Please do not use Mr Rooter of Columbus or their restoration company. My husband and I are seniors and my husband is taking cancer treatment . They took advantage of our age and situation. Our septic system backed up and went in our garage and lower floor. They blew out the backup in garage pipe but told us we needed to pull up all pipes in lower level plus floor and walls in family room, stated they needed to replace all the pipes. I asked their salesman/manager ***** ***** if it could wait until tomorrow to talk to my sons. He said and I quote” yes if you don’t mind sh— in your basement again. Also if you want to go to bathroom go to gas station and if you want a shower go to car wash” was going to cost $28400.00. Said we did not have that kind of money so he talked us into a finance company had me sign papers for 12.94% for 15 years. Next day we called finance company to cancel they said they could not and would be sending them a check.finance company ********. Second opinion just clean tank and fix aerator. Dealing with so much they took advantage. And resortation company left all bags they had filled with things waste touch. Should have gone to hazard dump but they left me with about 10 bags. Think this is illegal with waste removal. Still fighting to have finance company to not pay 28400:00 to Mr Rooter. They only blew pipe out and tore of woodwork I told them not to. Contractor thru insurance is sending contractor in to repair the damage they did.I did pay 679.00 to blow out pipe which they asked for immediately. Shame on Mr Rooter,,, also they own ** ******** and the restoration company. Beware!,,,,,,

Having experienced "the light at the end of the tunnel " to be repeatedly another "freight train" in my ongoing hopes of completion, Tom from Mr. Rooter came on time, worked hard and quickly and kept me adequately informed and completed his portion of said project We all make our own reputation. I was favorably impressed. by both his work ethic and personality. In my opinion he is a valuable asset to both the business and their clients

This company is the worst. I called them out to snake my toilets. The so-called plumber that showed up did not even look at the toilets. He started recommending things. He had two other guys join him, and they tried to tell me my basement needed to be dug up and the plumbing going to the outside needed to be replaced. They wanted to do a power flush-out (or whatever they call it). It was 'only' going to cost around $900. My husband told them to go ahead. They started in the basement, and when the water backflowed they stopped. They did not complete the job and left a mess in my basement. I will not ever use them again, and will not recommend them to anyone!!!!

I purchased a new hot water tank from Mr. Rooter and had them install it. I paid for them to pull a permit (~$225). A year later i was having issues with the tank and couldn't seem to find a settlement during the impasse. I went to my local city office to find out they never pulled the permit and the city was not happy about this. After visiting the Mr. Rooter office and meeting with a manager and bringing this to their attention, they immediately went and pulled the permit (a little over a year later). I'm still left with a fairly new water tank that is acting up. A supervisor was nice enough to come out and have a look. They wanted to charge me nearly $300.00 for a tank cleaning/inspection, even after not pulling proper permits required @ the time of installation. I've never had an issue with their technicians, they've always been great and quick to respond. I'm upset about paying for a permit to be pulled and it never happening until a year later when i was having issues and had to bust them on not pulling the permit. Mr. Rooter is stating the tank was installed correctly. I'm not a plumber, so I don't know who to believe, but not pulling a permit during/shortly after installation leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I've been a loyal customer of theirs for a few years and have spent a few thousand with them between various plumbing fixes.
