1 starMr. ********************** incompetence cost me $4928.09 for a supposed plumbing problem that did not exist. I was charged $963.89 for a camera inspection and flushing of a sewer line. Mr. **********************s plumber told me that I had a collapsed pipe and would need to have that part of the system cut out and replaced. Mr. ********************** offered to complete the job for an additional $4800. Instead, I hired my own plumbers and after $3964.20 of work they presented me with the supposed collapsed pipe. The pipe was absolutely normal. There was no obstruction.Review fromFrank P

1 starI have to say I was very disappointed with the quality of service we recently received from Mr. *********************** Back in October, we noticed a leak in our basement, and called them, and this plumber came and put a wax ring, but there was still a leak, and we were then told that the entire bathroom floor had to be replaced. Another restoration company happened to be here at the same time to check on something else and had to tell this plumber to check for asbestos. He also left the house for about an hour to buy another saw, and then left again to return it, but instead left the saw at our house in our basement and the pipe was also left here. Well, anyway, we were now without a bathroom and had to stay in a hotel, and we made an appointment for the plumber to come and finish the installation, and my wife took time off from her job to be here for the 2 hour window from 8-10am. She texted me around 9:30am and said no sign of the plumber, and so I called and they said I would get a text message/phone call when he was on the way, and they would be there. By 10:15am, still no sign of the plumber, so my wife called and they got the plumber on the phone and he told her that he took another job and would be there all day. So she took time off from her job to be there for a plumber that never showed up, and didn't even try to correct the mistake by leaving the other job to come to our house as scheduled, even after she said she took time off from her teaching job. She said she had to leave for work in about 15 minutes and he just said 'well I guess I won't be there then'. We are now ending up having to spend our holidays in a hotel room because we have no bathroom. We were very upset about the way we were treatedReview fromMike W

1 starI am writing this to spare anyone else an outrageous estimate for plumbing work. I purchased a new stylish faucet fixture for my remodeled bathroom, and requested installation. The tech checked the old fixture briefly and reported that it had "dry leaks" which could possibly lead to a mold problem. All this was irrelevant since the new fixture contained all new materials. I subsequently found out by another plumber that I did hire that there was nothing significantly wrong with the old fixture, aside from regular use. Mr. ********************** wanted to charge $236 for each new supply hose, which the plumber I did hire charged me $15 each for the two hoses which he had in his truck. Also, the Mr. ********************** tech said that he needed to turn off the main water valve, and that this would cost $200. Then he said that it had a leak and wanted to fix that for @$1200 before doing any work on the bathroom fixture. The plumber I hired installed the new fixture in the bathroom for less than $200 without having to turn off the main water valve (there are valves under the sink that turn the water off). I had the main valve checked by the Plumber I hired and several other people, and aside from the handle being a little wet, there was no water leakage and does not require immediate attention. The Mr. ********************** tech spent a very short amount of time assessing the work, but at least 20 minutes writing estimates ranging from $600 over $800 for the faucet installation, and then $200 turn the main valve off and replace it for $1200 before he was comfortable doing the faucet installation. I had the feeling that this person had been trained to find anything possible to do to make a sizable estimate. My online search found plenty of plumbers/plumbing companies (I did not think there that many for some reason), and thankfully I found one with integrity who did a wonderful job.Review fromRyan C

1 starHad a shower line break taking out the valve for replacement. They arrived late, asked what our maximum we wanted to spend? Gave estimate of 1189.00 plus tax. As he was asked to leave, the next company showed up. Had $227 in material/parts and $100 in labor. Done in an hour, done right, done quick and did I not try to gouge us. Rip offs, taking advantage of folks.Review fromTony E

They were working on a new septic system for my home. After waiting eighteen months, I caller Mr. Rooter. They said the man working on this project no longer works for them! They would send someone out that afternoon between three and five to see my project. About four o’clock they called and said they no longer do septic systems. No calls from them for eighteen months!!Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Columbus

****, we're sorry for any lack of communication. When we spoke with the county on your behalf about the issues you were having with your septic leach field, they had you provide a soil sample, which determined an upgraded system was needed. Unfortunately, this is not a service we can currently provide to you, and we had to decline to continue to work on your project. We understand that this is frustrating, but we want you to receive the very best workmanship possible. We pride ourselves on providing top-of-the-line service, but we are unable to ensure that for this project. We wish you all the best moving forward. Thank you. 1 starThis is one of the most dishonest companies. They checked the wrong toilet when providing service to our home and performed no work as the toilet was already in good working order. They then charged us $200. As they're SUPPOSED to be certified plumbers you would expect they would let the homeowner know the toilet was fine and needed no attention. We then had to call them to come back out the next day and have them fix the toilet that did need serviced. Which they then charged us an additional $200. This is absolutely a case for bad-faith and we will be filing with the Ohio Attorney general because who knows how many other people they have done this to. If you wish to work with an honest company this is not it.Review fromAlice M

5 starsWe used Mr. Rooter this week to replace 80 year old cast iron sewer pipes in our downstairs basement. The job wasn't urgent but was very necessary for repair. We thank Mr. Rooter for their quick response. The technician came out, gave me several options with reasonable estimates. After reviewing everything with my sister, we called Mr. Rooter back and the technician returned and replaced the pipes all in the same day. The replaced pipes eliminatd ea sewer smell and it looks so much better!! It was a messy job, but I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter and use their services again if necessary.Review fromThomas C

1 starI will not use again. I believe I was overcharged for all work that was performed. My insurance company did not pay for much and by me signing, I had to pay charges. I advise everyone that is going to use Mr. Rooter, read the fine print when they get the mitigation company at your house with forms to sign. They talk really fast. Just be careful and read every word before you sign. They lost a very good customer. I used to have them do a lot of work, but it ended with my last experience on 07/21/23.
