    I rank Smartpay in the same ranking as I do ********, Payday Advance companies, and **** ******. If you pay your 11 month lease off with Smartpay in the first month or don't even go through them, in the 11 month lease you will pay 3 times what the phone is new. a 252.00 phone in 11 monthes will cost you 756.00 dollars, What a rip off. Title max if you get a 1,500.00 loan, paying the minium, in 9 monthes you will have paid in interest what you borrowwed and still owe them the 1,500.00 dollars. Beware of the insurance scam too, your deductable is what you can buy the phone new for.

    I am grateful for the opportunity Straight talk/Smart pay gives to purchase a new phone and make small monthly payments. I have not had any issues until now. In early June I received a replacement card because of an unauthorized transaction. I had a lot going on so I forgot to update my card to Smart pay. I can admit that. On 7/25/22 two payments of $22.70 was taken out from Smart pay for June & July payments. I go to check my account and Smart pay has my old card AND new card on file, BUT the transactions says that the payments were taken from the old inactive card... I call and ask how did my new card get on file. The rep says that it was added via the website on 7/25/22 at 6:52 am... I did not update my card information on the website or call in either. So I emailed smart pay with attachments showing how the inactive card has payment processing by it and advise of the fraudulent activity. Smart pay then emails me back claiming that my "new" card has been on the profile since 2019 when I first started a lease with them and I never requested to remove it. I emailed them back advising that that information is incorrect and that I disputed the transaction with my bank. My bank can vouch for me. I have no idea how they were able to get my card information to make a payment. That's straight up fraud and then lie on me. I am not happy about this at all. I definitely won't be using their services anymore.

    I attempted to place an to place an order with this company as I them in the past a couple of times. I have an excellent record and was just tired of paying a high cell phone ****. It was an easy process the first time of course So since I had been customer, THEY sent me an approval. But now after about 15 attempts, several phones calls, even speaking to a supervitsor, insulted by an agent that I didn't have the money to pay for it, holds on my account, providing them my social security number, even though, I verified everything else, I still had to send them identification to prove who I was and the order was still cancelled. The worst of it is my information was changed in their system by one of their agents; but instead of just admitting their error, they make me jump through a bunch of hoops again only for the order to be cancelled again. And they are the same company. I want this issue fixed and a formal apology. I now regret just buying my phone niece a phone from them. Now I have to wait for these holds to drop off my account. I have worked in customer service and if I treated customers like they do I would be fired.
