1 starDECEMBER 20, 2024 - Eco Plumbers installed a brand new furnace in my cottage. The previous furnace was dead, the temperature in cottage ranged from 35 degrees to roughly 55 deg. [In other words, bleeping COLD!] So I paid out-of-pocket for a new furnace.
JANUARY 28, 2025- Zoning Inspector came to inspect the new Water Heater installed by Eco Plumbers. Inspector smelled gas; found there was a gas leak coming from the new furnace that Eco Plumbers had installed 12/20/24.
The inspector then called Eco Plumbers &the Fire Dept. to inform them. The local Fire Dept. confirmed a gas leak was coming out of new furnace. I was instructed to turn off the furnace until Eco Plumbers fixed the leak and insured mine and my family’s safety.
I then experienced multiple re-schedules from Eco Plumbers on when they would come back. Eventually, February 3rd, 2025, I received a call from ****- Eco Plumbers Tech. The new part they said would be in the previous week was still not in. **** laid blame on the parts house they do business with.
As of 2/7/25 I’ve gone a week and a half without gas heat. I’ve been using 2 little space heaters for warmth and am convinced my electric bill will be astronomical. The temperature in cottage usually ranges from 35 degrees to roughly 55 deg. [In other words, bleeping COLD!] Eco Plumbers has not made any attempts to offer financial assistance for the electric bill.
Feb. 3rd, after the last phone call with ***e, I called my bank from which I used a bank card to pay Eco Plumbers out-of-pocket: $4671.40. I began dispute process on the furnace payment because I purchased a brand new furnace that I cannot use due to potential death hazard from gas leak.
I ask your help investigate the situation and insure I get a refund for this debacle. I’m cold and cranky, and scared of the gas leak situation.Review fromGARRY M
