    I terminated my service with them the 2nd week of January 2025 and I was told I was paid thru March. I have sent several emails about my refund and get told they will forward it to the proper department and now its June *** I have not gotten any response.

    Hello,

    In response to the above claim. we did process a refund check on June 4, 2025 to the ** box that was provided.  It was returned by the *********** as undeliverable. It was just resent on June 25th to the address on file.

    I tried to call the customer but had to leave a message to verify the address where the check should be mailed.

    I moved out of my residence on December 18 2024 and stopped using their services. When I called to cancel service the representative on the phone refused to close my account. I did get them to finally close the account on January *******. They took 3 weeks to retrieve their disposal can and are sending me bills and threatening me with collections based on a time the service was not used.

    I have referred back to our call logs for December and January, and we have records of only 2 calls from the numbers listed on your account (calls were from phone # ending in 4057). Both of these calls were received on January 17, 2025. There was no record of any calls prior to that within that time frame. One call was received at 9:02 and 9:03 am. Therefore, service was canceled as of that date, with charges for February and ***** services prorated off the balance. We do not offer partial month credits. This left a balance of $32.00 for January plus accrued finance charges. Therefore, we feel this is a valid charge.

    I overpaid my bill in May 2024 by about 97$. City of ********* does not use Tri-County services anymore, so the extra money are not going to be used towards upcoming bill. Between June and present I called Try-County customer service multiple times, asking to have my money returned to me. Every time I was told they will refund me shortly. it has been about 5 months now and I am still waiting. If I was delayed on my payment for almost half of the year, Try-County would shut down my service and hit me with penalties but somehow its perfectly acceptable for them to keep money which are not theirs.

    Purchased my home in March, no warning or information given about trash and recycling options till a bill showed up in my name. Since I never signed up for service with the company I assumed it was a mistake and called to let them know this. They told me I am required to use their services because they have a contract with the town. I asked if there was any other options or other companies offering these same services and I was told no. I was then harassed and forced to sign a contract with the tri-county company and paid $99 for services that I had never received. I was still denied service and was forced to pay an additional $89.40 for various fees and to use a bin they provide. From March 39th till October 31st 2024 I still have never received services and no resolutions have been offered or provided.

    The service in this area is a contracted area so the residents do have to have our service.  The service level is cart service which does require a service agreement be signed since it is our property.

    A prorated bill for May-October is what the $99 charge was for.  They are billed on a quarterly basis of $59.40, monthly rate of $19.80.

    The customer was instructed that bags could be placed out until the cart was delivered.  

    I have issued a credit of $39.60 for 2 months of service as a courtesy that I hope satisfies this issue.

    I did not receive my bill in January, and when I finally received the late bill, I paid the late fee. The next quarter I apparently did not receive the bill and I did not realize it until I received the late bill again. I paid the bill and called and was told they would wave the late fee. They never did, and added 2 more late fees by the time I received the next quarter bill. I received a call from their collections person, and she told me they would try to work with me. I requested a paper copy of my bill to verify what I was paying once they made a decision. I never received a paper copy of the bill until they added another late fee. I paid the entire bill I had requested except the late fee, and responded to an email I had received from the collections person. She informed me they would not wave any further fees. I feel I had the right to see what I was paying prior to making any payments. They are saying they mailed me both bills, however, I never received them. I had switched twice from electronic bills to paper bills, and the problem occurred after I called to make sure my billing type had been changed after the first missed bill. I have essentially already paid an extra bill to them in late fees. As a single mom,I do my best to pay my bills on time, and absolutely do not have the extra money to continue to pay extra fees due to their original mistake. At this point, I would just like the last $10 late fee waved to get my account up to date before they charge me another late fee.

    I cancelled my service with Tri County due to multiple weeks of the service not being provided. Tri County then proceeded to claim that they made an attempt to collect their bins from my property. I was not notified of either attempt to collect the bins and do not keep them out by the road. The responsibility in the failure to collect these bins lies with tri county as we were never notified when they planned to collect them. I now have a bill for almost $200 for bins that have since been collected, due to me reaching out to them and arranging for them to be picked up. Tri County has now reported this bill to collections due to their inability to notify us of their plans to retrieve their own bins. This business is completely incapable of providing the services they are paid for as well as providing reasonable customer service.

    Trash not picked up on 3/16-3/17/23. Called on 3/23/23 @ 5:20PM because we didn't realize the trash (in a latched "bear box") hadn't been picked up the prior week until we took that weeks trash down. Trash not picked up again on 3/30-3/31/23 called 3/31@ 8:09AM. Even though we had the bear box lid secured in the open position, the truck driver refused to stop. Trash was again not collected on 4/6-4/7/23. Called 4/7 @10:42AM and was told the driver noted there was no trash. Called again on 4/8/23 @8:08AM spoke with Karen and requested cancellation of service due to ongoing issues with trash collection. Stated I would not be paying for the current quarter of 4/1-6/30/23 as no services had been rendered for that time period due the driver again refusing to pick up the trash on the first collection day of the quarter. On 7/13/23 a bill was received stating I owed $57 for a "prior balance" and was also assessed a $10 "late fee", When I called on 7/14/23 I was informed that I owed for the month of April (should only be $33/mo) since I didn't call BEFORE the month began. Even though I received absolutely no collection services in the month of April and struggled to have it picked up for the 3 weeks prior... PLUS a $10 late fee is added for each month "past due". Yet the company made no efforts to notify me during the phone call when I cancelled service that I'd owe for the month. NOR did they bother to send out any bill or notice between the time I cancelled service on 4/8/23 until when I receiving the bill on 7/13/23 for a supposed "prior balance" and late fees. Asked to speak with a supervisor, directed to a voicemail of a Holly, left a message for a return call. I have yet to receive a return phone call.

    Sent a letter with one week's payment for trash collection. Called today 7-14-2023 spoke to a
    K'Oona. She told me they want me to pay for the whole month. I told her I used the service for
    one week. They cashed my check. Now they want $20 for a late fee. I wasn't late paying for the
    week.

    My desired resolution is to be marked paid in full.

    The service was a monthly service.  When the call was taken to cancel the service , it was on April 11th which was a Tuesday.  The pickup day for this customer was Friday so therefore, it was cancelled for Friday, April 14th which would have allowed for 2 pickups.

    my complaint is this company is not picking up my garbage we moved in
    this house a year ago and i still have to call thm every week to come get my garbage I asked
    thm who should I talk to about the issue because it is a issue, thy transfer me to some man can't
    remember his name thy tell me if he don't answer leave a message he will call me back never
    have , I don't understand because recycle have no problems picking up and there is alot of
    garbage on are street so I don't understand why it's just are garbage i figured at 1st because we
    were new but we been here for over a year, it really pissed me off because I called thm on April
    13th to come pick up my garbage and they never came to get it so I called back today April
    17th, and she told me i would have to wait until Wednesday, I was really upset, now are garbage
    is $129.00

    I have been a long time Tri County industries. I contracted with them 4 years ago, and my given price was ***** a month. Since that time they have increased my price twice, and since last July are now billing me a surcharge fee for diesel. Additionally, effective January 1, 2023, they are now charging an extra $3.00 a month just to mail me their bill. This company is getting ridiculous, and I believe violating their contracted service. I would try to stay away from this company for all of the added fees they are now charging.

    This customer has been with us since November 12, 1997.  HIs current monthly rate is $39/month & is billed on a quarterly basis.

    Customer's are given the option of receiving their bill via email or by mail, which is a $3 administration charge.  This customer does receive his bill via email so there is no additional charge. There is no additional charge for fuel.
