forth, I never received my money. I never occupied the unit nor went to the property. Did not sign any contracts. They sent a move out receipt for an unoccupied unit! No refund yet! Bad business, false advertising!

      I rented a unit from Prime storage located in Marietta, GA Powers Ferry Pl. on or around 10/19/2024. At the time of the rental, I was given the option of 2 storage units which were later told to me were unavailable. I was then contacted by the GM (Patrick) to move me to another unit and promised me a cost of $114 (a special rate that they were offering during that time). After one month of being in that unit, I began to notice a leak in their roof which hovered over my unit. Each time it rained, my items were being damaged. The GM at the time offered to place a covering over the roof to prevent further damage to my items until they fixed the leak. Several months went by with constant complaints regarding the same issue. I filed a claim for the damaged items under my renters insurance in December 2024; however, Prime Storage did not respond to me until 3 weeks to one month later after I visited the facility several times to complain about the lack of communication. After going back and forth with the claim adjuster that they required me to use before I was able to rent, I was finally paid a portion of what my items were worth. On 02/21/2024, I filed a final complaint and received an email from the new GM, Adam who stated that I declined to move out of the unit (which I did not. I requested that they paid for the transfer of the unit since it is the fault of the facility for not mentioning to me that they had maintenance/leakage issues). I was told later by an assistant manager that he was aware of the issue prior to me renting. Adam (GM) became upset about the recent complaint and told me that he wanted to discontinue me renting from me and asked me to be out of the unit by 03/17/2025 instead of rectifying the situation in a professional matter. Now I have the financial burden of moving out of a unit because they refused to fix the link in their unit. Not to mention they abruptly increased my rent to $214 after only 2 months of renting from them.

      The Staff in Griffin Ga are very young, rude and immature! They called animal control and police and called and told me there was a dog in my unit! it was a toy! The Staff is bad for Business always arguing with Customers. Many Customers have voulantarily left and got different storage companies not because of price but due to the rudeness and Drama Queens. Namely Chelsea and Brittany! Prime storage needs to seek professional Employees and leave these kids at *********!!

      West Valley, UT lovation.If you want customer service at the site, they’re only there from 11-4 Monday through Saturday. During those times, they may not be in their office, and do not have portable phones to be available. Then you get the call center which is in New York. No after hours help can be had at your site. Non-climate controlled storage has condensation that drips water all over your belongings, and they are aware of that. Even if covered in plastic, the floor will be wet. 12 page agreement to sign, and only a lawyer could see all the loopholes. They recommend not storing anything of value. The insurance they offer only covers their own negligence. I don’t know anyone who wants to store only stuff they don’t care about getting ruined. No mirrors in driving areas of the units, so you can’t see around corners. Surveillance is not watched 24/7 by anyone. I was mistakenly charged two times for my first month, and it took two months to resolve that. I had to do extensive research to even find the corporate office phone number. Several calls, messages, and emails from myself, and the staff did nothing. I can tell that staff is sympathetic, but the owners are not. I cannot afford to move all my stuff to another facility now that I am stuck with them. Thank goodness I have home owner’s insurance, because i may need that when I finally find a place to live. Most of my furniture are antiques, my clothing and any fabric items may rot, and all I can do is hope the plastic helps. I think they should pay for me to get my stuff to a storage facility if my choosing at this point. They are negligent and dishonest in my opinion.

      This is the worst place I have ever been to give my business. I have been here since before the new management. The elevators is and was always broken. They were shut down for Christmas eve Christmas and the manager came 3 hours late on the 26th.. I guess he had a long night. You complain about things and they take it lightly. They are not professional. They think being hospitable will excuse the issues and one thing doesn't have to do with the other. Finding reason in the wrong... I won't be giving prime my business and watch out if they try to damage my stuff as to the top of 5he unit is tie wire and exposed. I do construction and so does alot of other folks who lost money on the 24th 25th and 26th of December 2024... I wouldn't recommend the place
      There was also a stench of cigarett and I called it in and he wanted to debate over the phone while I was actually in my unit. He walked the floor and try to kid with me as if it weren't me who were smoking and I quit 2months ago . Not very funny. More like arrogant. Customers should not have to deal with these issues... I'm 42 years old not a child.. I don't like to play mind games. I'm a business owner myself and would appreciate more consideration and not t mention respect! Two thumbs down!
