Was sent dirty slippers, Not only was the order delayed, but I received dirty slippers. For the price I paid you would think they would be top quality but nope. I sent a chat in to the company and they wanted me to return them for the refund, but could not get me a new pair because they were out of stock. Sending them back would take time money and gas. They would not come to another compromise. Coming from such a large corporation you think they would have more empathy, but they did not.

Customer service is horrible. I was shipped out the wrong shoes I called and was lied to that the right shoes would be shipped the next day, only to receive them 5 days later. When the right shoes came in they had the security tag still attached. Now I have to bring it in to the store to get the tag removed. When on the phone with an agent you always get the run around and lied to. I’m so done with this company. Very inconsiderate.

DO NOT SHOP WITH DSW. I am extremely unhappy with DSW. I recently received a digital gift card for my birthday for DSW. First, they never it sent it to the correct number. That took days to get them to actually finally sent it, even though they claimed that I had already used the money (I did not). After several days of back and forth, they finally sent it to my email. Once I tried to use the gift card, they told me I had no balance on the card (another lie). after ANOTHER 45 minutes on hold, they finally were able to get it to work.
This morning I woke up to an email telling me they cancelled my order, but DSW said they “wouldn’t charge my card”. I tried to resubmit my order and guess what? Of course they charged my card
Moral of the story: DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM and by no means EVER buy a gift card from them. They will fight you tooth and nail to make sure you never use that gift card, essentially stealing your money hoping that you’ll just give up. This is complete fraud. You are advertising that people are able to actually use the gift card, but you CANT. No matter what you do, they will make sure you can’t use it. Don’t waste your money

I buy from this store because they have good coupons, and you can find great deals on some shoes. But when you purchase online, you sometimes get shoes without box tops, floor demo shoes, or even worn returns. Since you buy them online, they offer to replace them, or you can get a refund if you return them. This is very inconvenient, and I believe they use online customers to get rid of the returns to store and demo shoes, instead of discounting them. Most customers must not bother complaining, as this has happened to me over the course of 6 months buying from them. I recommend that you use the ship-to-store option if you can go and pick them up, so that you can refuse them if they are used/demo shoes.

I gotta start by saying the positive: having emailed DSW regarding a defective product I purchased from them online, they got back to me extremely quick! Sometimes even just a few hours later! Bravo to them on their fantastic promptness! But be warned - each response was from a different representative (at least 6 or 7 in my case), which meant each response was completely different. Their initial response was most helpful, but after that, every response to follow had a different answer, and in the end, their answers went from "Yes, we'd be happy to help you" to "We can't help you at all." It was beyond ridiculous. Almost comical, in fact. I eventually gave up - too much unnecessary stress and a complete waste of my time. Should you need to contact DSW customer service, you might be better off doing so over the phone or in person.
Be weary of DSW return policies - even when their products (defective or otherwise) damage within a fairly short time frame, DSW will be anything but accommodating. They may initially seem like they want to help you, but in the end, you may be disappointed. Any empathy or understanding on their part is all a facade. Shoes should last longer than four months, especially when they cost $60.00. Take your business elsewhere.

If I could rate this rip-off of a company zero stars, I would. I purchased 9 pairs of shoes online on 10/9/23 during a 40% off sale of certain brands.
Everything was supposed to be shipped to the store. I waited an obnoxiously long time and didn’t hear from anyone that my shoes were in and upon checking the status, 2 pairs of shoes were canceled which I was not notified about. I called customer service and explained the situation and was told there was an issue in their system that canceled the shoes, but they could help be reorder them. I told the woman I had purchased during a sale and she told me she could give me the discounted price. She then came back on the phone and told me she couldn’t give me the discounted price, but she could give me $10 off my order. No thanks, that isn’t even close to the 40% discount.
I finally called my local store and asked if they had any of my order come in and they couldn’t find anything. I informed them the names/brands of the shoes I ordered, so they checked and said they had some of them come in, but they were under some random name. I went and picked them up. Once I got home, I opened one of the pair of shoes and they looked very worn, which was ridiculous.
Now the real problem is I keep getting charged the full amount for my order over and over again, even though I only actually got 7 out of the 9 pairs. It’s now a month and a half after my initial order and I keep getting notifications that they’re charging my card. It’s been 7 times !

I placed an order. Three minutes later, I was in a customer service chat trying to do one simple thing: change my address from being all on one line to putting the apartment on a second line. Reason being, the address will cut off and packages will not be deliverable.
Three minutes later, I'm in a chat with *****, who tells me my order is too far along in the process to be changed. I had just placed the order minutes ago.
***** said that the order could only be canceled. Okay, fine, I've worked a lot of retail. I get it. Cancel it and I'll reorder.
He couldn't find my payment from PayPal. Because I was trying to have him cancel it SO FAST THAT DSW DIDN'T EVEN SEE A PURCHASE YET. And it was too far in the process to edit?! Really?! I've never heard this in all my years of working retail and purchasing online. Not ONCE has this ever been an issue.
All to say, make sure your address is right. Terry did whatever, he seemed disinterested but his job sucks so I don't blame him. I do blame DSW for having a system in place that THREE MINUTES is too far into the process to put an apartment number on a separate line.
      Utterly disappointed and not pleased.

      They fraudulently charged my card
Every time I called I got a different story
I was told I would be credited
Now today they said they have to investigate it
They told the local store to charge all pending orders even if shows that the shoes weren’t picked up
      Never shop with this store

Terrible customer service. They literally lied to me whenever I contacted them about my order, which still hasn't even shipped yet. Very dishonest company and foreign call centers where no one speaks English.

At your store located Pleasant Hill, Ca. Last year 2022 I stopped into your store to purchase boots for a trip, I stayed in your store for approximately 1.5 hours, observing and trying on boots before I decided to make a purchase. As I approached the counter, I started to get a cue from my body, that I may need to go to the restroom, as I approached the counter, I asked the clerk if she could hold the shoes while I ran to the restroom. The clerk stated the restroom is out of order, you’ll need to use the restroom next door at Dicks sporting goods store. I paid for my boots and ran next door, to use the restroom, up the escalator, asking for the Dick's Clerks for the restroom, directions. Being understanding, maybe there's an urgent issue with their restroom
My thoughts at the time this company DSW, needed to have the restroom repaired, right away, does DSW let its employees run next door to Dicks Sporting Goods store each time they need to use the restroom, employees need to use the restroom at least 3 times during a shift. My thought is that it will be repaired the next time I come into DSW.
Customer toilet facilities influence shopping value and should be a concern for retailers.
In 2023 at the beginning of the year, I returned to DSW in Pleasant Hill, shopped for approximately 2 hours, and asked the clerk if could I use the restroom, the clerk once again stated the restroom was out of order, 3 cashiers were standing at the counter, no one said a word, so this was very obvious this was a lie. I ran next door to Dick’s Sporting Goods store again.
Yesterday September 30th, 2023 I was in the same store for 2hours, selected 3 pairs of shoes, and requested the use of the restroom, the clerk said it was out of order, and I needed to go over to Marshalls, and there were no Marshalls in that mall, the message was obvious, either this was because of my race or a phobia someone has. I left the store and drove to Kohl’s where they let me use their restroom.
