Not happy with the company. Bought a 400$ radiator back in 2021, it claims to have lifetime warranty on products. Boy is that a hoax. I had a rock truck drop a rock that hit my car on the freeway. It didnt immobilize my car but it dented my bumper and radiator. I had no idea about the radiator leaking until i got home and it started leaking.. then i tried to file my warranty for a replacement. I had my product registered. And 1st i got a hard time about an invoice reciept for the purchace, finally found the record then it was i need a police statement innocent report... for a rock hitting my car.. so they dont want to uphold their warranty.

Hello Michael, thanks for the review and we apologize that you believe we are not honoring the warranty. We offer a limited lifetime warranty as described in detail on our website which will cover the product for the life you own it in the event of a manufacturing defect. Unfortunately, a foreign object such as a rock is not considered a manufacturing defect of the radiator and thus, not fully eligible. However, for any claim that is not fully eligible (for any reason), our team will happily offer a replacement at a heavily discounted rate. This discounted replacement is also covered by our warranty as well, of course. We would suggest contacting the rep you were working with via email to inquire about a discounted rate if they have yet to offer this as an option.

The Organization is not aligned as well as should be. The website does not reflect when a product is out of stock, I bought a product that I believed in stock A WEEK LATER I sent an email asking why my order wasn't processed? A week Layer I got an email which caused me to call support. When I did get the refund for the item out of stock it was $3.00. The total cost item was $275.00, WHY Only $3.00 Refunded???? This kead to another call to support. All in already I'm approaching a month of waiting start to finish.

I cannot recommend Mishimoto, At All

Extremely dissatisfied with your product and customer service! I bought a Jeep LJ from a friend who had put one of your radiators in it replacing the stock radiator in 2019. Shortly after my purchase the radiator started leaking at a weld. I took it to my mechanic here in Temecula. He put another one in from Mishimoto which started to leak shortly after placement. Again a weld failure. To your credit you warrantied this one and replaced it. 2 years later this one has failed again a weld failure and my mechanic says that you will not warranty this one. Let’s see what excuse you come up with for both failure of product and poor customer service. By the way my mechanic has said he has a number of vehicles, many of them Jeeps with failed Mishimoto radiators in his shop at this time. My sons friend just informed me he had issues with a failed Mishimoto radiator in his Subaru! I’m not expecting anything at this point other than your platitudes. I’ve already purchased and have had installed one of your competitors radiators!

Hello Bob, Thanks for reaching out. We apologize that you had a negative with our team recently. Based on the details you have provided here, we were only able to find one ticket with your contact information on it. This was back in 2022 and it would appear that the team took care of the request within 2 business days. If you would like to provide the contact details or ticket ID that your mechanic had created with us, we would be happy to take a deeper dive to learn what happened in this situation.

The one star is due to there warranty or what they call a warranty. I have a Mishimoto catch can on my car. Which I like very much. The bronze filter inside got plugged up. So I called them up and they said that they would send me a new one. I filled out the warranty forms online and got no response. I called them again and they sent me the forms by email which I filled out and sent with pictures of my problem. So far so good.
The part I needed (screw in bronze filter/screen) is only maybe $15 dollar part.
Then I get a invoice in my email to pay them $40 for "SHIPPING" of the part.
I called them again. They said we don't have the screen we are going to send you an new catch can.
A new catch can does me no good for the exception of needing the $15 dollar filter inside. And paying $40 for something that I don't need is NOT WARRANTY!
I ship quite a bit of stuff and I could ship 75 pounds of stuff across the country for like $20 in a flat rate box.
So how is paying $40 for a Warranty part a warranty. Sounds to me like they just want you to pay their cost of the part. THAT'S NOT A WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    THAT'S RIPPING YOU OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Bill, We apologize that you had a poor experience with our warranty policy and guidelines. To confirm, we clearly outline all costs associated with our warranty prior to providing the form below it. This is also available to anyone who would like to review the policy and guidelines before making a purchase as well. If you ask many of our happy customers, our warranty in comparison to our competitors is much more reasonable and customer-friendly. Just as a quick overview, many of these competitors will require the item to be removed from the vehicle and shipped back for inspection. Only after approving your claim will they allow a replacement to go out. Keep in mind that they also do not cover shipping (both ways). When it comes to Mishimoto, we ask for a picture, a receipt, and a shipping payment. Nothing more that would require the customer to send anything back. For these reasons, we believe our warranty policy is the most upfront and best in the business and apologize that you may not agree with that statement. Lastly, you are more than welcome to reply back to your warranty ticket for a re-evaluation of the shipping costs and our team will be happy to look into it further for you. Without this communication from your side, we are unaware there is a problem.

Before I ordered I asked if anything where to happen if they would warranty. This was September of 2021. They said yes they would so I purchased a radiator for my 2012 f350 which is stock. January 2023 it is leaking for a mount weld on the passenger side. I contacted and sent all the info in for the warranty. I got an email back saying ya sorry that’s not warranty but we can sell you a new one with warranty for $925. So I called. They said yes they will look into it. Two days later got another email saying sorry not warranty but I can do $855. So called again and pretty much got told well we don’t have call logs that go back and it’s not warranty. Even thou before I purchased it they said they would cover. So they do not stand behind their lifetime warranty and won’t answer you even thou they said they did. Also they will laugh at you then hang up on you since they won’t stand behind their lifetime warranty like I asked before purchasing.

Hello Meghan, We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with the Warranty team recently. We spent some time reviewing calls and speaking with the vendor you purchased this item from and were able to determine that this item was correctly advertised as an open-box product with no manufacturer's warranty implied. As our warranty guidelines state, in order to be eligible for warranty considerations, the item must be purchased in a brand new state from an authorized reseller. Unfortunately, an open-box item does not qualify for this.

However, as a courtesy, our team created a package deal for you to receive a replacement radiator in addition to our patented upper support bracket for your vehicle. The sum of this package deal plus the original price you paid is less than the cost of a new radiator on our site. At this time, we have emailed and called a few times without any reply. We asked that you please reply back to your existing ticket with our Customer Experience team at your earliest convenience if you would like to continue working with us.

    Leaks, Leaks, Leaks
I thought I was improving my towing ability by putting in a larger aftermarket radiator from Mishimoto but all I have had since then are problems. I put the original radiator in at 72k miles on 3/5/21. That one leaked where the fins join the outer tank. They replaced it under warranty (you pay shipping) at 84k miles on 2/18/22. That one leaked at the same place and I replaced it at 112k miles on 10/8/2022, also under warranty (paid shipping again) but I wanted my money back and they refused. This time they also sent me 3 gallons of their coolant to use. I used their coolant with the third radiator and now this one leaked at 117k miles that I noticed today, 1/30/23, because I had no heat and the reservoir was empty. Leaked in the same place for a third time. Only 5k miles after the last replacement with their fluid! I do not know what the problem is or why they keep leaking. The shop has had different guys do the work but always get the same result. All I want is my money back but they refuse. I put the factory Ford radiator back in because Mishimoto ones are only good for leaking and going in the metal scrap pile. I could never tell a difference anyways when towing so not worth trying a fourth one.

    Hello Travis,

It is rare to have a repeat issue with this particular radiator and if it is occurring in the same fashion twice (or more), that tends to point to an external issue putting stress on the radiator and causing a failure. Depending on many variables, the front core support flexes under load from driving, resulting in the radiator twisting. Modifications such as lifted suspension, larger tires, or heavier bumpers with push bars can exaggerate this, too. The OEM radiator may not have this specific issue as a fully aluminum and welded unit will not tolerate this type of movement as much as a plastic end tank unit that's crimped together with a rubber gasket. As for the refund request, we are not showing that the unit was purchased from Mishimoto.com directly preventing us from offering a direct refund. You do have the option of accepting a store credit for the amount that you had paid initially if that works better for you. To address the temperature difference comment, the thermostat primarily controls the operating temperatures. However, the heat rejection "ceiling" or your cooling system can disperse is greatly increased with our radiator compared to the OEM system. If the OEM radiator has no issues dissipating the heat based on your usage, a larger aluminum radiator may not show a direct result. on the temp gauge on the dash in the vehicle.

Thank you for your response and I will provide you with more information. My truck is stock with no accidents. I did not purchase the radiator directly, the shop that installed it for me did. However, here is my original warranty ticket number for the first one that went bad: KGI-486-44698, SRS-891-23116 along with the warranty replacement order number of 145158231. Here are the serial numbers for all three radiators that I have had that have leaked: 8676B0430, 9088B0634, 9214B1239. The last radiator only went 3 months without any heavy usage before leaking worse than any of the others. On radiator two I requested a refund and was denied and received this response from Mason N. “As we are not the place of purchase we do not have a way to refund you for the radiator as we do not have a transaction to refund”. Not sure if there is a way around this but nobody wins here. You are out 3 radiators and I am out 3 radiators plus all of the cost of coolant, my time and the shop time that I had to pay plus I am back with my stock radiator.

My usage is; I tow a 7,000lb trailer over the Rocky Mountains and have for the past three years. About 4-5 trips each summer. One year without the Mishimoto and two years with. I had the same temperature problems with the stock radiator as I did with the Mishimoto which is why I am going back to stock. That and the leaking.

I purchased a radiator for my camaro , it was not welded properly. Mishimoto shipped a replacement which had a leak also. I think they have a good product but craftmenship could use a bit of tweaking. I was very impressed with the high Quality of customer service! Fast response and shipping out replacement very quickly! I would like to say that Mason is a huge part of your team we need more people like that in the business that truly care ! I’m rating more on customer service that product.

The quality of their products are hit and miss. I just bought a lower silcone radiator kit for an 2019 GT Mustang and the metal connention had several welds on it that looked like an 1st grader tried to weld. The design had several flaws in it too. My mechanic refused to change it out while I was getting a Aluminator 5.0L engine installed. I also choosed to buy an "Cold Case" radiator made in the USA, instead of Mishimotto. bc my last tricked out "rice rocket" Mishmotto raditor crapped out bc of lousy welds, just like this lower radiator kit.
Quality has gone down the toilet w them. Plus I had to pay for shipping back to them and a 25% stocking "FEE" for a defective product.
BUY USA Steeda, BMR, Summit and Jegs! Way better customer service.

Hello Richard, we are sorry that you feel that you had a poor experience with our team recently. To confirm, we are discussing the return of the lower radiator hose for the 2019 V8 Mustang. To confirm, we have had no issues with this product and from the sounds of it, your reason for returning was due to a change of build preference. Since this is a return outside of our control and technically outside of our normal return period, it appears that the representative did as much as they could by allowing you to still return this, but with a 12% restocking fee. Unfortunately, we are unsure of where the quoted 25% came from. As for the manufacturing and comparison to competitors' products, it may be advantageous for you to inquire more about where their products are sourced before making too many assumptions.

So, I bought my stock location radiator for my 07 mk5 GTI about a year or 2 ago. I was so excited when buying it for close to $300, not because of the price but because of what it's going on. I didn't even realize when I unboxed that it didn't come with a drain pitcock. That was around winter 2 years ago, fast track to last year when it was installed. I take my what I'm guessing now was some kind of aftermarket stock radiator WITH A DRAIN PITCOCK off and think about the fact that I don't think my brand new one that's larger and made completely out of metal has any place to drain it...so I email complaining that I want them to take it back and put one on so my warrant isn't voided. They say they won't and that is was made after a stock radiator that didn't come with a pitcock. Now, why would you make something bigger and capable of holding more fluid without in turn making it easy for the individual to drain said item? Plus, how much extra time would it have really taken them to add said pitcock...maybe 20 minutes at most. I go back and forth with support for a week or 2 at that point about this exact issue. The end result is I got no help, and IF I WANT TO HAVE A DRAIN PITCOCK I HAVE TO COMPLETELY VOID MY LIFETIME WARRANTY TO DO SO. Yea, that's a good way to handle customer, their money, your products and reputation. You made it wrong, own up to the design flaw and fix it. But now from what I've read mishimoto seems to do a lot of back peddling on here, coming up with a lot of excuses as to why this happened this way or that. I commented this on their "sponsor me" on Facebook which is turn they deleted my comment and made to where I can't comment at all now, that's fine that's why I'm here now to keep my story out there about their flawed design and the fact I have to void my warrant to make this drain properly as it should have out of the box.

Hello Johnathan, After reviewing your tickets, we were unable to find anything outside of a ticket from mid-2021. To recap this situation, we do attempt to retain as many features that the OEM radiator possesses when designing our product. If the OEM radiator does not include a drain plug or petcock, ours will typically follow that trend as the manufacturer of the vehicle may have included a better location for draining. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide alterations or one-off products, thus the reason our rep stated we were unable to perform this. However, the entire warranty we offer would not be voided if you decided to perform this change yourself. If the customization done on the radiator is the direct cause of the failure, then yes, we will not be able to fully cover the product. If the failure was unrelated, we would cover this of course. If a negative public comment is made on our page for a topic unrelated to the post itself, these will typically be removed by the team. You are welcome to reach out to me direct at [email protected] if you would like to continue this discussion so we can get on the same page and come to an agreement.

I purchased the Essentials Bundle for Jeep Wrangler JK 2012–2018 (MMB-WRA-001) for my jeep when it was overheating. I tried washing out my radiator and flushing my coolant, but nothing worked. As it turns out my entire system was full of casting sand that was just floating around my system. After replacing my radiator and installing the coolant filter with the new silicon hoses and lower temperature thermostat, my jeep is running like a champ. I couldn’t be happier. Mishimoto was more than helpful in getting my parts and the online videos helped me get it all installed. Knowing that my parts are all backed by the Mishimoto’s Lifetime Warranty gives me peace of mind. I can’t recommend them enough. If you don’t have this kit installed on your 2012-2018 Jeep, you are just asking for problems. Thank you Mishimoto!
