I am a Ultimate Wash member and I picked Mikes because they claim to offer liability if your car is damaged. This is a blatant lie and false advertising. I went through there wash and it scratch my car. It even had left over cloth from the machine stuck in a portion of my cars exterior. When I went and filed a claim they stated it is not consistent with car wash damage. HOW CAN YOU CLAIM THAT WHEN THERE IS THREADS IN MY CAR. Where would that come from? I advise anyone and everyone stay away. The fact that they are not a business of there words is sad. I immediately I inspected my car after like I do after EVERY WASH. I got back with them swiftly. I knew it would be to good to be true when they claim they are responsible for damage caused by there machines. All over it Mikes Car Wash they state “ WE ARE RESPONSIBLE” when simply this is not true. Then they have the audacity sending me a letter hoping they continue business with them.Business Response

While getting my car washed at Mikes Cars wash located on **** ********** ***** ******** ** ***** my car was damaged by the machines. The ********* antenna on top of my car was ripped, exposing the circuit board and other electronics which the ******** covered. We filed a claim with the location which then sent the claim to the corporate office. Several weeks later i received a letter stating Mike Cars Wash is not responsible for the damage since no other cars were damaged that day and my car must have been damaged prior to having my car serviced at the location.
upon expecting the ******** we can clearly see the fin was ripped off by the machine at the location.

When looking into this claim we do want to say that we wash hundreds and hundreds of vehicles with these ***** *** cover antennas, and they go through fine. When watching *** ********* vehicle go through the fin cover did not get ripped off but it was blown off in the dryer section of the carwash. This was an indication to us that there was some prior damage to this cover indicating it was loose or not properly attached for it be blown off.
We certainly understand the frustration and because of this we would be willing as a goodwill gesture to work with the customer and split the cost of repairs with *** *******. If the customer can get an estimate on this and fax or e-mail it to me, I will be happy to further work with him on this settlement.
Thank you,

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below. In the statement provided back by Janeese S*******, they state
the fin was blown off during the drying cycle of the wash which indicates that
my car was “damaged” before having it serviced at this location. If my car was
damaged enough prior to my visit that the blower would easily remove my ***** *** then it is pertinent to say that the mechanics used to wash my vehicle would
have done the same, well before my vehicle entered the drying cycle. The fact
is the mechanics before the dryer damaged the fin resulting in the dryer
blowing the fin off.
In addition, the company has not responded on how I can obtain
a refund for the unused books of prepaid car washes I had purchased prior to
this event. I do to feel safe brining my vehicles to this location after this
incident.

On 9/13/22 I went to mikes carwash in ***** ******* **** and went thru the automatic wash. After I got home I noticed a dent in my hood, my headlight is cracked and my front bumper and spoiler is scratched! I went back to the location and filed a claim took pictures and submitted them and I just received a cal from them telling me that they reviewed the camera and says they can see my headlight cover is already cracked but the video is not good or clear enough to tell if there is a big dent in my hood!! I just bought this car from a car lot 5 months ago it was not damaged prior to entering the carwash! She told me if the wash had malfunctioned I’d have a lot more damage to my car then I do!!! She said my only option is to sue them or turn it into my insurance and she refused to let me see the video of my car prior to entering and when I said so the video is good enough to see a crack in the headlight cover but not good enough to see if there is a dent in the hood and she said yes that’s right the video is just too bad to tell if there was or not!! Unbelievable!!!!! I am livid! I want to sue them or whatever I have to do to make sure they pay for my car to be fixed!!! Please help me this isn’t right at all!Business Response

I believe it would be best if we would have an District Manager meet with *** ********. I have tried to send some footage to her but she cannot open it and I am limited on what I can sent her being the footage is so big. It would be best if we just set up a meeting and we can show her the footage of her vehicle prior to entering the carwash and going through the entire wash process.
If *** ******** would like to get back with me I would be happy to set this up with her and our District Manager.
Thank you,

Regards,
******* ******i was able to view the video sent and it’s clear to see my car is not dented prior to entering and dented as leaving the wash. I even broke the video down and sent it back to Ms S******* showing so and requested a meeting with District manager but have not heard back yet. This all just took place this morning. I disagree with her decision and would like to challenge it because my issue has not been resolved yet! I will be watching for an email with the meeting suggestsed to me by Ms S******* and as requested by myself.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory.
I must add that after more thought on the matter and thinking back on the meeting and considering all factors involved I still feel the damage occurred there I believe there is no other explanation but I don’t have the meens to pursue it any further so I just turned it over to my insurance company and am allowing them to handle it.
Best Regards,
