    I was billed for $19.99 by the Tulsa World for money I do not owe them. On April 14, 2025 I was told by Nica at the Tulsa World I never had a subscription with them. Consequently I do not owe them any money.

    On the account notes it was stated that he didn't want to be called by us, so I have placed him on our DNC list and also have his numbers removed from our marketing and retention dialers.

    I have tried to contact the Tulsa World to publish something in the local paper on several occasions the last few weeks via phone, email and online chat. No emails have been responded to, online chat says they cant help and to call the number and when I call the number they say to email and they cant help any further. I have a deadline in which my article needs to be published and they are solely responsible for me not being able to. Numbers Ive reached out to: ************.     I talked to Mrs. ***** abut this complaint on the phone. I gave her my cell phone number to contact me in the future about anything. The Tulsa World and Wagoner County **************** do not publish announcements about pageants except for the Miss American pageant. I told her the option that would get an announcement in the paper could have been done through buying a small ad that had the announcement within it. I told her if this happens again, she can contact me and we can work to get an ad into the print edition of the ******* paper.

    Starting on 2/10/25 we have not received our daily newspaper. Today that makes 25 days with no delivery. I have called the delivery number, I have emailed everyday. When I emailed them telling them I was calling the BBB they replied back that they have been hacked and cant verify if I am really a customer. They say they are working on the issue but no resolution. My next door neighbor gets their paper everyday. I dont believe they are doing anything to resolve this problem.

    After filing our complaint on 3/7/25 @ 2:11pm I received a call from **** Caller ID said ********************** @3:17 on 3/7/25. We had an about 10 minute conversation and she assured us our paper would be restarted. It was restarted in 3/13/25 and so far so good. In an email I was told our subscription would be extended till 4/30/25. Today I received a letter wanting us to renew with a start day of 3/28/25. Interesting      
    so I guess our first/original issue is over/solved     Now we may have to see what this renewal date issue does

    We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience. Our company was hacked by a malicious foreign entity. During this cyber security event we lost all our systems including delivery software, phones and communication systems. Unfortunately, Mr. *********** subscription did not resume after his vacation due to outage. We have credited him $40.71 for the missed newspapers. His carrier has now been notified to resume delivery.

    I attempted to cancel my Tulsa Word Subscription online. I went through the steps, answered the questions, reached a certain point and then nothing. No indication that the subscription was complete, no additional information was provided. I received no confirmation of the cancellation.I called the phone number provided and was told that I could not cancel at that time because their computer system was down. When I asked how long the system has been down the agent stated that the system has been down since early February 2025.This is fraud!

    I subscribed to the digital edition of the Tulsa World on 9/23/24 for $1 for a trial period to read an article. I immediately email ************************************** to cancel my subscription at 9/23/24 at 10:54pm as instructed by the website. I received an email on 10/1 and immediately forwarded my 9/23 email to ************************************** on 10/1/24 at 5:16AM to confirm the cancellation I had requested on 9/23 (the same day I signed up for the trial period).I received another "subscriber email" on 12/3/24. I again emailed ************************************** as instructed by their website. I received a bill in the mail in January 2025 and called the number on the bill on 1/31/25. I told the *** that I had requested cancellation THREE times. He showed me as an active subscriber. I said I am NOT a subscriber and to cancel the subscription and refund the bill. I have literally requested cancellation since I signed up. He said he noted my account and requested the cancellation. I received another bill in the mail today, 2/19/25, and called again. Their system was "down" so they couldn't research. I have proof FOUR times that I requested cancellation via their email noted on the website and once call on 1/31/25. Please help me resolve this. I tried calling the main number, the number on the bill and emails and ZERO resolution. I paid $1 for the trial, but I am not paying more. And they are wasting my time. It's a scam!!

    We signed up for a free trial for Tulsa World, and did not cancel, which is our fault. We noticed recently that the cost went from $10/ month to $30/ month for a digital individual membership. They say this is due to inflation... inflation is not at 300%, this is extremely shady business practice. We called for resolution on the account and to be credited for the 300% increase... we were told that they don't review disputes or issues on digital accounts. Please do not use Tulsa World. We were denied speaking to a supervisor as well as being cut off and hung up on by the rep. ********* shady and poor business practices.

    Our account with ********************** recently developed problems. Paper was canceled on Sunday, December 1, 2024. We received email from tech World about the cancellation and wanting to reinstate the paperor 3 months at $2.99 total. It was Sunday so all help lines were closed at business. My wife wanted to read paper so I agreed to the $2.99 for three months. On Monday, December 2, 2024, I was notified that there was a problem with credit card. I tried to contact call centers at Tulsa world. I am a hearing impaired Veteran and could not understand person on phone. I called back and was told that my call would be returned as soon as possible. I never was called back. I was able to talk to a supervisor today after much discussion and was told that I had a balance due from September as well as for December and had to pay it before anything would be done. I disputed that as I have never been notified of any problems and the fact that the Tulsa World cancelled the paper on the day payment was due in December instead of in September she the alleged problem occurred. The World had cancelled the paper, not me. After much discussion, she agreed to give credit for the amount in question and correct the duplicate $2.99 charges and continue the 3 months at $2.99. However, I reviewed my credit card today and discovered that I have still been charged twice in the amount of $2.99 and there are now two temporary authorizations pending in the amount of $2.99 for December 4 and December 5. I also reviewed by credit card payments and the amount in dispute from September was paid and posted on September 6, 2024. I would appreciate it if the Tulsa World provide a refund of the one $2.99 charge and would stop attempting to charge my account with additional charges of $2.99.

    Back in September, customers CC declined for his subscription for which he was paying $34.99 per month.
    We terminated the subscription due to non-payment, but he went online in December to sign up for a promotion even though he had a past due balance. We have waived the past due balance of $61.01 after he paid $11.96 and honored the promotion offer. He is currently paid through 3/02/2025. No refund is due.

    I asked by email to have my subscription cancelled in February. They said it was cancelled but it wasnt because I keep getting billed ***** a month. I emailed circulation again in may when I realized I'm still being charged, with no response. I'm still being billed in July. That's 5 mo at ***** the for a service I cannot use and they won't honor my request to unsubscribe.

    Because of a rate increase that is 4 times the amount of my original subscription ($36.99/mo., up from $10/mo.), I have cancelled by phone. The operator was confrontational, kept changing the price of continuing a subscription, and seemed reluctant to commit to the cancellation. By the end of the call, I had requested cancellation more than 10 times. I have concerns that my card will be charged, as others have reported. I also feel that the paper and public should be warned of poor business practices.

    The consumer stated to BBB that they did not receive their newspaper delivery on Tuesday, 10/3/2023. He called the business and asked the business to fix and the business indicated that the back-issue would be included in the delivery the next day. It was not included. He then did not receive his delivery on Thursday, 10/5 and he was told that the back-issue would be included in the delivery the next day, but it was not included. He stated that when he tries to contact the business, he is only able to speak with a customer service group based overseas and they are difficult to speak with due to limited understanding of English.
