      I keep getting a charge of $57.00 every month. I have not been able to find a way to contact the company.

      I was charged $57 on April 9th and May 9th without my authorization. I have attempted to contact the company several via phone calls and emails and have not gotten a response. My bank told me I had to contact the business to get a refund. I would like a refund on both unauthorized charges.

      We are having unauthorized charges drafted from our checking account. I have left messages and sent emails with no response.

      Purchase of a ***** whiskey glass etched that commemorated his being the 45th and 47th president in early January 2025. Unsolicited membership fee of $57 charged to my credit card since then. Could never get a response from the Initiative or found any other mechanism to cancel this "unsolicited" membership until this week. Finally received an email that said it would only reimburse two months membership as well as cancel this membership. This is not acceptable. No easy way to cancel membership and/or receive a return call. Plus their one mechanism to cancel or place a concern never worked until recently.

       I am rejecting this response because:

       

      The charges began in January and the $57 for January and February WERE NOT reimbursed. The charges for March and April were. I explained that their business made it virtually impossible to cancel due to lack of easy location of details in how to do it, lack of response of their part as well as failed systems (non-working forms, unanswered telephone messages, etc.). They deny any issues on their part. This is totally unacceptable. It is because of their failure that I was charged at all, because I tried to cancel right away and was unable to do so. It was only recently that I was able to get through to them and receive a response. They should be required to revamp their systems in addition to giving me back the $57 for January and February. They gave me unsolicited access to something I did not want and could not easily cancel. Therefore, in my opinion this is elder abuse because it is stealing from a seniored widow on a fixed income.

       I am rejecting this response because:


      This is rejected because the company is absolutely tone deaf to what happened. They did not provide
      adequate systems for me to be able to cancel this unsolicited membership from
      January until just recently. They are willing to return 2 months of membership;
      however, they did not answer their phones, they did not have a working system,
      including a form submission to do this very thing. Therefore, I demand that
      they reimburse the 2 months of January and February. They simply ignore people
      with the hope of bilking them of funds until their company decides to respond. They have been operating with failed systems that do not help the
      consumer but do line their pockets with money from people, like myself, who is
      a widow on a fixed income.

      There is no confusion
      on my part. I never used any of their programs. None of their systems that they
      claimed would let me cancel ever worked until recently. Therefore, I require
      the 2 months of January and February $57 membership fee be returned to me.

      My husband who has dementia ordered an item from this company. When he ordered the item they automatically enrolled in an online magazine for $57.00 a month. I only noticed this on his credit card after 5 months. Even if it is written under the item that they would be enrolled, the people who got took didn’t read it, and it happened to a lot of people. Who orders a magazine subscription knowingly for $57.00 per month???? A subscription offer should be a separate transaction from ordering an item. The company cancelled and gave us 2 months refund, but they got 57.00 x 3 months for us getting nothing. If this is legal, then it is deceptive and you know they know they are making lots of money on unsuspecting people. They should be shut down, all of their businesses, they should have to pay a big time fine, and pay everybody they took to the cleaners all their money back.

      Bought a promotional item on 04/23/25, rejected all the other offers that were offered including a 14 day trial to SOS academies, aka national self reliance initiative, was just charged $67 for fees for the above offered, haven't been able to find a website or phone number get ahold of them to have it canceled and refunded

      The Steel River Widowmaker Fixed Blade offer you ordered was packaged and advertised as including a 14 day free trial to The National Self-Reliance Initiative, formerly known as Science of Skill Academy, which became a monthly subscription. This was described in the offer and on the checkout page along with the Welcome to the community email you receive with the link, username and password at the time the order is placed.

      I've canceled the subscription for you, and refunded the $67 charge per our return policy. Please allow 3-5 business days for bank processing time.

      I ordered a t-shirt that was offered for $9.95 and paid. Several weeks later on 1/31/25, I was charged $57.00. I tried contacting them but got no response.

      I had some medical issues and was hospitalized and completely forgot about the issue.

      I just noticed another $57.00 charge for May 1st and notified them a second time to find out why they were charging my credit card. In looking further into it, I discovered they have been charging me every month $57.00?

       I am rejecting this response because:


      The response was inadequate. They only agreed to a partial refund of $57.00 They did not address the previous (4) electronic transfers of $57.00 they charged my credit card. No product or service was provided for their continued monthly withdrawals they made to my credit card. 

      They used hidden notice of something I was charged for that did not supply any product or service of any type to me. 

      It seems that they used my credit card as their personal bank account for themselves only.

      It doesn’t make sense to me that they cannot offer any returns because it’s against their policy!!! They withdrew money from my account w/o permission. Should I get an atty and take them to court? This is theft and larceny.

      I ordered a promotional item, (a hatchet) and declined every offer that was presented to me. I was still charged for some unknown subscription, $57. I have tried to call and just get a message. I have also attempted to do the chat that they say is available, but no chat option in on their page, I have sent an email and I got an automated response. I have seen the same complaint online, once I had this happen to me.

      I ordered, and received, a $9.95 ***** Calendar on 01/04/25 from SC and have recently discovered I was fraudulently billed $57 (the same amount as others on BBB complaints) on 01/18, 02/17 and 03/19! ****** did the same thing to me last year! Youd think Id learn! These people must be stopped from stealing from innocentnot so tech savvy citizens!!
