Replacement sun porch. Was not told they hire local contractors to do the work. Was told that we would have experienced builders from their company. Entire wall was taken out with no supports so sagging occured in the roofline. (Building with a solid new header was discussed with project manager prior ordering materials and we were told it was not needed) Patio Enclosures tried to fix the roofline sag but could not completely do so without a new header. Other problems such as windows and doors not sliding were fixed by Patio Enclosures. Sloppy caulking used everywhere and permanent stains and burn marks on carpeting were not addressed. Pictures attached show completed work except for roofline sag which is hard to capture in a picture.Business Response

We understand that you were not
entirely pleased with the performance of our installation crew, and for that,
we want to extend our sincere apologies. We strive to provide the highest level
of service to our valued customers, and it appears that we fell short of your
expectations on this occasion. Training and feedback mechanisms will be
reinforced to ensure that such concerns do not recur in the future. Our records indicate that our installation
supervisor has been to your home and addressed all your concerns and corrected
any areas of caulk that you were unhappy with. Thank you.

The pictures I sent were after your crew completed the work. Looks pretty much the same. They have been back several times and these pictures were the end result. What about the roof line? That was entirely the result of the crew that was sent. It was not bowed before this project. Carpeting now has caulking and burn marks on it.Customer Answer
Date: 08/20/2024
I am rejecting this response because:
The issues have not been resolved as you can see by the finished product photos. Roofline is still bowed. Carpeting has caulking and burn marks on it. Caulking is very messy. Not acceptable for the $23000.00 we paid for two walls of windows.Business Response
Date: 08/29/2024
Our Installation Supervisor
re-caulked all areas that you were not happy with. The existing header is a
double 2x4 on its side so it will appear to bow/warp. This header is part of
the existing structure, and we do not warrant existing structures per your signed
contract. There is no structural damage, it is cosmetic. We do not use any type of equipment that would
cause burn marks. The IS states there might be caulk along the carpet line as
it was requested we caulk in front of it. We have done everything that we could
to address your concerns. Thank you.
The Great Day Improvements TeamCustomer Answer
Date: 08/30/2024
I am rejecting this response because:
First… we asked the construction manager ( who decides how to build ) about the need for a solid header to avoid bowing of the roofline. . This question was asked of the salesman and the manager who ASSURED us it was not needed. That’s why it is not in the contract. Your assurance was that it was not needed. As for the burn marks , you hire other contractors. How do you know what they used? I do. I was present. The caulking near the floor on the carpet…the carpet is not glued down but can be pulled back out of the way. The contractor was shown that prior to caulking near the floor. I didn’t ask for caulking near the floor. If the flashing would have been the proper length no caulking would have been needed. As with most areas I was unhappy with, if construction would have been correct then caulking wouldn’t have been necessary. Again, not our decision but the people you hired. The manager sent someone else at the end of the project to fix issues. He never saw the end results of that. The work he did was better than the people he sent. I am not asking for a full refund but compensation for lousy workmanship is only fair. And you know it.Initial Complaint

On March 22nd I had a Patio Enclosures salesman at the house. After a good presentation my wife and I decided to make a purchase. We were told the project wouldn’t take long and it was expected to be done before the arrival of our baby in June. After this point in time, communication slowed to a halt. At first I was told the hold up was the CAD drawings and the permit from the city. The salesman and customer rep I was given both told me on multiple occasions they were waiting on the permit office from my city. So about 6 weeks ago I called the permit office only to find out nothing has been pulled for my house.
I called back and confronted them about the lies and was told it was actually a license in the city that was being waited on and was expected in two weeks. I found this strange because the salesman told my wife and I he had sold sunrooms in my neighborhood before. The salesman does not return calls or texts anymore and the only person I can get ahold of asks to call me back in a couple of minutes, which never happens. I have to call days later just for the same answer.
The constant lies, deceit, and deflection of responsibility lead me to believe this company has no intention of doing anything properly and is flirting dangerously with fraud.Business Response

licensing process in *********. We understand the delays have been frustrating,
but please know that we're on track to obtain the necessary license soon and
will secure your permit in ******* **** as quickly as possible. We appreciate
your understanding and are committed to moving your project forward.

We signed the contract on May 24, then heard nothing when I texted the person on Jun. 5 and said he would get me an update. On June 6, I was told the process was taking a little long and should be good now. THen, on June 11, text him again about an issue with Financial. I finally got my welcome packet on June 13. On June 18, I updated the room. Then, on June 27, I asked for another update, but nothing happened. They said they sent the drawing but never got it till I asked for an update. On July 10, I finally got the drawing, but I was so fed up with communication that I wanted to cancel. I was told due to the contract, I owe 19,000 for what? For me to keep poking for updates till someone did something. Also, the person handling my case called and said she was on vacation and didn't know how to set the out-of-office message. She almost cried. She needed a break from work. I went on a ten-day vacation and i only found out when she called me. When I called and talked to many people to get a break on the price, I was told they couldn't do anything about the price due to the contract. They like we are willing to give weekly updates and i'm like i don't trust your company to do what there going to do, i have to keep digging for updates. I under i have to pay something but 19,000 on a deposit that they didn't do anything, and how can i stop the contract during the 3 day period if i would of now communication is this bad.Business Response

We sincerely apologize for your experience not being what we
would hope for. We understand you had some concerns and appreciate
the opportunity to address them when you spoke to our Regional Operations
Manager last Thursday. During the conversation, we clarified that the CAD
drawings were indeed sent to you, though there was some confusion with email
communications. Per your legally binding, signed contract, it states you must
cancel within 3 days of signing to receive a refund. You can either sign the
settlement and we will retain your deposit, or we can move forward with your
project. Please let us know how you wish to proceed. Thank you.

In 2004 my husband and I bought a Patio Enclosure Sunroom added on to our house. We are very happy with it. Our problem is we need some things fixed, like our sliding door will not lock and some of the weather striping on the doors and windows needs to be replaced. I have tried to reach the company to find out if they have someone to do this maintenance and/or if they could recommend someone who would be familiar with their products. Patio Enclosures has a site on line. When I put in my zip code, *****, I get a web site including a 3 different phone numbers, an address for the company in ************, and a mangers name. Yet every number goes to a general answering machine in *********, and I have not gotten a response to my messages. I started leaving messages on July 12. So, on July 23 and 26 I live chatted with someone on the home page. Both times the person responding to my chat, said they would forward my message to the ****************** and they would get right back to me. It is now July 29 and no one has texted, called, or emailed. I understand in 20 years companies change, move, or go out of business. All I want is to know is if the company, located anywhere, has a suggestion for how I can get repairs done to the sunroom we have, that was built by Patio Enclosures. Their web site and the live chat employees indicate that they are still selling patios and sun rooms in *********. I have gotten to their web site by entering patioenclosures.com and then in the location box I put my zip code *****. That goes to a ************************************ *****************Business Response

Contract for 4 Season Room signed 4/19/24. $19,581.46. Down payment of $5874.44 on Visa 4/25. Second payment $5874.44 on Visa 5/20 for factory manufacture. Installation began June 30.The contract stated solid transom. The transom installed was glass which I did not want. The installer did a terrible job. There are gaps in 3 places where air comes in. The trim work is sloppy and pieced. There are holes in the trim drilled by mistake. The downspout was not connected back to the gutter and extra holes were drilled in it. The paint is rubbed off the outside screen. My metal railing on the outside deck is scratched and the wood floor in the room is marred and scratched from him dropping tools. I have contacted the company at ** ****** ******** **** ****** ** ***** ************ and ********* is is supposed to send a supervisor out 7/10/24. I want the correct transom and the work redone - the gaps and trim redone and the downspout replaced and connected to the gutter. I have notified Visa that the final payment of $7832.58 is indispute. **** came out 7/10 to look at the installation job. He connected to downspout to the gutter and caulked the 3 places. It's been 2 weeks and nothing has happened about replacing the glass transom. I called ********* and left a message 7/22 asking for a up date an she has not returned my call.Business Response

Consumer stated the business called on Aug 2nd and would send someone out on Aug 3rd. Business sent same person out who caused damages to the floors and other areas. Would not let them in. Called the business that Monday and advised they would need to send someone different. The business sent out someone on the 10th to take pictures. No other efforts have been made. Called the business again and was told they are working on it. Consumer stated she will be seeking coverage for the damages and work still needs to be done.

Our records show that we confirmed with you that the
original installer would be out on the 3rd to address the touch-ups. These are
minor issues that don't impact the functionality of your room. We visited on
the 10th to document the needed corrections, and our Operations Administrator
informed you that it might take a few weeks for another installer to be
available. We will return ASAP. Thank you.- The Great Day Improvements Team

I am rejecting this response because:The office manager has known from 7/1 that I did not want the glass transom. They did send **** out 7/10. He caulked three holes and reconnected the downspout to the gutter. They sent the same installer out 8/5 and I would not let him do any work because of the original sloppy installation. I called the office and stated I wanted the transom changed from glass to solid as stated in the contract plus other corrections done and a different installer. I called back 8/12 asking when this would be done. My answer was "I'm working on it." She has known since 7/1 that this should be done. This is weeks later and nothing.Initial Complaint

The contract was paid in full on substantial completion in April. An enclosed patio was built and installed. The job was to be completed in early May, but was not completed. They were to come back to seal gaps in the walls, but was done unsatisfactory. Also, they failed to seal another gap in the top of the wall. After a couple weeks of trying to get then to come back out, they finally sent the project manager to the site to do a walk-through, he said he'd be back with the worker to fix the two gaps, but he never showed up and the first gap was completed satisfactory and the second one not even addressed. After this, one of the screens fell out of the window frames when we opened it completely (first time opening it all the way). So I contacted the company to address these issues. I have been calling and emailing but havent had any contact with a human or any response to emails or voice messages. Every time I have had an issue it's taken days to get a response, and now it's weeks with nothing. I've dealt with the branch location in ************** ** * *** ***** **** ** Calling their office multiple times and corporate multiple times over the past 2 weeks, I have not had a response. The company claims that everything they need has to be custom ordered amd they are short staffed and it takes a long time to get back to customers as they are very busy. But prior to signing a contract, they responded no longer than an hour every time I contacted them. I would like them to finish the job or pay a contractor to come repair it if they wish to not come back here.Business Response
