I’ve been trying since February to get my money back from a return I made online. I have called five times and all I can get back from them is “someone will call you in two business days and refund your money”. Nobody ever calls. They tell me the supervisors are “unreachable” and they’ll get back to me in 48 hours. It’s been four months. This is ridiculous.Abercrombie & Fitch

I ordered a dress only to receive a pair of jeans. Returned jeans and never received the dress I ordered!! Contacted customer service 3 times and was told I would receive a refund within 3-5 days..it’s been 2 weeks! I ordered the dress over a month ago and haven’t gotten it or my money back!!!! I had really high hopes for this company-- As a teen I could never have afforded these clothes. Well, fast forward a few years I decided to find some goodies for my teen on sale. However, it's been two months and I have yet to receive my order. A&F has shipped two orders to me now all unsuccessfully delivered. A&F refuses to give me a refund because there is ' active tracking' however the tracking has not changed in two months. As a customer who has paid a large amount of money so my own child could own a few pairs of A&F clothes-- I am completely disgusted with the way the company is handling this.
If you plan to shop A&F I suggest a brick and mortar location vs shipping; as I see multiple bad shipping and customer service reviews on this company.Abercrombie & Fitch

This company has the worst customer support. They deleted my unit of my home after I supplied it . I have it in writing . They state I must contact the shipper. I asked who it was and they stated they did not know. I was on the phone over an hour with no resolution. Beware if there is one issue with this company. I’ve had several unfortunate interactions with abercrombie…
so first, I tried to return a pair of jeans that were not the right length and exchange another pair for a different size. i sent the jeans back to the post office the day after I received them. I waited over a month for the return/exchange and called in a few times. agents kept telling me to be patient and that it will show up soon… about a month and a half later no return and no exchange I called them again and this time got someone on the line who actually investigated instead of just giving me lip service. she was able to locate the items and issued my refund. I didn’t want to exchange the other pair at this point. I stopped shopping there for a while after that.
now, it’s my birthday month and I need a new pair of jeans. I was wondering if they offer any discounts so I contacted customer service. I was informed that there is a birthday discount but they have no idea when the “system” will issue it to me…. and told me to wait until the end of the month (a week passed my birthday) and if I don’t receive it to callback. I think it’s terrible that the agent I called didn’t even say happy birthday and it’s ridiculous that they can’t issue the discount on the spot. never heard of anything like this. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the agent said she had to get “approval“ first so I waited 5 minutes just for her to return and tell me she didn’t receive approval. they offered me 20% off but what I really wanted was to speak to someone. at this point they could offer me the jeans free and I still wouldn’t want them! I just want someone to talk to. I straight up said ” so what you’re saying is your manager doesn’t want to speak to me” and she replied “yes”
I’ve never felt so unheard and undervalued as a customer. They need to do better. The fact that I was refused a supervisor is absurd.*Abercrombie & Fitch

I went to exchange clothes yesterday and was informed by the Abercrombie representative that they would be able to re-order these clothes for me. They asked whether I would want a credit card refund or a store credit--with store credit they would be able to use that gift card in order to re-purchase the exchange sizes. I said store credit was fine. When they went to re-order the clothes, they said the card would not be activated until the next business day so I would have to pay card or cash. I declined and said I would re-order myself when the card activated.
Today, the card is still not active. In fact, when I try to view the card balance, it says the card is invalid. I called customer service and they said they would get back to me in two or so days, and if they never called then I should reach back out to them.
This is ridiculous. I have never heard of a gift card not being activated when the credit was put on the card. At this point, I do not want store credit at all. I want a refund to my credit card. Complete mess.
Also, when I was receiving the "gift card", I was pretty much forced to create a MyAbercrombie account. I would like my account and any information associated with it deleted after the resolution of my complaint.Abercrombie & Fitch

I have retuned clothes to this company several times and was never refunded until I reached out to the company. When I would reach out they would say they did not have my tracking return information even though they provided the return shipping label.Abercrombie & Fitch

I stopped purchasing from the brand as I gained weight and they notoriously did not like "plus size" women. I recently decided to give them a chance again as they seemingly rebranded and became more inclusive. I've seen a lot of midsize women love their jeans.
I ordered the (extremely) overpriced jeans following their size chart and waited for them to arrive. First, I was sent the wrong tracking number. This number told me my jeans were delivered to ohio. A few days later, customer service finally notifies me this was an error and sends me a new tracking number. I get the jeans about a week and a half after ordering.
Their size chart told me I was a size 18, which is 2 sizes larger than I typically wear but I didnt question it. The pair of 90s straight jeans practically fell down, but the flare jeans were just slightly too big. The quality was near exact to jeans I've purchased from Walmart recently so I decided to return them for a refund. Then I find out I have to pay a return fee and pay for shipping and packaging, then wait 3+ weeks for a partial refund. I ultimately decided I'd just exchange them instead to avoid the hassle.
Exchanging wasn't a much better option. I had to pay for the shipping and buy packaging to ship them back in. Only after I dropped them off did I get notified that they wont ship my replacements until they receive my return, despite having confirmation I'd shipped them, and IF my items were still in stock, then I'd get them. This is the only brand I've seen that makes you wait until they get your items to send you the exchange items. There was no mention of what they'd do if my items ended up being out of stock by then.
A few weeks later I'm notified that the first pair has shipped to me, and a few days after that I'm notified the second pair has shipped. Its been a week since those emails and I dont have any tracking information and they still haven't arrived. The quality of the jeans is not worth the price or hassle this brand gives.Abercrombie & Fitch

My daughter returned a Christmas gift on 12/26/22 and was told that the credit would be refunded to the purchaser's credit card. She said that it was a Christmas gift, but the employee told her again that it would be refunded to the purchaser. I was not with her at the time and she did not know any different, so she just accepted that. When I met her, she told me what happened and I told her that she should have received store credit since it was a gift and she had a gift receipt. I went back into the store and questioned the employee. The employee admitted that he made a mistake and did not hit the correct key (or put in the correct code) for a gift return. The store manager, ******, was called and she came to assist. ****** called customer service from the store and explained the situation. She took my contact information and said that someone would call/email me in 2-3 days. No one did.
I called the customer service number on 1/6/23 and spoke to *****. I explained to her the situation and she again took my information and said that someone from the district office would call me back or email in 2-3 days. Again, nothing.
I just called again this morning and spoke to *******. She got approval to transfer me to a manager. I was transferred and after 5 minutes of waiting, I was connected to a voice mailbox requesting me to leave my name/number for a call back within 24 hours.
Ridiculous! I have explained what has happened at least 5 times, and I still have no response. I've had to reach out to the person who gave my daughter the present to watch her credit card statement, not something I should have to do, especially for something that was a GIFT.
Worst customer service. The only helpful person was ******. I would think that after the employee admits that he did not process the return correctly, my daughter would have the store credit that she should have been given in the first place. All we were sent was a 30% off coupon which we WILL NOT be using.Abercrombie & Fitch

Awful experiences with this company. Had to fight for days to get my refund for an order I never received. They made it very difficult for me to get back my money. There were points I didn't feel they would actually give me back my money.Abercrombie & Fitch
