My Father is disabled and has had the paper delivered to the orange box next to his door so he's able to get it to read. the last 3 weeks the paper has been thrown in the drive way and he's unable to get it. Ive called 9 times over the last 3 weeks and have been told each time it'll be delivered the next day in the box, the last 2 day the carrier wrote on the paper he will not deliver it to the box any more. this is unfortunate that you wont be willing to help some one who is disabled and has been a customer for over 50 years. We soon will be canceling our paper since I'm unable to get any help with this issue.

A 20+ year home delivery subscription and we are done. Haven’t received a paper in over a week. Spoken to customer service daily, even trying to speak to a manager. Nothing.

When I called to report that my Sunday paper had not been delivered, I of course got an automated answering system. The reply was that my paper would be delivered in an hour. It was not. I called again later and was told by automated system that it would be delivered by noon. It was not. I called again, and was given the option to have my subscription extended. This was not a satisfactory response. I just wanted the Sunday paper. There was never an option to speak to a person. They should have offered to extend my subscription on the first call and told me to get my own paper while there were still copies available. At least that way I would have had my paper. By noon there are no papers available in local stores that carry the Dispatch.

Columbus Dispatch has a serious home delivery problem in Westerville. We are lucky if we get the paper 2 out of the 6 days they deliver. Contacting them via their web page and speaking with their “off shore” customer service has been unsuccessful. Delivery has been so BAD over the past year. Their home delivery is NOT cheap. So disappointed in their lack of addressing this long time issue. Neighbors also have the same problem.

They make canceling subscriptions unnecessarily difficult and continue to rack up charges against you if you can't pay instead of cancelling your subscription.

Thank you for taking the time to provide to your feedback. Based on your eNewspaper subscription there were several declined credit card attempts that could not be completed. You also checked the box agreeing to the terms of sale that included the cancelation and refund policy as well as the autopay requirement. The agent you spoke to stopped your account on 8/3/2023. It is a shame that the Columbus Dispatch does not currently have staff capable of handling subscription-delivery services. After being a subscriber for many years, I canceled my service when I was out-of-state for a few months. Upon my return earlier this year, I signed up again for Sunday-only delivery. I received the newspaper only one time although the $4.00 monthly fee was automatically charged to my credit card each month. In March, I called & explained that the paper was not being delivered & I was reassured that the matter would be addressed. Nothing happened and that resulted in me finally calling to cancel the subscription. Staff did not follow through on the cancellation but continued to deduct the fee so I called again. I then made it impossible for the fee to be deducted; I have received 3 additional phone calls from the Dispatch in the last week from personnel attempting to collect an additional payment for papers that I never received. It is too bad that quality subscription services, newspaper delivery and customer service are no longer important issues! "0 star" is my preferred rating for the Dispatch.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to submit a review. Based on your account, there is only one complaint lodged against your carrier; the date is 3/29. It is important to report missed deliveries as they happen to ensure your account is credited properly. This would also avoid charges again, due to the account expiration date being extended. On Sundays, you are able to report the missed delivery using our automated systems after 8:00 am. If you call before 9:30 am on Sundays you are able to request a paper be brought to you. Reporting missed deliveries as they happen signifies to the carrier and their manager there is an issue. I have waived your past-due balance of $4.00. Please note, by canceling your autopayment, you will be charged $9.00 for a renewal notice. This can be avoided by enrolling in e-Billing. I have escalated your concerns to our Circulation Manager.

I awoke one morning to a charge to my bank for a subscription fee from a company I did not recognize. After extensive searching I realized it was the disguised name for USA Today network subscriptions. I had to track down which specific entity was charging me, as I never have and never would have signed up. I never did learn how they got my information. After finally tracking down who to call to cancel this subscription, I was able to do so. Except beginning a month later that have begun to call my phone multiple times per day trying to get me to resubscribe. All from (**** ****#### (varying last four digits) phone numbers. Changing the last four numbers every time so I am unable to block them. These calls have not stopped.

Hi Nathan, you accepted one of our offers of $1 for 6 months of the Columbus Dispatch eNewspaper on 9/23/2022; the promotional period was over causing the monthly charge you saw. Please remember that your entire credit card number, name, address and phone number are entered before the sale is complete. I was able to locate your account using the email address used in this review. I have added your phone number to our 'Do Not Call' list. This can take up to 30 days to fully be completed. Thank you for your time.

Since my subscription starting March 17,2023 I have only received" 1" delivered paper. No one seems to care at ALL! I am paying for a paper copy of the paper to be delivered. The stores are not carrying the paper. What is the problem?? 1 ?? star is to much for this mess. Can someone at DISPATCH please explain the problem?

Hi Sabrina, I am sorry this has been your experience. I have let the Circulation Director know of your ongoing delivery issues and that you have not received the next-day delivery as requested. A credit will be applied to make sure you are not charged for these days. The credit will extend your current expiration date. Thank you for your time in bringing this to our attention.

Every other Week we do NOT Receive the Sunday Paper which is Paid for!!! Sometimes we have gone 3 weeks without a Paper in a row. The Customer Service is non-existent.

Hi Susan, I am sorry to hear this has been your experience. I have notified your carrier's manager of your concerns and asked for an immediate correction. Customer Service will not know why you are missed unless it is your entire route. Each agent you have emailed or spoken to completed the correct transactions and escalated your concerns as well. If further assistance is needed, please email [email protected].

Dispatch delivery of print news paper is consistently unreliable. Complaints do not resolve the issue. I’m paying for a print edition that I am not getting. It took a month to start delivery when I moved in July 2022. Since then I’ve registered complaints about inconsistent delivery’s. I don’t think a week goes by when we don’t have at least one day when our delivery is missed. I’ve stopped complaining every time because it doesn’t ever help the problem. This time however we’ve missed many deliveries. We received a news paper on Friday December 23rd. We didn’t get a paper again until Wednesday January 4th. We received the paper again on Thursday January 5th. But on Friday the 6th……you’ll never guess……..No Paper again!! What I can’t understand is why. If a delivery person has a route, they must have a list of addresses of subscribers. Why would the paper be delivered only twice this week? Why would we get a paper one day and not another? Doesn’t that delivery person get the number of papers that coincide with the number of addresses that get a paper? Wouldn’t the delivery person have extra papers if they missed addresses? We received a note from the carrier with our paper sometime before Christmas, directing us to mail their tip to their home address because she doesn’t like to carry cash on her route!! My tip is for her to give us a paper every day. Why would I want to reward this terrible service with a tip?

Hello, I am sorry to hear this has been your experience. I have located your account and sent it and your concerns to the Circulation Director of the Columbus Dispatch and his senior members of management. I have asked they verify delivery until your delivery issues are resolved and remain resolved. This means you could receive two papers in one day; a manager will deliver if the carrier has not dropped one. This will generate a resolution.
