I had three lower teeth pulled, the doctor left so much tooth under the skin/possible, dirty instruments, I was in the *** four days later. My face was blown up, I had pus pockets inside my lower lip. They made no resolution, and I had to wait to get into see a follow up doctor. Now, I pay $500 for dentures, after putting it off for four months, because they lost their denturist. I have painful teeth that need to come out, had to wait three months for that appointment. They took impressions for the denture, then told me it would be six months. I told them I cannot go without bottom teeth, for six months! I work, I have a life, thats ridiculous. I was quoted, on paper, six weeks for the denture to come back. Now they say six months? They suggested going to an outside dentist, spending more money, using the dentures through them, as a back up, when it finally arrives in six months! What kind of business suggests this? What kind of patient care is this? I pay for insurance, for a reason! *** left 5 messages for the patient care manager at the ****** office, and sent through 3 emails. No response. Meanwhile, I am sick from my teeth, I am out the money, and they delayed my appointment during open enrollment, to change dental plans. They are treating me like I am on state assistance. I cannot get any resolution from the ****** Willamette dental office!Business Response

I went to the dentist to have my cleaning for a couple days after my gums were sore I assumed it was from them poking at them getting gum measurements. My mouth continued to get worse and I woke up and my whole mouth was infected. I reached out to the dentist crying my mouth hurt really bad asking for some antibiotics and ************** refused to give me anything. I begged them telling them I am Diabetic and I really need them because the infection was going up into my face and causing my heart to race. he still refused saying there is nothing antibiotics can do over night. I don't know if it was from tools not being cleaned right or what was happening. I ended up having to pay to go to an emergency dentist which put me on antibiotics and the next morning my face was feeling a lot better. I talked to my dentist the next day and she said that with me being diabetic he should have given me some. when I went back to the dentist on October 4, ************* was at the clinic and began to interrupt my conversation with the receptionists and then started yelling at me said he stands by not giving me anything. He continued to badger me in the lobby of the dental office. Super unprofessional. for him to stand in the public lobby yelling at a costumer.Business Response

I received a Small Claims Complaint for an old visit which was paid in full at the time of service, as per the policy at Willamette Dental Group. I paid $600 and a few months later a ***************** said I still owed it. When I called the Dental office they said they could not answer any questions about it because my records had already been sent to collections. It is on my Credit Report. I am fighting it currently. I visited the office to do my yearly cleaning while I was unsure if I may be pregnant. I waited months to get in for this cleaning. My dental office only allows one cleaning per year even though my policy states Im allowed two. When I arrived to have the cleaning completed they refused to complete the cleaning unless I did an **ray. I didnt want the **ray until I confirmed that I wasnt pregnant. Ive never had a cavity in my life and they have my dental records for the last 15 years. They refused me service and made me switch clinics. I did not raise my voice or act in any other in appropriate manner except declining the **ray while I may be pregnant. The dental care here is not following best practices and the staff do not care about the patients health, or safety at all. The claims made by the insurance policy carrier are not consistent with customer experience. The office manager at the clinic makes the decisions for all the dentist and I was told that not even 1 of 100 clients get cleaning 2x a year as offered in policy. With restricted cleaning these types of issues will arise where patients never can get the services they insure for.Business Response

To Whom It May ********* have been in extreme pain due to my wisdom teeth and have been complaining/ documenting this pain for three years. It is negatively affecting my quality of life and ability to do simple tasks like eat or sleep, and yet Willamette Dental (********* Office) has refused to put in referrals for all fourth tooth removals informally because of costs to the office.Recently I had a visit with a surgeon and specialist at Head and Neck Surgery and ******************** and the ******* office to remove one of the four teeth. He claimed that my teeth were in poor condition and showing clear signs of needing removal. I need an advocate or resources to contest ****************** refusal to refer me for all four teeth. They are giving me contradicting reasoning for medical removal that goes completely against the American Dental Associations recommendation, Dr. ********** and the normal standards/ recommendations for other practices across the nation for removal. Please help me get these teeth out. I need to be able to comfortably eat and sleep again. I have no other option. Best,***********************************Business Response

2/9/2023 I went to Willamette Dental yesterdayAnd it was at 7 o'clock in the morning and when I got in the back the nursery man was very polite and nice and then when the dentist doctor came in I felt tension between him I guess he had an issue with me before he even walked in there and I was telling him about my pain in my mouth and they had extracted a tooth on December 8th 2022 andI told him about my pain and what medicines I was taking and then he goes well if you're just here for medicine for pills then you should go to the emergency room and I'm like what I said I'm not here for pills I'm here to see what's wrong with my mouth and umDab there's nothing that emergency room can do for me and he was repeated his self and said if you're here for pills just go to the emergency room so I told him I was like I don't like the tension that you have towards me I said I didn't do anything to you and he was like well let me look in your mouth so he put the mirror thing in my mouth and literally took him 1 second or 2 seconds to look at what was wrong and he tried to say it was another tooth that was in the bath that is decayed That has a little bit of infection but I went in there a couple weeks ago and they told me there was really not that much of a infection that it dont look like that tooth And they said I had a little infection where they pulled the tooth so they gave me antibiotics and I took the antybiotics and I'm still having pain so that's why I came back in well Said that my other tooth needed to be extracted because my insurance does not cover a root canal I think it's called but that is not where it's hurting that it's hurting where I got my tooth pulled on December *********'m making this report because the doctor **** It's very unprofessional and rude and disrespectful I mean I started balling and crying and And I felt like I was worthless and discriminated against the address of is ***********************************************************Business Response

I was a patient at CDA Willamette Dental for 14 years until August 31, 2021 when my insurance changed to ********** Dental. I had a final dental visit in Aug 2021 and was told that no more cavities were present and no work was needed. They clean teeth on a yearly basis so in keeping this schedule, when I was home from college in the summer of ************************************************* ****************** with my new insurance. I brought a copy of my previous dental records and was SHOCKED to hear that I had 21 cavities that needed filled including one needing a root canal. The dentist said these were clearly present ON the x-rays from Willamette. I decided to get a second opinion at a different dentist's office since this seemed extreme. The next dentist, who is now completing the work for me, confirmed this assessment but diagnosed it to be 22 cavities with 2 root canals. This is only 9 months after the visit from Willamette when they told me "no work needed". And my dentist said these caries are clearly present on their x-rays. I have written 3 letters explaining this to them and they are not willing to accept responsibility and have offered me $1200 to help with my co-pays but only if I sign a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). This issue is more than money to me, it is my permanent teeth. Please help me warn others. As a patient I trusted them for 14 years.Business Response

I have had a root canal, oral surgery and been to numerous "specialists" just to be in signifant pain. I want the tooth pulled I was told no. The "specialist" called and was confused why I was sent to their office and said my dentist would call me back. No call back. Went to the pharmacy that night to pick up my prescription and it was never called in. The on-call doc fixed it. The next day I never received a phone call. I called again; they never called back. I called 4-5 times from 12-27-1/3/2023. I had never received a call back. 1/2/2023 I talked to the receptionist about the pain. She said she would call back; send meds to the pharmacy. No call back. I called again 1/3/2023; the call center said no one was answering. About 2 hours passed and no call back so I called again. The call center said no answer and left the office a message. About an hour later the receptionist calls back and says that I cannot be scheduled until January 16th in ****** and they wouldn't prescribe anymore pain meds because it's against the law. I asked her what I was supposed to do, and she said take ibuprofen. I told her that I find it unfair that I asked numerous times to have the tooth removed and they refused (face swollen; pain and can't sleep) Now they treat me like I am a drug addict; make me wait weeks despite being told I would be seen 3 days later. She said would call me back by closing.....again no call back. They constantly make as many appointments as possible to "specialists" that are just regular dentists in order to collect insurance money. They will set up numerous follow up appointments for no reason when they can take care of it at that appointment. I have never been to a dentist that does this. To allow your patients to be in pain and not even call them back is NOT okay. I took 4 days off work last week because they promised an app. on Thursday and the tooth would be pulled that day. They made me lose hundreds of dollars, Numerous apps. gas money and time.Initial Complaint

In June, 2022 I called Willamette Dental ******** to schedule an appointment for pain I was experiencing from my wisdom teeth. This issue has been going on for years with flare *** every few months. The flare up I experienced in June, 2022 was the worst one yet. I ended up having to reschedule the appointment sooner because I was in a lot of pain. Willamette gave a mouthwash and said to follow up in a few weeks if the pain did not stop. A few weeks later the pain was continuing so I scheduled another appointment. Willamette then gave a referral to an oral surgeon for bottom wisdom teeth removal. I explained to Willamette I was experiencing pain in the upper wisdom teeth as well and would like a referral for all wisdom teeth to discuss my options with the surgeon. They had me schedule another appointment which I did. I again explained the pain and was told I could have a referral for all wisdom teeth. I contacted the surgeon and they have not received the referral for all wisdom teeth despite a month passing since my appointment with Willamette. I would like Willamette to send my referral for all four teeth to my oral surgeon.Business Response
