Hi my name is ********* ******* I purchased a 2012 ram form yark Automotive Group on February 12 purchased the truck I was told I had a two year warranty after driving the truck for around six months back and forth worksheets truck stopped running while I was on the interstate abruptly I had thetruck towed to my mechanic and after a thorough inspection it was found that the engine was seized yark Automotive has been mostly unresponsive to help me with this issue my truck had oil in it they did the oil change before this occurred and I know to check my oil periodically with fuel fill up I paid 20741.98dollare for this truck and I am making payment on it.even if I I didn't have a two year warranty on the engine and transmission like they told me I was getting shouldn't their initial inspection have caught this problem? I shouldn't have to continue to make payments on a vehicle that after owning for just six months is useless now.is there anything you can do to help me with this ? I have friends And family that are loaning me their car so I can get back and forth to work, but that won't last to long .I just started a new job and I am doing very well there but I need reliable transportation to get back and forth to work. Yark, at this point has done little to help me .any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

The customer purchased the vehicle as-is and signed all
necessary paperwork acknowledging said purchase. Like all mechanical items,
there is always a chance of break-down or repair that may need to be performed
at any interval in its working life-span, no matter the age of the vehicle. Our
intentions are always to sell good, quality, reliable vehicles. We simply would
not be in business if that is not what we did. The vehicle is outside of the
manufacturer’s warranty and does not qualify for an additional service contract.
The Customer did purchase a maintenance plan and tire and wheel coverage, which
is probably where the confusion came from.  However, these coverages do
      not cover the engine.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      I disagree with their response

first off, many people do purchase a vehicle "as ls"everyday I understand that. But it is the dealers responsibility to do a thorough inspection on the car they bring In. Again, after owning the truck for six months and having the engine  seize after that short time period  is unacceptable. They either missed something was seriously wrong when they took delivery of the truck  or know it when they sold it to me.as far as their""maintenance plan"is concerned I was told that price of3600.00 that both the engine  and transmission  were covered.l would have never, I repeat never paid that much money for something that just covered  tire  rotations and oil changes for a period of two years. 20741.98 is a lot of money, this business  sold me a lemon and it would  seem they are just saying  " tough luck buddy". I don't have the money  to jus go out and buy  another  vehicle- most people  don't ******** time.I need a car to get back and forth  to work with  I don't want  to jeopardize my job because of this purchase form yark and feel they should  offer some type  of workable  solution. This  truck had a serious flaw or defect in a major  part of the truck- the engine  itself. Whether they knew  this or not I don't  know, but they  should be more forthcoming to assist  me as a customer with this issue.

On 01/15/2022, the customer purchased a 2012 Dodge Ram with 178,712 miles AS-IS and signed all
necessary paperwork acknowledging purchasing the truck AS-IS, which means since the vehicle was higher mileage and over 5 years old, anything that happens after the purchase would be the consumers responsibility. All of this was clearly stated in the signed paperwork at the time of purchase. We are always trying to avoid negative experiences with any of our customers, but the consumer does assume some of the risks of having any kind of repair after the purchase of a pre-owned vehicle. The vehicle is outside of the
manufacturer’s warranty and does not qualify for an additional service
contract. The Customer did purchase a maintenance plan and tire and wheel
      coverage, however these
coverages do not cover the engine.
