Trying to get care at Cleveland Clinic is an awful experience as a patient. Trying to get an appointment with the first available cardiologist for chest pain took 5 months! Apparently, we should just wait to have a heart attack and go to the ER! The doctors are absolutely awful about following up on test results. I waited for 4 days after my ECHO and the doctor would still not respond to my my chart messages to let me know the interpretation of results and whether it was safe to scuba dive. I could not get in touch with anyone at the office to get any answer either. To make matters worse, I wait on hold 10-20 minutes just to speak with an operator when calling the clinic, before being transferred to the correct area, to then wait on hold again. The calling system is the worst I’ve ever encountered in healthcare. Nobody is there to help the patient anymore. It’s just seeing as many patients as possible to collect as much money as possible for the hospital, without any quality for patients. This system is the worst!

Prior the surgery on 02/26/24, I have 2 small kidney stones: 1 6 mm and 1 8mm in the left kidney. In the pre-surgery meeting on 1/1/24, the doctor told me those could be easily grabbed out by tools via bladder entry since the lithotripsy procedure was not effective for uric acid stones. After the surgery, from the CT scan on 05/17/24, I’ve found out there are 3 stones appeared in the same area of the left kidney: 1 6mm, 1 3mm, and 1 2mm. The smallest stone may be a broken piece from the previous bigger stone. From the medical record, it was shown using laser lithotripsy procedure, which was a different procedure when I was told. If the laser lithotripsy procedure was used, all stones should be pulverized and gone. So, it is not reasonable for me to pay for the surgery cost which resulted nothing done on my kidney stones.

      YOU BYOE THE JUDGE
ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO I WAS HAVING SOME SIGHT ISSUES AND WENT TO THE BEACHWOOD COLE EYE AND SAW A FEMALE DOCTOR. MY EYES WERE BOTH 20 20 AND MY EYE PRESSURES WERE 20. THE DOCTOR SAID LETS DO A SIMPLE PROCEDURE WHERE IT WOULD BRING DOWN THE PRESSURES EVEN MORE....
SHE DID THE PROCEDURE ON MY LEFT EYE AND AFTER IT WAS OVER MY LEFT EYE LID WOULD NOT OPEN AND WHEN FORCED OPEN I COULD NOT SEE... THE PRESSURE INSTEAD OF GOING DOWN WENT WAY UP... NOW IT WAS 45.
SHE SAID GIVE IT TIME AND A YEAR LATER SHE SAID SHE GAVE UP AND SENT ME TO A ERED I HAVE GLAUCOMA.... THE NEW GLAUCOMA DOCTOR IS THE REASON OF THE FOUR STAR.. HE IS REALLY A FIVE STAR.... THEY EYE HAS NOW BEEN SHUT FOR OVER TWO YEARS AND I FINALLY WENT TO A OUTSIDE DOCTOR AND HE SAID THE CORNEA IN THE SURGERY WAS DAMAGED AND THAT IS WHY I CANNOT SEE... HE SAID IF IT COULD BE FIXED THEN THE EYELID COULD SURGECALLY BE OPENED. .... THE GLAUCOMA DOC SENT ME TO TWO DIFFERENT CORNEA DOCTORS AND ONE WHO ONLY COMES IN ONCE A WEEK TRIED TO HELP ME.... IT APPEARS FIXING MY EYE THAT THEY DAMAGED IS LOW ON ANYONES PRIORITY .... BEFORE THAT SURGERY I DROVE A CAR AND NOW CANNOT DRIVE AND HAVE TO HIRE PEOPLE TO HELP ME.... I AM GOING TO BEG THE GLAUCOMA DOCTOR WHO I DO LIKE TO PLEASE TRY AND HELP ME... FOR YEARS HE SAID THEY WOULD PUT A TEAM TOGETHER TO HELP ME BUT IT STILL HAS NOT HAPPENED....

COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE! They have the absolute worst staff of any healthcare facility in the state of Florida! Especially if you need a referral, setting appointments, or any kind of help or response from their staff... a bunch of SLACKERS who could care less about you or your elderly family members get the care they need. I will never go back to them again.

I came into the clinic for disorientation, head pain, and difficulty thinking. They spent 15 minutes setting up an account at the front desk. I went into the examination room and a nurse enters, takes my blood pressure and asks me a couple questions. They leave and immediately the doctor comes in and says, "We don't have any equipment here to diagnose what might be wrong with you. I recommend you go to an emergency room. You can leave now." 10 total minutes between both of them, billed $850 and given no information at all. Tried to contest the charge and the billing rep said, "If you walked into the room you owe the money. It doesn't matter what they did or didn't do. You chose to go there so now you have to pay the bill." $850 to be told, "Go somewhere else." I'm not sure how it's legal to be charged for being refused treatment.

I find this hospital to be very difficult to do business with. It usually takes several phone calls to get an answer. You get handed off to another party and while you wait for an answer you are bombarded with ads, most of which have no relation to your reason for calling. And, of course, at each transfer you hear "if this is a medical ...." I know, they all do that. I think the CEO of this and other hospitals should have that played for them 24 hours per day for eternity, before and after they die.
A few weeks ago I was waiting for my zoom call to commence when I found that you don't go to zoom as normal, but My Chart. So, this time I went My Chart. I waited and waited. Finally, I called in and found that I had joined too soon. That I had to join after the appointed time. I saw no instruction for this. I should just know it (which I might have if I was 60 years younger.) So, when I go for a real life appointment I will be sure not to arrive early. Oh, wait, this is the medical profession. You should arrive 15 minutes early. So, is my appointment at nine (or 8:45)?
When Cleveland Clinic took over Canton's Mercy Hospital I had to wait 40 minutes for someone to answer the phone. Doesn't seem that they were prepared, Don't know if they ever fixed it because I migrated to Aultman Hospital for most of the treatments that I used to get at Mercy.

The cleveland clinic as big is it as has worked fast and swiftly to tailor an advance medical plan and or procedure for each member of our family. With true genuine staff I felt like we have made friends along the way and our family is looking forward to healthy futures.

I can’t believe they have an A rating with BBB. They are now charging facility fees of over $200 per office visit on top of the co pay. This is new in weston Florida. I have been going there for years and there was never an extra fee charged. They did not notify their patients about this fee and it just appeared on a bill. This is immoral and should be illegal. I will not be going back. I wish I could give them 0 stars.

This complaint is based solely on a price that was higher than prices charged by others?
On 11 Jan 2024 my health care provider suggested I get the first dose of the HZV Zoster vaccine, (shingles). Being that I was in building and I already have once had Shingles, not wanting to get it again, I agreed to getting the shot there and then. A month later my bill for the vaccine shows up in my account. For just the first dose 1 of 2 Cleveland Clinic Florida charged me $681.00. After doing a bit of research, I find that the average cost of said shot is $183.41 per dose. I was being charged almost 400% over the going rate.
After going back and forth with billing for almost 5 months Cleveland Clinic reduced my vaccine charge to $328.90. That is still almost 200% higher than the average price.
Cleveland Clinic Florida has taken advantage of the situation and has gouged me on the price of this shot.
I would like to be credited $128.90 making my cost still higher than the national average, but more fair to the patient.

Went to visit my mom at Euclid Cleveland Clinic. They gave me an issue because of my service dog. I tried calling the complaint line at Euclid and Main Campus. What they did was wrong. No one has called me back at all. I wasn't treated properly and the officer that the nurses called, because it wasn't my mom's animal told me 4 times he had to call his boss and kept waving his hospital ID in my face that said Cleveland Police Officer on it. What he did was wrong, no one has called me back. They need to learn the laws about service animals. I had a stroke in February and also suffer from seizures. They need to learn protocols.
