      Had windows installed 3 users ago by this company and had a great experience. So we decided to have them replace the bay windows in our kitchen. Numerous problems along the way with the order details. Recessed lights were promised at one point and put into the contract. 1 week before install we get told that lights can't be installed even though it was already in contract and approved. July 15 2025 bay windows is installed but no interior trim pieces were sent by the company. On Thursday July 17 2025 we notice that the picture windows on the brand new bay window is leaking water. So I now have a new bay windrow that leaks and with no interior trim. Representative ***** from company continues to remind me that company doesn't usually compensate customers because of the lifetime warranty in the contract...I reminded him that there are also laws to protect consumers against poor quality and workmanship. So there is supposed to be someone coming out to inspect the project on Monday July 18. We'll see how things proceed from here. But as return customers we do not feel confident in this company anymore and will not be recommending them to anyone. Some of the people seem very nice but nice doesn't solve the fact that this project has been a disaster. Would really like to dosh to the owner. Don't know what happened to this compost in 3 years but they definitely changed... and not for the better.

      Used Universal Windows, For My Windows & Siding, Rep was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through the entire process, windows are a huge improvement and my siding looks great, to add i met with numerous companies, and like the fact that UWD has exclusive products, and isn’t just a middle man for multiple windows options and siding options,
      I’ve had 2 issues since install in 2023 and both times service has come out quickly and fixed both of them, i would recommend UWD to anyone asking.

      Indicated installation would begin @ 8:00AM when they don’t show up at 8:00AM. You call and someone else tells you 8:00AM to 10:00AM. Customer Service is rude and condescending. I hope their windows are better than their service, scheduling and promptness. They are very expensive.

      They won't stop calling me. We provided our information at a county fair when a sales person there told us they completed a specific service. Upon receiving a confirmation call for our appointment, we were advised that is not a service they offer but we should still let them come out. I asked to be removed from their call list, but still receive 2 calls a month from them trying to set up appointments. They tell me they can keep calling because I originally provided our phone number. I just want them to stop.

      One of the worst decisions of my life was to have Universal Windows installed. The material is cheap vinyl and once you're on their mailing list, you will never, never be removed regardless of how many promises you get. They will nag you forever to purchase more and more of their junk. Never again!

      Beware of Universal Windows D.
      We decided to replace a few windows that were in the worst condition, some of the frames were rotten in places.
      Important note: We had no idea—since we had never replaced windows before—that “window replacement” just means inserting a new glass unit into the existing frame, not replacing the entire window 1:1. The company representative never mentioned this, and we assumed it was obvious what “replacing a window” meant. That’s why, after brief negotiations, we accepted the price for replacing a few windows. We thought it would be worth it.
      After the installation, when we realized what “window replacement” actually involved, we felt completely ripped off. We would have never agreed to such an inflated price just to replace the central part of the windows and—on top of that—lose 20% of the glass surface.
      The manager of Universal Windows Direct completely ignored us. He never responded to our texts, even though we asked repeatedly. The technician promised to follow up the next day. No one ever got back to us. We called and messaged multiple times. They tried calling us but that was against our clear request to contact us via text or leave a specific phone number since we’re often unable to answer phone calls.
      But that’s not all. After signing the contract, we received no paperwork. Two months later, we got a call about the installation date—and that was it. The installation itself didn’t go smoothly either—someone messed up the window handles, and we had to wait another two full months for the correct ones. No joke—two months of unusable sliding glass doors. And did I mention they installed new glass units into the old frames and didn’t bother to address the parts of the frames that clearly needed repair?
      We only received copies of the contract, warranty, and invoice after calling the company office following the final handle installation.
      This is not a professional business—let alone an ethical one.

      This is ***** ** back for Review #2. Well, I ordered foyer window for installation. The foyer window was installed on December 4, 2024. The 3-man crew was at my home at 8 a.m. sharp. They surveyed the job and got started. They finished the job in a hour; by 9 a.m. they had cleaned up the site, and were gone! I'm impressed! I would recommend Universal Windows Direct to anyone!

      I had new windows installed over a month ago, and waiting on siding and soffit replacement to complete the job. Zero contact from Universal Windows in timeline or if it will be completed. They have not answered customer service calls and have not returned several messages. They collected 100% of the money owed and I am left with an incomplete job.

      I had windows replaced in my sunroom and kitchen back in March 2024. At that point there was already misinformation, confusion with the installers and questionable installation. Not what was told to me when I signed the contract for the Windows. The window installation is OK, just OK.
      A month after the installation a golf ball hit my window and broke it. That was in April 2024. I am now seven months on waiting for the replacement window and I have been getting a story every time I call. No one ever returns my calls and when I do get through to someone, they tell me the same exact thing. No one knows anything about the window. Replacing a broken window is part of their warranty. I wish I had never gone with Universal Windows direct. Their lack of communication is off the charts. I would not ever recommend them….still waiting for my window

      We were recommended to go with UWD for 3 replacement windows. Nate ****** was our sales representative. He seemed to know the products, yet in hind sight did NOT offer us flex screens while they were available and our preferred screen type. We signed a contract in September of 2023. The crew arrived to install the windows. 6 guys showed up. The laundry room installer and the den installer left a mess all over each room. Pieces of wood and scraps all over the floor, nothing was vacuumed.
      I went upstairs to ask the bedroom window installer how to remove the screens (they weren’t flex screens as we know how to remove flex screens.) He said “they are a pain in the ass these regular screens.” He proceeded to try to get it out and show me and the entire screen fell down to the ground and landed on our AC unit.
      We spoke with Kerry W and Ben. We are STILL awaiting a flex screen for our den window. We are on our 12th service call ! (We have been asked to pay our bill in full- which we did and told our job was completed. If we didn’t pay our bill in full we wouldn’t have a service call provided. “Carol” told me this.
      Other than a $100 Amazon gift card after pressing this inept company for some restitution, MORE than a year later and 11 service visits, we are still awaiting a proper fitting flex screen for our den. NO ONE from UWD reaches out to us to apologize or make this right. We haven’t received a single call from management reaching out to solve this problem once and for all.
      We have heard their supplier is to blame? How many ways are there to measure a screen to fit one window? Jason B. was the last visit in 10-1-2024. No one has reached out since. We wait 6 weeks each time for a screen x 11 visits. Still no flex screen that fits!!
