Very happy with the entire process. They did a thorough job of scraping and priming. After the Rhino Shield paint was applied there happened to be a few light spots, the crew came back and took care of them immediately and with no questions asked. House looks great, would recommend it.

Rhino Shield does not follow through with customer service, and is deceptive in advertising. The slogan "Never paint your house again" is a lie. They advertise a 25 year guarantee, but only stand by their slogan for 5 years. The 25 year guarantee is really no different than going down the hardware store and buying paint that is guaranteed 25 years. Rhino Shield will charge you labor to paint after 5 years. There customer service is terrible. We had a problem with a lot of paint peeling after only 4 years. After 3 months of calling, and finally having someone come out to paint they finally completed the project. Now, after 6 years it's the same problem again. We have peeling paint in multiple locations, on multiple different surfaces. We started calling in February, were told to call back in March. Called in March numerous times, and seem to be on the schedule for someone to call us back to schedule to come out to look at our problem in Mid-May. All we want is the paint that is guaranteed for 25 years. I don't know if the paint was put on wrong, it was defective paint, no primer was applied, etc. but something is obviously wrong. We don't want a lot, we just want the minimum guarantee (which is paint alone). But we can't even get that within a acceptable amount of time. It's really frustrating. We paid over $16,000 to have the house painted with a substance to last 25 years. It didn't work out. All that I want to do is get the paint to complete it myself, but can't get on the schedule to even get the paint.Rhino Shield of Cleveland and Northern Ohio

We contracted with RhinoShield after meeting with a representative at the Home Improvement Expo a while back. The office was always reachable and happy to help move the process along. The work crew did a great job and worked diligently to make sure everything was prepped, completed, and cleaned up. Its pricey but seems to be a good product and to not have to paint/stain again for 25 years was the primary selling point. The prep, power wash, caulking, masking was well done. The application with primer and topcoat was applied with a sprayer, though some topcoat coverage on rougher portions of the cedar did not get coverage as well as the smoother areas, but once we pointed those areas out, they hand rolled these areas to improve coverage in these areas. The only issues we had were some language barriers as the crew applying the product only spoke Spanish. The crews work ethic was stellar, but having someone physically on site that could serve as a liaison with language barriers would have made the experience top notch. I appreciate that they also left a 5-gallon mixed bucket of Rhino Shield paint we could use to touch up any areas we needed to. It was half-log siding, so despite their due diligence there may be spots we could touch up as we work on the house and maintain the windows etc. It really looks great and like a new house, if it lasts the 25 years looking like it does now, we will be ecstatic.Rhino Shield of Cleveland and Northern Ohio
