Legalshield is a horrible and very deceptive company, no quick way to cancel. Waited 20 minutes on hold with no answer for their poor customer service. They are very pricey.

1 starCalled to get help with a adoption. Was told with the ***** membership that it would be free and could start on it very next day. That was not true have to be a member for 6 months Called to cancel because it is all I lie I was told then three months later they are still pulling money out of my account this company is a scam. 1 starMy elderly father has been a customer of this company since 2006, payments being billed to his credit card monthly. He has no documentation of a policy or any other written verification that he is a member. Recently, he was notified that his rates were going up by a letter, which I was surprised since I was informed by them, they are a "green company". Green when they want to increase your premiums, but never to communicate with customers otherwise. This prompted him to want to cancel his patronage. When he called to cancel his service with LegalShield, the gentleman was not very kind to him and since he does not have a computer or email, he had to write his request or fax his request. My father said the representative spoke so quickly he could not write it or understand all of the information he was given. I end up faxing the information to end the service for him, after I called to verify what was required. My father seems to think this service was for identity protection which who knows if that is included with what he was offered since he has no written information about their services. I would certainly deter anyone from being a customer of this company, especially if you are elderly or do not have access to a computer. One star is a generous rating.
