      I ordered a couch and loveseat at the end of January gave a delivery date of March. Got a call and said it would be delivered May 19th. They delivered the loveseat and when they tried to bring the couch in they damaged it and it had to be sent back. They scheduled another delivery for two weeks later and they didnt even get that one out of the truck before it was damaged. So, then I get a delivery date for July 21st then come to find out its not coming until August 11th. 6 months from the time of the order and 3 months after it was supposed to be delivered. I guess I should have looked here first before I ordered from these clowns!

      I should have listened to others regarding this company....I ordered a sectional from the Value City in **************** ********. The sectional was supposed to be delivered on 7/1/22. The delivers arrived on the date (late), one of the delivery men came in to my house with the ottoman and and started to put the legs on it (he had a difficult time). The other delivery person walked into my house about 15 minutes later passed by me without saying anything and started talking to the other delivery person (who I know now was his brother). After walking past me I said "hello" and he started to tell me how he didn't have to delivery my furniture because I didn't answer the phone (I have a 15 second call on my call log that proves we spoke). He went on to started talking aggressively saying he didn't have to delivery my furniture because he was "third party" and that he didn't like my attitude. I called my husband (who is very mild mannered) to intervene. The delivery men started to argued with him in the front yard, threatening to leave the furniture curbside in the rain (my spouse talked them into putting it in the garage). It stayed in my garage overnight I called ******* (the delivery manager who sent another group of men to move it into the house and put it together. the next day). I noticed this "new" furniture had batting coming out of it in several places near the bottom (which could have occurred from sitting on the ground in the garage (nothing was under it). ******* did not call me on that day (as promised) to check to see if the delivery was successful, when I called him he said he would send someone out to repair what was suppose to be "new" furniture." By that time I spoke with the manager **** to return the furniture. Needless to say I was charged for a delivery ) which didn't happen the way it was suppose to) and charged by them to pick up damaged furniture. I attempted to call **** who is the manager and he has yet to contact me back.

      I have been a customer of ********************** since I believe ****, I don't know why I kept going back but probably for the cheaper price, well I guess you get what you pay for.After my leather sofa had it's last wear & tear for almost 10 yrs which I purchased from a better furniture store outgrew it's value I decided on Value City.I bought a 3 piece leather sofa set (Free Recliner) that only last 2 yrs when the leather started to peel terribly, after simply showing photos to Value City they gave me a credit which was better than nothing after all it was paid in full. So I decided to purchase another set and asked the salesman if it was REAL ************ told me everywhere I touch as long as it wasn't that fake leather (Faux) paid it off then purchased the matching recliner. After 2 years the couch arms Part of the touching) started to crack REAL leather is not suppose to crack! My luck covis closed down the ********* never stepped out of my house but wrote a claim, after the store reopened I filed another claim because it got worse. Their so called warranty says I didn't claim it on time but It was covid & I still was not leaving my house. This happened during in covid so I don't know why they didn't take that into consideration. All I am saying or WARNING Do not buy anything from Value City They **** at Value..2 sets of sofas, recliner, 2 twin mattresses all fell apart Salesman LIED to me so I would not go to that store if it was the last furniture store open!

      The company is totally unwilling to stand behind their product. Insurance was purchased during the initial negotiations and 2.5 years later, when the Sofa's in question have faded to their pre-colorized level, Value City claims they are not required to address this issue. I wrote a note to their CEO and received a reply that the *** site does not pertain to Value City. Total run around and push back.Please see said complaint below:In September of 2019, we purchased two powered reclining sofas for our daughter. during the first year there was a mechanical malfunction that was reported and service came out to correct same. Subsequently, one of the sofas started the show signs of fading. When this was reported, to ***************** the Representative advised us to wait and see if it gets worse, and they would address the problem at that point. Well, as things normally go, life was in fast mode and we let things slide until it became clear that this product was not going to stop fading as it has now progressed to looking like something that was dragged in from a garbage dump. We met with your store manager in Lakewood and he basically said that he doesn't think there is anything Value City would be responsible for, since it states in the Exclusion clause that fading of material is precluded from the Service Contract. Not to sound glib, but is this any way for a large company to win over a customer? Not only was this product bought and paid for, the additional insurance was purchased as a means of protecting same from potential defects. I have since, spoken with two of you **************** Reps, only to be told "there is nothing you can or will do to remedy this problem" If you take the time to check your system, you will find 4-5 photos of the items listed and their current condition. I cannot believe that Value City would respond in this most unacceptable manner. Purchased: 9/15/19
