I recently sent in a payment in full for this account for $2016.60, back in mid March. They kept claiming they did not received, but my bank stated that cashed the cashiers check on 4/2. After multiple calls they finally sent me a letter via mail/message center to state all was received and credited to my acct. Fast forward to yesterday, I check my acct and the balance is back up to $1933.01. I called and apparently one of their employees had intercepted my check and forged/endorsed and applied to another account that. Comenity voided and returned my check to my bank to refund me on 5/6. However, I never received any notification that all of this was happening. Thank God I check my accts everyday. They customer service *****. You have to submit everything on their online message board, and then wait ***** days to get a response or update. The dispute department doesn't even have a phone number you can call, or corporate number. I have been in touch with my bank and they are going to let me know when they receive the returned check. I advised the Comenity *** that I better not see any late fees or additional charges or I will be seeking counsel. They are negligent in every possible way. I am a good customer who pays on time and was just trying to pay off my balance. Once this has been resolved I will be closing my account! This is robbery! Will all the negative reviews, this company should be put "OUT OF BUSINESS"!!!!!!

BEWARE: They closed a retail card account I have had open for 16 years WITHOUT ANY NOTICE. They said it's due to inactivity, but did not inform me they would be closing my account. No letter in the mail, no email, no phone call, nothing. I've never been late on a payment and I use this card every year or two and have been a loyal card holder since 2009. The only reason I was alerted this card was closed it because the credit bureaus sent me an email notification. When I called Comenity and told them I received no notification they were going to close my account, they said too bad, someone put a note in their system that a single letter was mailed via **** in January 2025. I did not receive this letter and I have not moved; my address on file is correct. They said they would not rectify this and my only option is to open a new account. This action by Comenity has significantly hurt my credit score.

Thieves. I sent a balance transfer over to them, via my bank. Comenity demanded a check via the ****. The "conveniently" lost the check. *******'s offer no longer stands. The interest rates are beyond mafia's. Never do any banking with this company. Just look at their reviews on ******, ****, and the BBB. Total garbage.

They are total thieves. I paid my balance in full four months before it was due, and they charged a return check fee and a late fee. I have called three times, written a letter, and provided documentation from my bank. They continue to insist on their insane position that they need a letter from my bank regarding the return payment. The return payment that never happened. **************** is far more credible than this disgusting excuse for a business.

Issues with Community Bank customer service started in March 2025. I called to resolve my late payments and overall balance. Even though there were things that kept me from making a payment, it’s still my responsibility. I completely understand they have a job to do and a business to run. With that being said, representatives need a review on how to speak with customers. Not only that, they need a review on the banks own policies. Specifically their late payment policy. It was my understanding, paying off the balance meant exactly that. It didn’t mean being charged another 40 dollar late payment because apparently I called to make the full payment after the payment deadline. Now I received a bill for 80 dollars for two late payments. Yes, read that twice. I have not used my Sally Beauty credit card so one would think I shouldn’t have to make a payment after paying off the full balance in March. I called again today to try to resolve my issue and frankly to dispute the charges. Being that I’m currently recovering from an emergency back surgery where a tumor was scraped from my T1-6 and I’m out of work, I was hoping they would be a little more understanding. Nope, when I began to cry, I was told…. You don’t need to cry, you just need to pay your bill. I should have done more research before applying for this card and I hope the next person reads these reviews and opts out. This review does not represent the excellent customer service and experiences I’ve had while shopping at Sally Beauty. They deserve a 5 star rating.

Paid my bill off and canceled the card. But still getting fees even after I called many times complaining. I finally filed a claim with federal to dispute and to force this company to cancel my good *** card. Scam for sure and if I have to get a consumer lawyer I will. What company refused to let you cancel your card and then charge you fees!?! Scam be aware and don't do business with these criminals

My overall experience with Comenity Bank is a minus ten. I had sent a check to Comenity Bank to pay my J **** bill a month early. Two weeks later, it had not been cashed, i called, it wasn't received. I sent a second check, I called the day before it was due, 2/27/25, it had not arrived, I paid online to avoid being delinquent. At my bank, I stopped payment on the FIRST check. Unfortunately, my bank stopped payment on the second check and Comenity charged me $25 for a returned check. They told me I could have my $25 returned if my bank wrote a letter explaining their error. My bank sent two letters, two weeks apart, one of which was received. Comenity then accused me of being reimbursed the $25 by my bank. I WAS NOT reimbursed and called my bank to verify the fact, in case I had missed it. They HAD NOT reimbursed me. Comenity sticks by their guns and won't return the money. I found them to be a corporate bully; basically they treated me as a cheating dead beat, having never investigated my previous payment history with them, which was over 10 years and obviously had not verified that my credit score always hovers around 830 points. I'd like anyone intending to do credit card business with them to pursue the experience as if entering a viper's nest. They are underhanded, manipulative and greedy.

Lure you with high rates but make it impossible to access your money. ******** acct if you make withdrawals. Send emails (I'm overseas) which they don't even read. Received only form letters to call them. INVEST MONEY ELSEWHERE. Aggravation not worth it!

Poor communication along with their additional fees that are a direct result in their poor communication and making sure people understand the whats, whys, and hows. Then customer service or really anyone that you talk to on the phone wont have an answer for you, but can you blame them? Its just their job to say Im sorry and Ill set you up for 2 additional payments because that solves the issue of them not communicating. If youre thinking about getting this card, just dont. Get an actual reputable credit card not these guys, Ive been paying the minimum payment for over a year, and my balance has gone up, not down. And when I asked why, they said oh yeah the minimum payment doesnt cover the interest, or it only covers the interest and doesnt go towards the principal, I dont remember which. Both answer are goofy and everyone should cancel their academy card at the same time. I use my capital one card, which has a credit limit substantially higher than Comenity and their minimum payment is half, and it goes towards something. Comenity has 0 excuses, other than being greedy.
