I recently purchased 2 douglas all season 225/60 R18 tires for my wifes Subaru Outback with all wheel drive. While driving 10 miles under the speed limit (55 in a 65) in the rain on a major highway the car unexpectedly hydoplaned and went across a lane of traffic hit a guardrail ended up facing oncoming traffic. We had never had a problem with our previous tires and hydroplaning. My entire famy almost died. These tires are dangerous.Business Response

I have a service done with Audi Livermore on 6/29/2022, they told me that they found a damaged bolt, and the wheel hub of the car is damaged.
So I went back to Goodyear on ***** * **** *** *** *******, and explained to them, that they said it was not their fault and sent me to the claim department, and they will send someone from the third-party insurance company to examine what happened. So I submitted the claim and got a letter from them last week that said they will not send to anyone examine the car or provide further support.
I want to find out who should be accountable for the mistake and have them pay for the repair.
Please contact me if you need more supporting documents.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
to my incident.
In common sense, people would perform rotation on wheels every 5-6k miles or 6 months. I would not have found out the inside of the bolt was stripped until someone take the wheels off.
I was shocked when Audi documented and notified me that my wheel was found damaged.
To me, Goodyear is simply pointing fingers at the person who reports the problem to me.
As I went to the local mechanics, I show them the bolt and tell them the story. They all said that the last person who put it on was damaged, which is Goodyear.
I will attach a picture of my bolt with this letter.
I will not back down until Goodyear proves itself innocent with a third-party mechanics inspection, or own up to its own mistake.Business Response

As stated perversely , Anyone could have done this when the wheel was removed and reinstalled.. the time frame was 6 months and 6,525 miles after the Goodyear location had worked on the customers vehicle.
The dealership who had just rotated the customers tires or another shop.Initial Complaint

Good afternoon,
I was able to reach out to *** ********* in regards to his issue in receiving his rebate. I advised that the rebates are handled by a 3rd party company and i expressed my concern as to this not being sent to him. *** ********* mentioned to me after that, that he had in fact been in contact with a member of the rebate team who confirmed that the rebate has been sent out to him and is on the way. I advised that if for any reason the rebate does not come in 2 weeks from today, or it isn't for the correct amount that he can contact me (gave him my phone and email) and i will see that it gets corrected. We don't want to send out duplicate debate amounts to the customer, so we will confirm what has been sent to the customer upon receiving the amount, and then handle from there. It sounds like he is going to get the proper amount. I apologized deeply for the confusion and hassle, but thanked him for sticking with us.
** was happy to hear that he could contact me with any concerns in the future and we will be able to quickly fix any issue that may occur in the future.

I am rejecting this response because:
This mischaracterizes my response. I have so far been told i am getting 25, 50, or 75 dollars by various employees, and at this point have no idea what will actually happen. Also the website still says there is a problem with my rebate, so there are 4 possible outcomes.
So who knows what will happen?
I still feel that this is a tactic to delay responding to me unit the deadline has passed so they can deny sending me anything.
not happy and don't feel it's resolved, have gotten nothing so far.
Also I don't care that Goodyear uses another firm for part of the process.

On 6/20/22 (today is 7/19/2022) I purchased and had installed a set of 4 tires at Goodyear east Aurora NY, as soon as I left I noticed they did not feel right 4 days later I went back to have them rebalanced and no major difference was felt. Not much after that I visited a mavis tire location to get their opinion, and was advised my tires static numbers were off And the tires were not correctly balanced, making this the 3rd time I had to have them balanced and 1st out of pocket cost of ~$86. They felt fine for a small amount of time and the more I drove the vehicle the more and more they felt like they were out of balance. I scheduled an appointment with Tesla and had them rebalance the tires again and yet again it will temporarily correct the issue, this making the 4th time being balanced in less that 30 days and 2nd out of pocket cost of ~$175. It has been nothing but back and forth and Goodyear simply saying when I have them rebalanced to contact them. Which will be happening as something is wrong with the tire itself, the foam inside or something. I contacted good year to have the tires inspected and I went to have them inspected, and was advised the case was closed as I was issued a refund for the balancing of the tires by outside sources. I simply started the claim to get a full refund or simply a new set of tries as these 4 have been nothing but issues since being put on. I never had issues with my car like this prior to good year installing these tires. I have spoke with numerous Goodyear employees and they stated it was sounding like a bad install or defective tires. Goodyear customer service does not stand behind their product nor their 30day refund guarantee.Business Response

I communicated with the customer Wednesday July 20th. Our store located in East Aurora, NY will process a 30 Day Ride Pledge. I suggested to the customer to call the store and schedule a tire installation appointment. As of today, July 21st, I have not received a reply from the customer.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
An offer was made for a 30day pledge for anew set of tires, I am happy for the offer and will be following through. The reason I am “rejecting” this is currently the pledge has not be met and am awaiting for the tires to be delivered and put on at a later date. Will update BBB accordingly.Customer Answer

to me
Howdy I just realized the complaint has been closed which I understand, but just wondering if you have any pointers. I am being told one thing by someone from the corporate level of Goodyear(GY) and another from the store level. I am at a loss, I have tried contacting GY again and they stated there have been so many hands in the pot so to say they don’t want another rep getting involved. This case/claim stands around getting anew set of tires due to defective ones, one member of GY customer service stated I am allowed to take the tires and have them installed at my place of choosing, corporate level states that is it up to the store manager, and after speaking with the location manager she states they do not allow it. And they have written in my file I am not getting tires now, to take anywhere. On top of this they need the tires inspected yet again, after last time I was at a GY location they stated my case was already closed and they felt no need to inspect them. So I understand if you have not much to say, but I am at a loss for words with GY and their team. Thanks.

Worst. Experience. Ever. I went to this location in November to ask about a tire that kept losing pressure. After mansplaining and talking down to me they lied and said I needed a new sensor for $280. Two days later the tire was flat again. Turns out there was just a leak but they wanted more money. I bought a new tire out of desperation and now not even a year later the tire is bad and making noises. The manager was rude, disrespectful, again mansplaining and talking down to me, and tried to deny that they could have sold me a faulty product. I have registered complaints with their corporate office and will be visiting another Just Tires location to hopefully get a replacement but this kind of customer ********************** is just plain uncalled for.Business Response
