      I was shopping at the DSW in Maple Grove, MN with my son last week. I found a pair of boots I loved on the Clearance Rack that were priced at $69.95. There were stickers with this price on the sole of each boot. When I went to the cashier to checkout, the boots rang up at $155. I pointed out to the cashier that the advertised price on the boots was, in fact, $69.95, and asked her if she could correct the error. She called over a man (young with dark hair and glasses) who I assume was the Manager. His response to me was, “I’m not accusing you, but people switch the tags on merchandise all the time. The boots are $155.” Tag switching????? Seriously? Sounded like he was accusing to me, and to my grown son who was with me. Clearly, DSW is using a Bait and Switch tactic with their customers!! I was very offended, to say the least. This young man could have easily checked the cameras. In the past, any time I have shopped at a retail establishment where the tagged price differed from the actual price, that retailer has ALWAYS honored the price on the item. Mislabeling items is the fault of the retailer, NOT THE CUSTOMER!! I will no longer shop at DSW and am making sure to share tis with ALL my family, friends, co-workers and customers at my place of employment. I am disgusted beyond measure. Shame on you DSW!!

      No stars!! During the holiday season I purchased a AMEX gift card. When I got home and checked the card about an hour later, there were charges to DSW. I immediately contacted the AMEX and they instructed me to contact DSW for a dispute. I called DSW and at first they said they would cancel and reissue my money. Long story short, DSW refused to give my money back and said ANEX has to issue my money, but according to AMEX their contract states the merchant has to. I had another card that this happened to and that merchant gave my money back right away. DSW had misinformed me and gave me the run around for 3 weeks and in the end said I can’t get anything from them. So I’m out of all that money and no one cares as long as it doesn’t happen to them. I used to like DSW but never will I patronize them nor my family and friends.

      Purchased shoes online and paid partly with a gift card and the rest on a credit card. The shoes didn't fit, so I returned them in store. I was told that since I paid partly with a gift card, the whole amount would have to go back onto a gift card. Says in their refund policy that refunds would go back to the original form of payment. Nowhere in their refund policy does it state that if you buy shoes online and return in store and pay with a gfit card and credit card, that the whole amount would have to go back onto a gift card. Shady AF!!!!

      I placed an order which accidentally select to ship to my old address. So once I realized this (on the same day I ordered), I contacted customer service to ask for the address update/cancel my order. They refused and said the order is already under processing so I will have to wait until it shipped, so they can ship me a replacement for sure. I listened to it, when the order is shipped, the customer service says they will definitely ship me a replacement or if the product was not available they will refund me, and all I need to do just wait for the email from their team. Ok I waited. Then a couple of weeks passed, nothing happened! Then I contacted customer service again, they suddenly changed and say they need to investigate on my case as the order value is high and the status show it is delivered! And asked me to wait again 2 weeks for their reply. OK I waited, then again nothing happened. I contacted customer service AGAIN after that, the agent tell me I need to wait for another week, I was angry and asked to talk with a supervisor. The supervisor told me he prioritize my case and I will be contacted within 24 hours. Then ONE MONTH passed, nothing happens. I was busy traveling during that month, and after that just realized those guys still keep my case unsolved and my credit card has already posted for a charge on the product I never received. I contacted the customer service AGAIN, the agent told me the previous supervisor I talked to last time somehow never submitted my case! How ridiculous! Then she helped me submit my case and again PROMISE me I will be replied within 24 hours. At the time I typed, I just closed my customer service chat window with DSW, and it is the 30 hours after the last time I contacted, the agent this time again saying I need to wait 48 hours more for a reply from their investigation team. The worst Customer Service experience I ever had. I start conatct them from October on the day I placed my order and now it is almost year 2023!

      Placed order and was sent wrong shoe size . Reviewed exchange policy which states they start exchange as soon as FedEx confirm package dropped off for return to dsw. That has been done and I followed up with customer service . They told me I have to wait 7-10 days for return to be processed then 3 more days for exchange to be processed, then more time for the shipping. I told them I don’t want item anymore. Response basically too bad since yoh returned it marked exchange you have to wait for the exchange process then you can take it to a physical store to get your refund . That will likely be 3 weeks from now . I quoted their website and provide link. Response : we will pass it on to management . “ If you choose to exchange your item in the online portal, your exchanged item will be shipped to you once DSW has confirmation that your exchange has been dropped off at FedEx.”

      Ordered shoes online and returned two pairs in-store. Why this negative review? Apparently the cashiers are paid solely to stand around and pretend to do their jobs, ie, pretend to scan items. Found out a few weeks later that only one pair was scanned in, and I was still being charged for the other. But of course, I've thrown out the receipt because, silly me assumed they had it under control. Reached out to customer service and received no help other than to find the receipt (HAH) or return to the store and battle it out with their cashiers--with no proof (yay!). Disputed this and now I am being charged AGAIN for the amount of the shoe that I had already returned. No wonder this company has such garbage ratings. Thanks for stealing my money DSW.

      I placed an order online and was told 4-7 days shipping. After 5 days it had yet to even show as being picked up. I called to ask why and was told that the store assigned to filling my order was out of stock. They now have sent the order to yet another store, which in turn starts the 4-7 days all over again. They told me my order "isn't available for expedited shipping". I now will not have the shoes in time for what they were originally ordered for. Call center employees including managers don't speak English either so that's fun. Never will I use or order from this company ever again. You couldn't pay me to. One of the worst CS experiences I have ever had.

      If theres a negative rating lower than zero, thats what i give them. Sent me the wrong shoes and instead of expediting my ordered shoes they refunded me and have me order again and that delayed everything!!!

      There have been three instances where I have returned shoes which I have ordered online. I have never received an email saying they received the shoes back to their warehouse or that I would be receiving a refund. Each time I have had to call to inquire about and request my refund (when I also discover they received the shoes back weeks ago). Each time they promptly refund the amount like, oops, were sorry. This is criminal.

      DSW sent a coupon via mail and offered similar discounts online. The exclusions could not be found on the coupon. After wasting time picking out shoes, the associate at the checkout said the coupon would not work. He then showed a sheet of paper with the word "exclusions" handwritten at the top and dozens of printed brand names on it. I could not find any explanation or company identifier on the paper. I am not sure what could be left in the store that actually qualified for the discount.
