      I was charged double for this month. My initial payment didn't display within my account, and ********************** sent me a reminder to pay my bill after I had already made the payment. Therefore, I made a second payment. Now I've been charged twice, and Aqua informs me that I can't receive a refund before the next bill is due.

      Disconnected my water because the previous tenants didnt pay their bills. When confronted with the fact I was new tenant I was told that they would handle the issue by the billing and accounts department. From there I was contacted by a technician and told that because their system wouldnt register that I had an account I had to pay the over due amount for the previous tenants. EVEN THOUGH their own building and accounts headquarters division said I was good to go.

      Not only is the water quality questionable, but their customer service is also awful! From the customer service **** who answer the phone to the technicians that come out to service if there is an issue. Attitude central! They drain the lines due to how cloudy the water is. This was initially done by the fire hydrant on my property. Then they installed a valve, they tore up my yard and my sprinkler system and I was not notified, they informed my child who is a minor that they would be back instead of knocking on the door. Months later, which leads to today, the value was having issues and started leaking water in two spots. I called it in as an emergency, they showed up the next day about 12:30 pm. I asked the representative ******* what happened? He said they would have someone on the way, he had an attitude and told me that he didn't have to tell me. I informed him that previously, they tore up my yard and damaged my sprinkler system. He got defensive and told me he didn't care. I ended the conversation and will be calling Aqua to file a complaint against the field supervisor or field **** whatever his title is.

      Aqua is the worse company on earth . I paid my bill every month. They came back said I owed ****** because they failed to charge me a usage fee. They ever sent me a bill saying I owed the ****** It was a surprise charge after I called to find out why I had not received my recent bill. Aqua is full of it. The service is poor, water pressure is terrible, I hate this company and wish they had competition. They think they can do business any kind of way because we have no other options. This company is ridiculous. Something needs to be done.

      They are extremely rude, disrespectful & condescending. They post threatening notices on the door (violating privacy) instead of calling the customer. The whole time the bill is on autopay & up to date. Honestly, if you have another choice on a water company, go with the other option!!

      Terrible customer service. No communication of water issues or boil bans until well after they have taken effect. Water is either over chlorinated to the point you are nauseous taking a shower or so un-clean that it is a brown/yellow color and leaves sediment everywhere. Refuses to do anything to improve.

      Issue with water main break on Winter/******** intersection in ******** Il. Tried to report water main break on emergency number...took 3 hours to finally contact someone. Water has been dripping out of faucet for 10 hours at the time of this compliant. After 6 calls to Aqua without any answers to when problem would be resolved or if we are under a boil order, we called at 6:00 PM & asked again. After explaining our frustration to a customer service representative we were told to have a nice day & hung up on.

      We had a leak on our property in April. The water ran over the course of two billing cycles (using roughly a month of water per day!) Aqua failed to provide any information that a leak was happening. We didn't receive any communication that we were using a month's worth of water per day even though we were signed up for electronic communications and billing. We did hear about our leak from our sewer company, two and a half weeks after we should have received a bill and notification of high usage from Aqua. We found the problem and took action immediately. It took us three weeks to contact the right person at Aqua in an attempt to get some relief for the water usage that we incurred due to their lack of communication. We have no problem paying for our mistake, but we find it inconceivable that we should be forced to pay for their mistake. It took four calls over three weeks before we were finally given a return call by a "senior" who could help us. Finally we were told that there was nothing they could do for us. This is a complete failure of communication on their behalf and a complete disregard for their customers.

      Aqua, ****************** Price gouging at its finest. We moved into our home in 2003 and our water bill averaged $30/monthly. Our bill for 2024 now averages $85/monthly. We just received a notice that our bill will be going up another $19/month for a total of $105 total, for just water!! I could understand a reasonable increase over the years, but this is pure corporate greed. Water is a basic human right, leave it to another greedy corporation to place profit above all. Im hoping that a lawsuit/lawsuits will change things. I dont see any other way to keep them from raising their prices.

      **Selecting one start because its the only way I can leave a review.** My neighborhood has a well owned and operated by Aqua. In the two years since we have lived in our home, our water well has malfunctioned and left us without water for days multiple times. They never explain why and blame drought conditions. Just recently we lost water, there is no drought currently and we have lost water twice in the last two weeks. No where else around us seems to deal with these issues but they dont have Aqua!! This company has ZERO accountability to its customers.
