If I could give a zero star review I would! The Connor group recently bought out the apartment complex that I was living in here in Texas. These past three months does he have been here have been terrible!! We pay to live in luxury apartments with gated security however our gate opened permanently so that the entrance and the exit are open 24 seven for anyone to come in. Two days ago I noticed a person that was not part of our complex hiding around in the dark at 5 AM looking through windows. This is very concerning being that we do live in a higher end neighborhood and chose this apartment for security purposes. They are also recently charging us $90 per parking spot so that they can designate specific spots. Our parking lot has been taken over by there landscaping and construction vehicles that are also permanently parked so we cannot even find parking near our apartment there has been a porta potty that has been stationary in a handicap parking spot for two months now. Landscaping trucks dumpsters trash cans and storage units are all in several parking spots. The parking fee was supposed to take place as they completed the designated numbers and slots for the residents living here however they have not even begun to work on the parking lot and yet are still charging us with no parking spots available. They have also added an exponential amount of late fees on our account because there amount of rent was not correct in the app. We paid what we were told to pay, the total amount that was present in the app, and was told at a later date that we did not pay our rent properly and now have over $600 in late fees. We have tried to resolve this issue with them however they have continued on that we did not pay the correct amount even though we paid the total that was presented to us in the app. We do have photos we do have our receipts of everything and we are just warning people to do not move into an apartment complex that is owned by the Connor group.

I’ve been living at Sonterra Blue Apartment, in San Antonio Texas for almost 5 years.
I was living there for three years and a half then moved to Dallas because of my work with the agency for a year and a half, then came back to Sonterra Blue and lived there for another year and a half.
I have 10 years of clean rental history, I lived in about 6 or 7 apartments in San Antonio and Dallas.
Never needed to pay for cleaning but only two times, one was $75 and the other was either $125 or $175 not remember very well, All the other times it was no move-out costs for me and I got my deposit check back. (And this can be proofed)
Even when I left Sonterra Blue for the first time, after I had been living there for three and half years, under the old management, I had Zero move-out cost. (That can be proofed from their system)
That’s only to show you how clean and how well I take care of where I live.
      First Complain:
Cordelia The property manager is very rude, and have a very unprofessional bad attitude.
I have never met anybody with that attitude before!!
And she was clubbing her hands, clicking with her fingers, keep rolling her eyes up from the first word you say, turns her back to you, and doesn’t look to me while she is talking all the time!!!
The successful manager is the one that can convert an unhappy customer to a happy customer. Not to do exactly the opposite!!!
      The second Complain:
I received a move-out bill for $1375. (I will attach it for proof).
Note the apartment is left super clean, Three Ladies Was Cleaning It with the intention not to make me lose more money. (Recall my rental history, and my Zero move out cost from the Same Apparent Complex before)
      The bill is as follows:
$225 Cleaning (It is already cleaned!!)
$800 Carpet Cleaning!!!!!!!!!! (The apartment is one bedroom apparent, having carpet in the master bedroom ONLY.)
So it is just to clean an already cleaned ONE BEDROOM carpet, (Not to replace it with wooden flooring), Just To Clean it is $800

I do not recommend this property, it use to be a very nice place to live but when the new management The Connor Group took ownership it has been the worse place to live. The property manager Cordelia Whitaker is rude, ghetto, she will harass you via email, text and by phone, she will lie on other coworkers by blaming them for pretending to be her (She told me that Karen that works in the office must have pretended to be her one day when calling me about renewing my lease (they raised it from $1215 to $1650 I had been there for two years in very good standing) and that is why she was fired which was a lie). I also messaged and emailed the owners The Connor Group proof of all of this and they NEVER contacted me, not one phone call or message, in my opinion they are just as bad as the property manager! You would think they would want to rectify the problem but apparently they don't! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LIVING THERE!

The Connor Group took over my apartment complex end of 2020 and it's been a nightmare dealing with them. They not only increased rent tremendously but also use coercion tactics to force you to renew your lease under the guise that they are renovating your apartment. They forced tenants to pay $100 for Internet yet lied and said cable was also included. The trash fee is ridiculous. I'm sure RBS is owned by TCG which is a conflict of interest. They had tenants paying for valet trash services before the service even started. There's so much other stuff I can mention about this unethical company it’s unbelievable.
Look at former employees reviews on Glassdoor and you'll notice a pattern. The 1 star reviews are the real ones including on Google. This company is known for giving new tenants $25 gift cards for leaving positive reviews on Google.
If you're a victim of The Connor Group, please report them to the Department of Justice, Housing Authorities, local news, the Attorneys General Office, etc. We're dealing with high level criminals so we need to unmuted ourselves and start a class action lawsuit. They need to be audited and investigated! Do your research on this company and take the 1 star reviews seriously.

Do not EVER move into a TCG property. These are absolutely NOT luxury apartments. The washer and dryers they FORCE you to have are the same brand that my grandparents have. The dishwasher and fridge are rusted, small and broken. The plumbing is terrible and I can't even use the toilets without plunging them. The showers are clogged and one doesn't even work. The scammer managers lie to you as you tour the property and then deny what they promised you. There are 5-10 hidden charges that will increase your rent by hundreds. The app to pay costs 44 dollars to use and has many glitches. The walls are so thin I can hear my neighbors pee. The electricity is not wired correctly but they won't fix it.
Worst place to live in the world! Do yourself a favor and don't move to one of their properties!

I was working remote and the woman Jess lied about everything so i would sign a lease . The place is full of trash, old toys and bicycles. They have a no early termination they don’t disclose. I never even moved in and they won’t change your unit. I asked for pond view and after arriving they said oh the pond is behind the woods . Everything is fake and the management is harassing.
They lied about view even when there about seeing a pond and you honestly can’t and never signed my wife on lease , tried to make me pay more money before moving in and didn’t want to show me apartment . The place was a mess and had many things wrong. I have video and photos to prove the unsanitary conditions and the harassment the staff at Estates of New Albany and the Connor Group Customer Service .
This business provides fake information and photos to get you to rush and sign and has no way to back out . They threaten with collection agency to destroy your credit

      ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!
I have so much to say about the time we’ve spent with the Connor group here in San Antonio! Firstly let’s start with them leasing our apartment out to another family while we were still living here without our knowledge. We received a text message from them saying “sorry to see you go, send us your forwarding address.” We were told that they had marked down that we didn’t want to renew our lease when we never received any notices, signed any papers stating this or even verbally told them that. We in fact were renewing our lease! Secondly, we asked that they do not enter our apartment without us being home. We’ve asked several times and they hung up the phone on me when explaining we were not comfortable with them entering our home when we were not here. We set up in home cameras because we knew they would come. They entered and scared our dog causing her to run away. They did not call, email, or text to notify us in any way that my dog was not home. I happened to check the cameras and noticed she wasn’t there. We found her but she was limping and was injured. Our front gate which is guaranteed there for safety has been wide open for months for anyone to enter at anytime and the management is flat out rude, disrespectful and tries to intimidate residents should you happen to bring up an issue to them. BBB should do some real investigating into this company! STAY AWAY!!!

I’ll start by saying I’m rev TCG’s corp office & not the bldg I live in, because TCG sold it sev mnths ago. This rev is focused on just the time TCG was owner. TCG’s M.O. is to buy decent & livable bldgs, then just run them into the grnd, rape the tenants monetarily in literally every conceivable way. Once TCG has exploited & fleeced the tenants dry & neglected the prop, they turn around & sell it to another unsuspecting mgmt comp clueless the property has had no meaningful maint performed since TCG took over. The fact TCG sold my bldg is great for myself & every other tenant, it also means a neg rev I give the prop now will reflect on new mgmt & not TCG, where it belongs. I don’t even know where to begin with these criminals. Should my honesty be questioned, I want to point out there’s a FB grp w/ over 1.2k members called “Tenants United Against The Connor Group.” TCG are such terrible, lying slumlords, their unfort tenants had to better org themselves against these crooks. I would upload some of the over 70 pics I’ve tkn of the “luxury” apt bldg TCG wildly overcharged me for, but can’t on BBB. TCG has a real prob with trash removal. Hallways reeking of fetid, rotting garbage piled 4 floors high in every grbge shoot in the bldg wks at a time in summer is a “luxury” perk offered at all their “luxury” bldgs. Seems one of the 1st things done after acquiring a prop is immed cut bk on trash removal services to save a buck. Other “luxuries” offered are malfunct fire alarms going off mult times a wk, at all hrs day & night, foul smelling swamps they claim to be pools, underpowered AC units they don’t perf maintenance on, mand walk-thru’s for all tenants 6 mos prior to lease renewal, as an excuse to weasel their way into ur apt to extort & strong-arm u into signing a 35% higher renewal and the “luxury” of a bill after moving out for unspecif “damages” that happen to add up to the deposit amt. Beware of pos reviews, just saying. Sorry for spelling, BBB limits # of words.
