I hired Yeureka Home Remodeling LLC in part because the service was offered through *** which I thought I could Trust. *** touted Their Primary Goal is Satisfaction, Survey upon Completion, Certified Contractors, (sub-contractors)? In this case must not have been certified), Lead man would be wearing an ID Badge, and Monitoring Start to Finish. None of this happened. As a matter of fact I could not converse with any workers I tried to because they couldnt understand English. YHR was the highest bid for the job but I hired them anyway thinking they would be the most professional of those who submitted bids. The Flashing around the Chimneys was to be painted to match the roof color and sealed with chalk and sealant. Sub-Contractor never used the paint or sealant but toke it with them when they left. The gutters were left mis aligned and not attached to the down spouts leading to nowhere. Crown Molding was torn off and discarded that was the trim at the peaks. Molding around the Dormer was torn off and discarded as well as the dormer frame knock out protruding forward.1/14/2022 I was under the impression that *** had hired a local contractor ************************* to fix the issues but the original contractor showed up on 1/28/2022. They did do some gutter realignment and replace most of the Crown molding but not all. Never touched the Dormers or painted the flashing.4/7/2022 YHR offered me $550 to have the work done myself. 5/23 I was able to get a local handyman to finally come out and estimate the damage at $800. I tried contracting several contractors but they stated that job was too small or didnt want to be involved in someone elses mess up, so I inform ***************** at YHR. 6/16/2022 I finally heard back that *** was willing to pay the $800. Well by June all the handyman and contractors were booked up for the season. It took me until October to finally get a contractor to come out and give me a Proposal for $760. After several emails telling me the check should have been issued and mail the last of which was 1/5/2023 still no check. Now I contracted this job out to YHR. It should have been in no way my responsibility to find somebody to repair these damages. This should have been resolve immediately by them hiring another contractor. They got the Quote from ************************* and I suspect it was a lot higher than any other offers laid out otherwise they would have just hired him do the work.If *** have Certified them as a contractor they should pull that certification.I have Pictures and all correspondences with *** I can share.

On 4/10 we entered into contract for 12 windows to be replaced. The amount was for $25,720.00. we gave a 5,720.00 deposit that day. and would be financing the rest with their finance company. After taking the deposit I was told that the windows needed to be remeasured before they could be ordered. We had an appointment on 4/13 at 9AM to measure the windows so they could be ordered. at 10:30 when I called to find out why no one showed up they told me that the "measuring Tech" was on an instal. and that it would need to be rescheduled. it was then moved to 4/20 at 9AM. again they no called no showed on the job. They told me that there was a dental emergency and they wouldn't be able to come until late afternoon when i work. I let them know multiple times over the past 36 hours that I no longer wish to move forward with the project due to the unprofessional nature of their business. their contract explicitly states that i would only be responsible to pay contractor expenses for percurrent of goods. no goods were ordered or installed no measuring was done. when i have repeatedly asked for my money back they refuse to answer. they have ignored multiple voice mails, texts, and phone calls. they will call to reschedule the measurements, but when I have asked about my refund they say, " I don't handle that."

The customer is correct in that we were unable to settle on a time for their window inspection. Our office is two hours away from the customer's property, and due to scheduling conflicts, we were not able to arrive in a timely manner. We have since agreed to cancel the project.

I ordered the windows on 2/5/2023 & have not received them yet. They will not return my calls. I would like my windows.

    Business Response

    Date: 05/18/2023

Prior to the customer's complaint we had already contact the customer to let them know that since they live in a prefabricated (aka trailer) home, the dimension of our replacement window is not ideal for the wall thickness of their structure. We contacted them to recommend an alternative product. After a few weeks, the customer declined the alternative product and cancelled the order.

I ordered 11 windows on November 23 2021. 10 were installed correctly 1 was the wrong measurement. I was asked to sign off on the 10 so they could open a new order number for the incorrect window. I have over 60 emails between me and the company trying to get the window I am owed since that date. I have reached my limit of patience as they have not given me any resolution.I have a loan on the windows that I am paying for so I cant just default payment to force them to fix the window. I want the window installed or my money returned.

On 4/26/2022 Yeureka Home Remodeling installed ten (10) windows in my house. This company contacted me through *** ************ a representative came out to discuss the make of the windows, the efficiency, the prices, warranty, etc. Windows were installed on 4/26/2022 and in December, 2022, I noticed an imperfection on the frame of one of the windows. I contacted the manufacturer, *****, on 12/07/2022 regarding the problem. On 12/20/2022 a tech/service person came to my home, took pictures and the numbers off of the window in question. On 2/13/2023, I contacted ***** because as of that date, I had not received any feedback from anyone concerning the window repair. ***** informed me that all of the information was sent to Yeureka and they were waiting for a response. On 2/20/2023, I emailed Yeureka, *************************, Project Manager, concerning this issue because after trying to contact them by phone, leaving my information on voice mail, there had been no response. The response I received from *************************, was asking who I spoke with at ***** so that he could follow up on my behalf. As of today, 3/23/2023, I have not received any follow up from anyone.

We ordered windows from this company on 2/21/22. They came and installed them in May of 2022 over a 2 day period and noticed one window was measured incorrectly and needed to be reordered and made again and another window wasn’t even ordered initially. Another window that was installed also had a crack in it. The installer “took care of it” and remeasured the two windows that needed to be reordered completely and placed an order for the replacement window that had a crack. We were told it would be about 6 weeks and we would get a call when the windows were ready to be installed to set up a date. We never received that call. In September of 2022 we began calling and were told the windows were made and sitting there and someone would call us to set up an installation time within the next 24 hours. That call never came. Over the next month we called several times and left messages daily, no one answered or returned the calls and voicemails. I finally got ahold of someone in December and asked them what we should do and they said the same thing about the windows being ready and someone would call us to set up installation. That call again never came. I called every day in January of 2023 and left voicemails because no one ever answered the phone and no one returned my calls. In February of 2023 I finally talked to someone named *** who told me again the windows were there and sent a message to the installation manager asking them to reach out to us to set up a day/time. They never did. It’s now been over a year since we’ve placed our order and over 9 months since the installation was supposed to be completed. This is the worst customer service I have ever received. I know the windows I ordered and have paid for are sitting there and just need to be installed. I’m just asking that the job I have already paid for be completed. It’s frustrating that I have to constantly try to track down an employee to talk to just to be put through the ringer with zero results for months.

We had a quote done on June 22, 2022. We were told that installation would be done in August, which is a long time but they said they were booked, so ok. There was sporadic contact in July then on August 16, 2022 I reached out to Asaf and asked when the installation would begin, he responded he would check and get back to me in 24hrs. I had to reach out again to **** on the 22nd of August because, surprise, he DID NOT respond in 24hrs. He didn't respond on the 22nd of August either. No one responded! We were pretty much "ghosted" until I made a FB post. We told them we were no longer interested after the way we were treated and honestly we thought they were not going to do the install. They threatened us with liens and what have you and FORCED us to get the windows installed even after I explained to ******* that this would be a financial hardship on us. So on October 26th, 3months after the quote and 2 months after the promised installation date, they installed the windows and doors! They did a poor job! Our door has nicks and dings, it's not installed properly, the wood around it is not sealed and doesn't fit right, the siding around the windows is loose and they left sawdust all over my porch and the siding that we just had painted! They promised to come back out and complete the door and siding but they aren't going to. ******* also promised $500 (a slap in the face really) for the "miscommunications". Well surprise surprise....we have been ghosted again! No one is answering us and they won't. No money was supposed to be paid until the job was complete to our satisfaction, however, we are being asked to make the first payment on Dec 20,2022 and the job is incomplete!

    Customer Answer

    Date: 02/01/2023

    Hello,

We NOT heard anything from Yeureka; despite numerous attempts.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/27/2023

We contracted with this customer on 6/22/22 for the manufacture and installation of 11 windows, 1 entry door and 1 storm door.    Our Production Department sent the customer an introductory text message on 6/23/22, which identified the project manager and asked the ******** to reach out to our team at any time with any issues or concerns.  The number we texted (###-###-####) acknowledged receipt of the text message.

By the end of July 2022: the ******** had confirmed their order with us; the ******** were approved for financing; and we had ordered all project materials for the ********’ project.  On 6/28/22, which was already after the ********’ three-day right to cancel their contract with us, we inspected the ********’ house and performed final measurements.  We reviewed these measurements and the window/door selections with **** *******, who signed to acknowledge that those were the window and door selections she and Mr. Merritt has chosen.  On 7/17/22, the *********’ applications to ******* bank to finance the window and door improvements were approved, and this approval was communicated to the ******** by ******* bank.   At no time did the ******** communicate any desire to cancel their project with us.

In the second half of 2022, manufacturing lead times were such that we communicated to all customers that their estimated project completion would be 12-16 weeks.  This is what we told the ******** when they signed an agreement with us on 6/22/23.  Within this 12-16 week timeframe, in early October 2022, we contacted the ******** to schedule installation, and they immediately responded “WE ARE NO LONGER INTERESTED…please stop calling and texting.”   We responded that “we’ve incurred substantial cost to custom make your windows and doors.  We are ready to install them.  It is well beyond the cancellation date, so please call me so we can discuss a resolution.”  We sent several more attempts at contact before getting a response.

13 weeks after the date of the agreement is far too long for the cancellation of a home improvement project, especially one where the goods are custom made.  The ******** claimed that they wanted to cancel in October 2022 because  they “made several attempts to contact us since the end of August.” We have no text, email or other records showing those attempts to contact us or cancel.  In any event, all of those attempts would have taken place more than two months after the ******** could have rescinded their 6/22/23 agreement with us.  By then, we had already purchased all of the materials necessary for the installation and spent considerable resources in managing their installation project.

Eventually we agreed upon an installation date of 10/26/22.  On that day, we messaged the ******** to check on our installation progress; the ******** replied “[a]ll is going well.  The guys are very nice and professional.”  We finished the project soon after, and, as is often the case, there were minor service items remaining. We agreed to address these minor service items.  We told the ******** that we would address the service items and issue them a $500 refund upon completion of the open service items.  The $500 was to accommodate the ******** for their perceived lack of communication.

A misunderstanding between us and our installation partner has delayed completion of the ********’ service items.  On 11/18/22 we notified our install partner that the trim for the ********’ entry door should have been cut to size on site, and we deferred to our install partner for a proposed resolution.  Typically, they would follow-up directly with a homeowner to schedule a service and complete it.  We noted in our file to issue the $500 refund upon completion of the service.  As our installation partner took responsibility for the service, we did not open our own service ticket.  **** ******* reached out to us on 11/30/23 to ask for an update, and we reached out to our installation partner for a service update.  We are no longer working with that installation partner, but we are committed to completing the service items and issuing the $500 refund.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I'm sorry, but this company has been lying to us and now you, from the very beginning. (The ******** claimed that they wanted to cancel in October 2022 because  they made several attempts to contact us since the end of August. We have no text, email or other records showing those attempts to contact us or cancel.) I sent you all the texts and emails that prove we did in fact try to reach out to them.  They NEVER stated 12-16 weeks, they are trying to cover themselves now.  What was stated was "we will begin this project at the end of August, beginning of September." Therefore, why would we have tried to contact them before August??  I am attaching the text messages between Asaf and myself.

We only agreed to the installation because they THREATENED us with a lien on our home!

As far as *******'s approval, I have reached out to them as well and they are also verifying that we were NOT TO BE CHARGED until the project was COMPLETE to our SATISFACTION!

It makes no difference to us now whether they keep the same contractors or not, at this point its too little, too late and as of this date, NO ONE from Yureka or anyone else has tried to contact us. (its the end of March 2023!)  No one has reached out to explain their above claims.  We no longer want to have any dealings with this company.

    Regards,
