The location for pickup is listed on the email invoice a customer receives after they win a bid. Customers are also always free reference our website and read our terms and conditions on our website if they have any questions as well. If a customer is unsure about anything they are free to reach out to customer service either by phone, email, or live chat. Our customer service representatives are available 10am-6pm Monday through Friday. Filing a complaint or a bad review on here, instead of reaching out to us first, rarely achieves the desired results for the customer.Review fromRegis R

Almost every item is damaged, incomplete and missing parts. Items listed as "Open Box" are often heavily used and broken. The staff appears to have to deal with alot of angry customers as Mac Bid staff members are consistently short tempered. The tend to shout out robotic commands, rules, and instructions when confronted with any kind of customer inquiry. There is no doubt, eventually Mac Bid will find itself in multple class action civil suits. The advertised items, while photographed are photographed in such a manner that defects and missing or broken pieces are not shown in the pictures. If you are tempted to use Mac Bid accept that you are going to be seriously disappointed with your purchases.M@C Discount

When customers register to *********** they are agreeing to abide by our terms and conditions. We are an auction liquidator that receives the items we sell as returned or overstock from Big Box retailers. What the customer is failing to mention here is all of our auctions start at $1 and they go up from there based on what people think an item is worth to them. This customer also has failed to mention how many items he has saved money on and we do offer customer inspections for our item as well as the **************** program that allows a return on applicable items 5 business days form the date of pickup. Auction liquidation isn't always for everyone, but it can be beneficial to many people looking to save some money.Review fromTimothy P

My 4 year old made a bid and I "won" said bid. I contacted them by email and a guy named Ben responded and said if the bidder was 2 or 100 I was responsible for the payment of the product. I filed a dispute with my bank and had to get another card. Which was awesome because I didn't have money for 2 weeks. So, now I'm out the money and the item. Which if they are going to charge me I at least want what my 4 year old bought. Just filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau since I can't get anything done with the company. Stay away and delete the app or whateverM@C Discount

When a customer registers to *********** they are agreeing to our terms and conditions. I will reference this specific policy form our terms and conditions on our website. 2.4. Bidding - By placing a *** in an auction, you are extending an irrevocable offer to purchase the items at the price set forth in the ***. Once entered, a *** may not be retracted. This can be referenced at https://www.mac.***/conditions-of-sale.Customers do have options if available for the item. They can lower their max *** to the lowest amount possible and wait to see if they are out*** or they can purchase the **************** for the item to return it if available. It is, unfortunately, not the responsibility of Mac Discount to protect a person's phone. With that being said, this customer did have a couple possible ways out. We do try to help as best we can while a***ing by our terms and conditions.Review fromGary H

I am not 100% sure on what this customer is referring to in regards to the ***************** I will reference our **************** and removing a bid policies from our terms and conditions at https://www.mac.bid/conditions-of-sale.2.4. Bidding - By placing a bid in an auction, you are extending an irrevocable offer to purchase the items at the price set forth in the bid. Once entered, a bid may not be retracted.2.16. **************** - A User may elect to purchase **************** for any individual item in the auction. This purchase is elected at the time the bid is placed in the auction. The cost varies based on the product characteristics. The **************** product allows the User to return the Item, for which the product was purchased, within 5 Business Days following the date the Item was picked up. This return is treated as a **************** return, and a reason is not required to process the refund. The **************** fee will not be refunded.2.16.1 Abandoned Items - Items with "****************" applied that are not picked up and abandoned will be automatically refunded. The **************** fee will not be refunded. As once can clearly see **************** is offered and once a bid is placed it cannot be retracted. This does not reflect the company in a fair light, because this customer agreed to these terms and conditions when he registered to ***********. We are always here to help the best we can within the guidelines of our company policy. Putting a bad review on another website rarely achieves the desired result.Review fromLucy S

DO NOT BUY FROM M@CBid, They misrepresent items. They give you products that don't match the photos. The stuff is garbage, and they are becoming rich taking advantage of people. I have purchased several things from them, getting suckered in by the nice photos and dirt cheap prices. I bought a mirror advertised as 28x36 when I picked it up it was actually 20 x 28. They should invest in a tape measure and at least make sure the box is reasonably close to the correct size. I could tell immediately that the mirror was no where near the size advertised. I bought "open boxed" sheets that were soaked in urine. I can't even explain how disgusting that was... I bought a French door that was pictured as still in the box. When I picked it up, it was not in a box and was in about 20 pieces. None of the "pieces" were shown in the photo. There is NO WAY that the person listing the door didn't see that it was in pieces and it should have been marked "Damaged". They say you can preview the items, but I have tried and it is near impossible. No one will help you find stuff and the aisles are not lettered or numbered. I walked up and down every aisle twice, looking for a couch I was bidding on and it was no where to be found. It must have been in the section marked "employees only". Boxes are tapped shut and unless you rip the tape and open the box, you can not inspect what is inside. The customer service link on their website doesn't work and the employees just stand there not knowing what to do when you ask them for help,M@C Discount

It is unfortunate someone would come to a website to air out their grievances when customer service is available between ******** Monday through Friday. This customer is also failing to mention the amount of money she has saved on the multiple items she has won. When registering to *********** customers agree to our terms and conditions including Open Box condition code label policy.2.10.2 Open Box Open Box items were sold by a retailer, and potentially used before being returned by the customer. Open Box items may be damaged or have an opened box with missing pieces, so unless the condition of a specific item is explicitly stated, User should not make any assumptions about it other than that it may be ripped, scratched, non-functional or otherwise damaged. All Open Box items are sold AS/IS. M@C makes all items available for inspection prior to bidding, it is the responsibility of the User to inspect all items before placing a bid on the Site.I would also ask if the customer asked for help in tracking down items for inspection? Our employees are always more than willing to help if asked and we do provide the necessary tools to inspect items at each warehouse. We also do provide **************** for items to return them within 5 business days. Even if a customer fails to get the Assurance, if they believe an item is not congruent to the listing, they can bring that item in for a Manager Review. From there a manager would decide if a return is warranted. As once can see there was multiple options available to this customer.Review fromJon M

We have purchased many items from this company in the last year since their Butler location opened and honestly this place is complete dump. I get that this is a part of their "low overhead" business model but the Butler location often smelled incredibly bad. Also the staff that "work" there are incredibly unhelpful when you are having difficulty finding your items. The final straw was when we missed the pickup date and we tried to contact them to let them know we were not abandoning the items we won in auction to see if there was any way to not lose them. We emailed in the evening and My wife went to the location as soon as it opened and spoke with a manager there who said he would like to help but the items were already scanned in so they had been re-listed. if you search the complaints this seems to be their go to response when this happens. I know the response will be " These are the terms of the auction you agreed too" but to not have any ability to make an exception seems like a poor business practice to me. Being completely unwilling to make an exception to the "terms" seems like part of their business model is to hope people can't make the pickup and so the company can keep people's money. I could see if we had let a day go by but our items were left in their location for about 10 hours. This seems like the easy answer would be to make an exception and keep the customer happy but it seems like this business would rather play a gotcha game with people and keep their money. Lesson learned, I will never do business with this company again. Hope the $100 was worth it.M@C Discount

Being we are an auction liquidator we turn items over for auctions rather quickly. We do offer holds and transfers, if transferrable, on items for a fee if someone cannot make it within the three business days to pick up their items. We also offer PorchShip, our partner, that will deliver items won for a fee and to applicable zip codes. Any other family members or friends can also pick up an item for someone as well. Although the customer is correct that abandonment policy is in out terms and conditions, what they failed to mention is they had multiple options available to them to try and avoid this situation. Sometimes, unfortunately, auction liquidation isn't for everyone.Review fromStacey D

They sell for 80% off of full price because you are only getting 20% of what is pictured. I bought what was advertised as a sprinkler on a tri-pod today. The sprinkler is NOT in the box!!! I also bought what was advertised as six totes with lids... there was only one lid in the box!!! What they sell is broken stuff and/or AMAZON returns that people have kept parts out of. They list the items as "open box." They will not refund you or allow you to return the merchandise.M@C Discount

As an auction liquidator, we get our items returned from Big Box retailers for a multitude of reasons. When customers register to bid they are agreeing to our terms and conditions. I will attach our Open Box policy for reference:2.10.2 Open Box Open Box items were sold by a retailer, and potentially used before being returned by the customer. Open Box items may be damaged or have an opened box with missing pieces, so unless the condition of a specific item is explicitly stated, User should not make any assumptions about it other than that it may be ripped, scratched, non-functional or otherwise damaged. All Open Box items are sold AS/IS. M@C makes all items available for inspection prior to bidding, it is the responsibility of the User to inspect all items before placing a bid on the Site. What this customer is failing to mention is we do allow inspections on items before anyone places and bid and customers can add **************** to items which would guarantee a return 5 business days from the date of pickup. As one can see could have had a couple of options available. Auction liquidations, understandably, isn't for everyone.Review fromAnthony V

After not receiving an email about the confrontation of called and emailed customer support about this issue. I was then sent multiple lengthy emails that where very condescending and lecturing me. I was never rude in my emails, I just want to know why I never revived an email, I was told that it was possible that I never received one, and the most of their emails go to spam. I have to assume this is by design. unfortunately I will not be using this service again,M@C Discount

It's not surprising that there are a handful of disinfranchised individuals who bid and won items that they later found to have missing parts or be defective. But at the same time, they didn't bother to read the disclaimers or personally inspect the item they were bidding on. I think M@C's is a blessing for those looking for significant savings on generally new merchandise, especially in the current economic climate. It's really not fair that the overall rating is one star which is based on a rather small percentage of disgruntled buyers who clearly neglected to do a little research before bidding. Needless to say, there are thousands of devoted repeat bidders/customers at the various locations who likely won't purchase select merchandise from anywhere else. Of course there are items that are sold as used, defective, or missing parts because there are those who still find value in new, but slightly damaged or gently used items that they can buy cheap and repair for themselves. But also, the vast majority of listed items are genuinely brand new, and it's rare that any potential defect issues are not listed by the team of inspectors who diligently process numerous items every day. Just do a little research before you bid, and you'll likely never feel the need to wait for box store "sales" to avoid paying full retail again!M@C Discount

I purchased what I thought was a Ez Up 10x10 Canopy from Cowpens location. The picture showed the entire canopy, including the frame. There was absolutely no mention of any pieces missing, even though it stated "Open Box". I went back to speak with someone after I looked and all that was in the box was the canopy. I was told that the owner was there the week before and had changed things. I said there was a notation on items if there was something missing. He said they didn't have to state anything. This is deceiving, to say the least. They could care less. Obviously this location is not honest.M@C Discount

As an auction liquidator we receive our items returned from multiple Bog Box retailers. With that being said, we are not like a typical big box retailer. We liquidate the items that have been returned from the original retailer and they could have been returned for any reason. With this in mind we do state this in our conditions of sale that every customer agrees to when they register to bid. I will attach the Open Box policy for reference:2.10.2 Open Box Open Box items were sold by a retailer, and potentially used before being returned by the customer. What the customer fails to mention here is that they could have inspected the item before they placed their bid or added the **************** to the item. The Assurance gives a customer 5 business days from the date of pickup to return the item for any reason. This has always been policy and we never deceive anyone. Sometimes, unfortunately, regular retail is the best route to go for some people.
