Very stupid way of managing a business. I put in an order less than 10 minutes ago for the wrong colored boots. I message customer service to update the color, but lo and behold they cannot. They cannot update or cancel the order. Absolutely IMPOSSIBLE task for such a reputable brand. They told me I have to wait for the wrong boots to arrive, return it, then reorder. Nevermind that the order hasn't been packaged and mailed out. Columbia will CHOOSE to send you the wrong item AND charge you a returning fee of 6$. Wasting everyone's time. No logic in the process. Must be run be con artists. They want to squeeze every little dollar out of you. I will no longer be shopping with such a business. The owner should be ashamed and embarrassed.Columbia Sportswear Company

The customer service is terrible. I ordered a jacket on September 27, was notified it shipped on September 28 and still have not received the package. I have called 3 times and been told they are going to resolve this but it has to go through the missing package investigation team. I was told the package was put on a *** truck in error and they had to try and track it down. When I asked why I couldn't have a refund since they made the mistake I was told they can't do that until they find out where the package is - otherwise it could show up and I would get a free item. I was also promised I'd be updated every 3 business days and after the 4th business day, I had to call them again. I will never order from them again and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Wish there was a zero star!I never received the item I purchased when I reached out to them they said they havent do an investigation! Its now been 4 weeks and I still have not received the item or my refund, so I suppose the investigation is still going on. Way to believe your customers! I will never purchase anything from them again and you shouldnt either, wish I had read the reviews before I made my purchase. 1 starHorrible customer service!! I ordered a coat for my granddaughter. The shipping company claimed they delivered the package. I was home at the time they claimed they delivered. As soon as I got notification I checked all locations around my homenothing. Columbia gave me the run around for two weeks then informed me that the delivery company assured them that the coat was delivered and that there was nothing more they could do. No proof was ever provided, even though I asked for it. SHAMEFUL! A one star rating is too good.Review fromPaul C

I would give zero if I could. Columbia doesnt care about customers. I purchased hiking shoes and the upper started to fray and split after only 2 months of mild use. Guess what. If you take them back for replacement, they send them to some department and it takes 4-6 weeks to be processed. I dont own a lot of shoes, so I am without hiking shoes for the rest of the summer. Sadly, Columbia thinks making a customer wait 4-6 weeks is normal. It is not normal. It is unacceptable. Columbias smugness when talking to customers is palpable. Unless you are ************************* I recommend buying shoes elsewhere.Columbia Sportswear Company

1 starIt really is a NO star rating for customer service. Before June 28th I've seen an advertisement for a sportsvest that I had liked for the price of $29.98 and when I clicked on it it showed the price for $54.99. I called Columbia Sportswear **************** and they mentioned if I could send them the advertisement that they might look at providing me the item for the sale price. I sent them several pictures through email with the date of the advertisement post through ********* I also sent them the link this took almost an hour for me to even speak with a supervisor who they wouldn't connect me to one when requested and when asked to get the supervisors name who said no to the proof of advertisement that they had requested they gave a made up name when I spoke with him. His reply email was under another name mentioning I'm sorry to have been disconnected. I know it wasn't my phoneline because I stayed on the phone with them for almost over an hour without it disconnecting. I then called headquarters and told them about the poor customer service I received and how unprofessional they handled the situation. He denied that Columbia Sportswear does not advertise through any social media outlet. Instead, I seen another item, I liked I decided to see if it was really Columbia Sportswear so I decided to order an item for the sale price and what do you know the sale item was able to process and I was able to receive the item for the sale price. I'm disappointed that as a Columbia Sportswear customer I was treated very unprofessionally by their customer service staff for an online item that was claimed to be a made up advertisement and that Columbia Sportswear doesn't advertise through social media. The advertisement still exists, days later, for the same item. Since then I've sent an email to corporate that includes the sale advertised item which I wasn't granted the item and I haven't heard back from them when I was told a certain time to receive a reply back.Review fromEddie S

1 starI ordered 3 shirts one day prior to receiving a notice of a 60% off announced sale. When I called about getting the sale ******************** at Columbia **************** told me I ordered were on sale but that I would have to return the full price shirts and reorder the sale price shirts. Less than 24 hours later, I called to get return information and to reorder the sale price shirts, ******** at Columbia customer service informed me that the shirts were no longer on sale and only available at full price.I believe their "sale" policy constitutes deliberately misleading advertising and will avoid doing business with Columbia Sportswear Company based on my perception of their business practices.Review fromJanis H

1 starIf I could give a negative number , I would. I purchased a shirt and after I had worn it 3 times, the stitching on the sleeve unraveled completely. I took it back to a Columbia store and just wanted to exchange it. Not so much. Wanted to charge me more to exchange the same shirt. Im a rewards customer and they couldnt find my account. This was the ******,******* outlet store. Wanted to know if the tags were still on it. Of course not, it fell apart while I was wearing it. First told me it could be looked up in the computer then wanted a receipt. Website says guaranteed for life if problem due to workmanship. ******* didnt know what she was doing and asked manager which amount to allow me for an exchange and he said, just pick one. I called customer service and was told to look up the warranty information on the website and call them the next day. Bottom line, this company makes it so difficult to get service, they hope youll give up. Also, dont EVER throw out your receipt from Columbia Sportswear or they wont begin to try to help you. Website says you can send item back ( you pay postage) and in FOUR weeks, they will let you know if they will cover the defective item. Sorry customer service!!!
