Signed up for Dealer spike to provide me with a website back in October 2024. I was told that it would take 2 months before the site was to go live. I did training to upload inventory to my proposed site that never went live, I requested termination of my contract due to my website was not published nor supplying me with a product that was being billed for! Emails have bent sent and no-one ever followed up with my requests. Therefore I have spent $1064.13 for services that have not been provided. I have made multiple calls and have requested a refund of all moneys paid for services not rendered, unfortunately it appears that no-one in this company can make any decisions without reaching out to a supervisor that can never be reached. I also stated that they are in breach of contract and I would not be making any more payments in the future as the contract would need to monetarily satisfied whether they terminate or continue with services they have not provided!Initial Complaint

I signed up for Dealer Spike ****************** in March 2024. October 2024 I reached out to them for ********************* My bill went from $739 to $2,039, not including the $800-$1,000 ****** Ad budget invoices. In January I tried to reach out to my account *** several times with no success. I called the direct contact and was then informed that was no longer my account ***. ***** several days, I did get a call from my new ***. I told her that the billing amount was not justifiable. My business was not that large to manage a $2500 monthly bill for the traffic I was receiving. She later called me said they would stop services for Feb and March to just my website management so I could see the difference with and without their services. Several days later, I receive an invoice. I emailed her asking why I was getting billed for services. She then informs me, "It looks like they may have run into issues with pausing this to adjust pricing as it is included in the full solution bundle." I sent in a cancellation notice 3/6. My contract ended 3/23. I am being told I am being held to the contract til March 2026.Initial Complaint

We spoke to a representative from this company at a trade show and were led to believe it was a good fit for our business. We struggled for two months to get our website up and running. Once it was finally up, we realized we needed a few things changed to meet our needs. Each phone call or email left us hanging for, at the minimum, 7-10 days. That's 7-10 days of downtime for our business or incorrect information being out there on our website because they took so long to respond. We decided this just wasn't the right fit for us and were willing to pay the remainder of our contract to get our domain name back. Now, we have been trying for 10 days to get someone to release our domain and can not get any response.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. They did finally get my domain name back to me, although it took a full two days of me keeping an assistant on the phone and emails. Their service was terrible. I would like to make sure other small business are aware of how hard they are to work with if you are a not a huge company.

We've been paying $649/mo to Dealer Spike for them to take days to get back to us regarding support for the website. Many issues have not been resolved. Our *** never answers her phone. We reached out to cancel because of their lack of communication and they will not cancel due to yearly contract, except a buyout option. Most websites have monthly performance meetings and a *** who gets to know your dealership. Not this one. The service for this website provider has been the worst. It would of been nice if they would offer an exception for a cancellation without a buyout, but they can't. We will never recommend this website to any dealers.Business Response

I hired dealer spike to design a website for me. There were multiple features that were promised to me during the sales call, and there was a timeline to complete this project. During the design phase multiple very basic mistakes were made and this delayed the timeline. Furthermore, several key features I was promised turned out to not be available. The project was paused, and I communicated several times I was not to be charged for something that didn't work. Responses were inconsistent, and eventually I was charged $550 for the first month anyways. i have given this company roughly two weeks to resolve this issue, and they are giving me the run around. I wish to be refunded the $550, and cancel any future payments.Initial Complaint

Will not fulfill the promises you were sold, you will not be able to edit many things on your website, you will be told they are working on it........ attempted to cancel prior to next billing cycle and no one will call you back, until it is too late and you will be suckered into another year of *************** is garbage! I know what I was looking for, searched using search bar and it would pull up everything but what was looked for, garbage,,,,, however they were working on it.if you are a small business and on limited budget, looking for a company that will work with you and support you without putting you further in the hole .... just don't .. horrible!go to there site, see existing customers of theirs and go to their website. 98% don't even offer online store..... hmmm wonder why? ..... it does not work as you may tell... not happy with this experience and I hope this helps someone with there website choice.Business Response

I had signed up with Dealer Spike to create a ecommerce website for my motorsports shop back in December 2023. I have been having issues with this company since day one. The ********* platform was not working since the beginning and still is not working. I have reached out to my rep ***** for several months with no response. I finally head from ***** who said ***** left the company months ago. She said she would address the issues and get everything resolved. It has been over 2 months and the issue are still there with no response from her or her manager. I have been leaving voice mails for the last several weeks with zero response. I received a message stating the site was cancelled and I own them more money. I have been trying to get this resolved with zero outcome. They have violated the first paragraph of the contract which states they are to provide me with a working site and customer service. This company has committed fraud.Initial Complaint

I have used Dealer Spike's website services for the past 10 years. Over the last 3 years, I have been billed incorrectly multiple times and have spent hours of my own time assisting their billing team with corrections. My company was once set up on autopay for monthly charges, but that had to be stopped, as Dealer Spike automatically charged our card on multiple occasions for incorrect invoices. It is difficult to speak with anyone. The account ***resentative is the gatekeeper and will not let you speak directly to the billing team, as the *** does not have access to invoices or billing information (so they are just in the middle regurgitating what is told to them by billing). I have asked for a billing **** contact on multiple occasions in writing, and my requests are ignored. I have asked twice in writing to cancel service and each time I am told that "someone will be in touch regarding cancellation." It has been two weeks, and no one has reached out to me. This is one of the most unprofessional and fraudulent companies that I have dealt with in 10 years of business.Business Response

Dealer Spike considers this matter closed. The customer was refunded based on the discussed agreement. Their account was closed without holding customer to the contract. The last conversation with the customer was that they were satisfied with the mutually agreed upon resolution.Customer Answer

In October the company I work for contracted Dealer Spike to create a new web platform for our marine dealership. We signed a contract for 12 months and work started. We projected a go live date Of January 1st so we could be up and running before our busy boat show season. It was expressed many times that these boat shows are where we make our money for the year. On Feb 4th we attended an international boatshow and our website was not yet live. The development rep would take over 2 weeks to get back to us on simple questions. On Feb 15th our website was pushed live without any of the services we ordered and had been paying for since october. Fast forward to March 15th, 1 month later. We still had not recieved any of the additional services we had now paid for, for 6 months. On March 25th we decided to flip our website back to our old provider as we had experience a massive decrease in sales leads, in our prime sales time. The complaint is during the 6 months we have been under contract with Dealer Spike they have failed to provide the services we paid for on a monthly basis. They have not responded in a timely manner to any and all questions, I have asked them to provide us the criteria to cancel our account, they have yet to respond 10 days later and 2 email requests for confirmation of receipt. We are currently paying monthly for services that have not been rendered and see no sign of being rendered. We are starting to wonder whether this is all just an elaborate scam.Business Response

Contract was signed 3/23/2017 Signed contract states - (Client Initial) The Initial term shall be for 12 ___ months commencing on the date of activation or 2 months after signing the contract which ever comes first with a total monthly payment of $399 -I am told my contract runs from August to July. Now correct me if I am wrong but that is not what their contract states. Also stated in the signed contract is - "3. Pricing and Payment Terms: Client shall pay the fees provided in any duly executed addenda hereto. Set-up fees are payable in advance directly to Dealer Spike, LLC. Thereafter, Client is aware that they will make payments directly or via credit card to Dealer Spike LLC. Client agrees to provide all of the necessary information to receive credit approval. All additional custom work that is outside of the Agreement between the Client and Dealer Spike, LLC. will be billed at $95 per hour. Client agrees to pay Dealer Spike, LLC for all services rendered. This Agreement automatically renews at the end of the term unless cancellation letter is mailed to Dealer Spike within 130 days of contract end. This contact is subject to a 5% annual increase."In 2017 the total monthly payment was $399 a month. I have gone back through the last 2 years and the 5% that is stated in the contract has not been the case. have only gone back to Aug. 2021 to Dec. 2023, but please see below:8/2021 to 7/2022 $585.02 a month 8/22022 to 7/2023 $672.78 a month 8/2023 to 10/2023 $733.33 a month 11/2023 & 12/2023. $733.33 a month plus taxes total $750.62 a month Now correct me if I a wrong but the math does not add up. $585.02 + 5% = $614.27 monthly $614.27 + 5% = $644.98 monthly So from 8/2022 to 7/2023 I was over charged $58.51 monthly x 12 =$702.12 8/2023 to 12/2023 I was over charges $88.55 monthly x 5 = $639.98 (plus the overcharged tax for 11/23 & 12/23)I have sent all of this info via email and I am just getting passed aroundCustomer Answer

I have attached screenshots of the email that I sent to dealer spike and also their response. You will see that they know they were wrong in the price increase because they are crediting the difference. Now I only went back to Aug. 2021 and figured the wrongly billed amount up. I am contacting my card company to get information back to 2017.
There are still other issues that they did not address, contract was signed in March, but somehow starts in Aug. Well according to their contract that I signed it states "commencing on the date of activation or 2 months after signing the contract which ever comes first."
I think we all learned about the Months of the Year in school. Not sure which on they went to.
This company is ripping people and companies off like crazy. I might be going after them in the end for refunded overcharges.

I am rejecting this response because: DealerSpike has agreed with me that they billed more than the yearly % increase that was stated in their contract. I only provided proof back 2 years. They have credited towards my account. They agree that their billing practices are unethical and yet they are still saying I owe money. This contract was singed in 2017. I will go back that far - calculate all up and send to them. Then I will Be expecting money sent to me that they owe.
Sincerely,
