1 starWalked in twice on two occasions to open a checking account in the ******************** and was told they could not accommodate me both times. They say they require appointments to open checking accounts and they had none available both days! I went to a different bank. Bad business. Who doesnt let someone come in off the streets and spend money in their business????? Im just so appalled.Review fromJohn M

Previously made a complaint about Huntington. They called of course to try to appease me, the failed naturally. Allow customers to spend their own money end of story. Do not give me a debit card and then block transactions!! Do not lie and say you care about me. When they reach out to you wanting to resolve the situation lie to me or pretend to know what you are talking about. I even told them to do some research and call me back the next day haha. When dealing with trash do not expect much.

On June 16, 2025, I deposited my paycheck via mobile deposit into my Huntington Bank checking account. This check was issued by my employer as my regular wages. The following day, June 17, 2025, I discovered that my account had been placed on hold without any prior notice, warning, or explanation.
On June 18, 2025, my account was completely closed by Huntington Bank. To date — June 30, 2025 — I have not received my paycheck funds, no written or verbal explanation has been provided, and my attempts to reach customer service have resulted in vague or no answers. The paycheck funds that were legally deposited into my account have not been returnedThe Huntington National Bank

Huntington bank is the worst that I and my elderly parents have ever dealt with- EVER!!!
Other than the local girls who work in the local branch, the terms “customer service” at the main office in Columbus OH are just lip service and have no meaning!
After being victimized by fraud in excess of $4300, we filed the complaint with Huntington and sent all detailed documents including the Police Report for the Fraud, copies of emails and invoices for the fraudulent transaction and bank forms. First after weeks the bank denied having the documents that were sent (even after verification a couple of times). Then finally replaced the funds “temporarily” while “investigating”. Copies of requested documentation was emailed and provided to them by the branch many times over 3 months only to have the bank take back the funds and close the “case”.
It’s bad enough to fight the criminal fraud, but for Huntington to act like they “investigate” anything is a scam! The “investigator” would never talk to us annd they obviously couldn’t investigate anything even when handed the details on a platter! They have been proven to be inept, incompetent and don’t care about customers.
We are now relying on the State Police to file Felony charges on the merchant to try to eventually get restitution. We are now looking to take our accounts and Mortgage loan elsewhere from Huntington.
Save yourself the headaches and save your money and take it ANYWHERE ELSE EXCEPT HUNTINGTON!!! They should be out of business! Why would they be insured and not help us!? We are now seeking a “Bad Faith” claim against Huntington.
There are many complaints here for a reason!
I like others would leave a “0” for rating but the system don’t allow that!The Huntington National Bank

The Huntington Bank main office did nothing to help us as customers from the bait and switch fraud from an online merchant. They ran us around for 3 months then took sides with the fraudulent merchant ****** **** ***** in Illinois. There is a reason ****** has an F rating on the BBB complaint website and Huntington sided with them to wash their hands of the problem. They have tools like insurance to protect customers and fight Fraud, but choose not to. Huntington also deserves an F rating. The merchant used our bank card for an unauthorized transaction with a 3rd party to complete the fraudulent transaction and Huntington did NOTHING to help protect us as customers. This is Bad Faith with Huntington and we will not be ignored. Legal advice is being sought.Review fromMelanie M

SO done with Huntington been trying for three days to get on my online baking account. handicaped so I barely drive first I get people I can hardly understand the tell them I can't get a code to my phone or email. They send me to different depth and after a 15 minute wait I get hung up on.if I have to drive 35 minutes to fix this I will just close my account. We are selling our house and had a closing date for early June. The buyers used Huntington Bank to finance their mortgage and, even though everything was ready to go, Huntington's underwriters delayed for no good reason, were not responsive to the loan officer and brokers, asked repeated and unnecessary questions, and completely disregarded how the delay of the closing affected both us and the buyers. Even the most technical issues took the underwriters days to review, even though it should have taken ten minutes and the primary bank had already signed off on everything. The closing date was pushed back three times SOLELY because of the delay and non-responsiveness of the team at Huntington - not because of us, the buyers or the appraisal. DO NOT use them to finance your house. If you are selling and they are financing a purchase, refuse the offer. The hassle and delay due to their utter lack of concern for the individuals involved, and their lack of diligence is unacceptable. This disregard and delay has wreaked havoc on the lives of us and the buyers for no good reason.The Huntington National Bank

if I could give huntington bank sba loan a 0 I would, but I guess they can get 1 star instead. lets start out that this loan is now going on 3 months and the guy that is supposed to be handling the loan (****** ********) is very rude and in my opinion lazy. will not get me a closing date or time. would not recommend using ********* bank for a *** loan. even tho they state that they are rated number 1 for *** loans. ridiculous. hope I save someone the hassle with this review.The Huntington National Bank

Huntington Bank told me that they would block all charges from Docusign for the next 2 years; after Docusign would not allow me to cancel my account with them. After receiving a text message from Huntington Bank stating that they had approved a charge of $319.50 from Docusign, I called the service center. I was told that blocks of charges are not guaranteed because vendors can change their name or the amount. This is obvious **** Steer clear of Huntington Bank. Live and learn.
