1 starJust Another Bait and Switch Scam. LegalShield and I have a contract in which they agree to provide consultations and document reviews along with a list of other services in exchange for pre-paid legal fees. I paid the fees, but when I asked LegalShield for the consultation and document review services, LegalShield's sole Ohio provider law firm, ******* ********* ******, refused to deliver. Instead LegalShield/******* ********* ****** lied to me, stating they did not review contracts between individuals and businesses, and tried to sell me a business contract that I didn't need. I refused to buy the business contract since the documents in question are in my name, not a business name, and I asked to speak with a supervisor. LegalShield/******* ********* ****** refused my request. I sent a letter to LegalShield/******* ********* ******** managing partner explaining the situation and requesting the basic contracted service that I already paid for. Weeks later representatives called me from LegalShield and ******* ********* ****** but they doubled down on the service failure. It's not the first time LegalShield/******* ********* ****** failed to provide the services as promised in our contract. Instead of doing the work themselves as the contract promises, they referred me to another law firm that I also had to pay. Apparently the law firms also pay ******* ********* ****** to receive a client referral. Or LegalShield/******* ********* ****** offered to provide the service for an exorbitant fee without the member discount. Or LegalShield/******* ********* ****** said they could not find an outside law firm to do the contracted work and that they did not want to provide the legal services. LegalShield/******* ********* ******** willful negligence and greed are not isolated incidents but a scam to receive monthly legal fees from individuals (the bait) as well as referral fees from law firms for not providing the legal services LegalShield promises (the switch).Review fromAndrea C

1 starI called legal shield to cancel my account 5 months ago. One month after that call, I was sent an email stating I need to submit this request via email or fax. No one over the phone told me that written correspondence was necessary. They told me my account was canceled. I did attempt to send an email but it kept bouncing back so I asked a friend to email for me and it went through. I received an email stating this request was being processed. They have continued to charge my account for 5 months. I canceled my card to stop legal shield from charging me however apparently *********** allows the old card numbers to be used in subscription services and they told me to contact the company. This is absurd. This is a legal company legally stealing my money!?!?Not only did they not provide the service that they were advertising. NO ONE returned a call, NO ONE emailed me back or sent ANY correspondence with a recommendation on who I should speak with or what I should do concerning the circumstance I originally retained this service for. 1 starTHIS COMPANY IS AWFUL AND THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. Why on earth do you even have a monthly service anymore? You don't help and you don't offer ANY legal advice for the monthly payment. Legal shield has put me in dangerous legal situations and causes so much stress because they can't provide a good service anymore. I am finally putting an end to this madness. It used to be that you could call and actually get peace of mind and some good legal help for $30 bucks a month. Now you're literally paying that for them to treat you like you're an idiot and tell you they can't help you or give you any legal advice... WHY AM I TALKING TO AN ATTORNEY IF YOU CAN'T GIVE ANY LEGAL ADVICE? The monthly service is now just them selling you more services you don't need. I am dealing with such a simple legal matter and the woman I spoke with yesterday treated me like a literal DOG. I have never been treated in such a rude way especially when I am PAYING you to listen to my legal matter. If you can't pay your attorneys enough to be civil on the phone with your customers... SHUT DOWN THE COMPANY. Basic customer service is not hard. The woman I spoke with yesterday should be fired, she just cost you a customer. This company ***** now and it's so dangerous for people who actually need simple legal help. They can't even handle basic questions anymore- why have a service that does NOTHING but scam people into spending more money?!!??? Karma will come for all of you who got greedy and ruined a really good service. I have tried 3-4 times over the past few years to give you guys another shot and it's asinine that you can't help your customers anymore. Your call system doesn't even work anymore- it used to be that you guys actually called when you said you would. Now it's a game to get a hold of anyone. Stop SCAMMING your customers. I want a full refund from the money that has been stolen for ZERO help. Don't even think about coming to this company with a serious legal issue.Review fromDovid L
