I took out a loan to pay my bills when I was on an unpaid maternity leave at my job. I reached out to PSECU to let them know I cannot afford my monthly payments of $420 and asked if they could lower my payments to $250 and they refused. I am not able to pay $420 and I would like my payments lowered.

Complaint Against: ******** (Pennsylvania State Credit Union)Issue: Inaccurate Credit Card Account Reported to Equifax I am filing this complaint against PA ST CU regarding a credit card account (partial account number ***********) that is being inaccurately reported to Equifax as a derogatory charge-off account with a past due balance of $21,857.00.According to my credit report, the account was allegedly opened on 04/01/2022, became inactive in January 2023, and was reported as a charge-off in February 2025. It shows a payment history with no prior delinquencies until the account suddenly reflects late payments and charge-off status, despite previously reporting "OK" for nearly two years. This account does not appear on my TransUnion or Experian reports, which raises additional concerns about its legitimacy and accuracy.I have never opened or authorized any credit card account with PA ST CU. I have no relationship with this institution and believe this tradeline is either a result of identity theft, misreporting, or an account that was fraudulently opened in my name.I have mailed a formal dispute and debt validation request to PA ST CU, demanding documentation proving the origin of this account. At this time, I have received no response, and the account remains on my Equifax report, causing substantial damage to my credit profile.I am requesting the following resolution:Immediate removal of this fraudulent or inaccurate account from my Equifax credit report;Written confirmation that I do not owe this debt;Cease all collection and credit reporting activity related to this account. This account is being reported in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and is interfering with my ability to access fair credit. I respectfully ask the Better Business Bureau to assist in resolving this matter.Sincerely,******* ******

I recently applied to join PSECU with the intention of bringing my business banking over. However, I received a letter stating that I am banned from the credit union without any explanation. This is both confusing and concerning, as I have never had any prior relationship with PSECU.I am a responsible account holder with excellent banking relationships elsewhere and a member of the ************************* (Membership #******), which qualifies me for credit union membership. Given my strong financial standing, I find this decision questionable and would like a clear explanation as to why PSECU has taken this action. If this is due to an internal error or misconduct by an employee, I expect it to be addressed immediately.I request a prompt response with a valid reason for this ban.

On 1/25/2025 a minimum payment of $398 was due on my **** credit card at PSECU. I transferred the payment via my ************* checking account. Then another withdrawal of the same amount was debited from my ************* checking account, in error. I contacted PSECU to inform them that another withdrawal was made in error and requested that they reverse the transaction. They stated that they couldnt transfer it back to my checking account, so they deposited the $398 additional withdrawal into a savings account at ********************** that I have never used. They told me that I would have to transfer it back to my checking account via the savings account. The balance in the savings account was $17.30 which accumulates dividends and is never used by me on a regular basis. So, after PSECU deposited the additional $398 payment it increased to $415.30. I transferred $405 to my checking account, to recoup the withdrawal made in error. I contacted ************* when I noticed the additional withdrawal from my checking account and disputed the transaction. They later put a stop payment on the additional withdrawal. PSECU debited the savings account with the disputed amount which was $398 and now the savings account shows a deficit of -$387.70 and the available balance is -$392.70. I called PSECU to inquire about the negative balance in the savings account and the representative stated that ************* stopped payment on the payment and that I would have to deposit the amount I transferred out of the savings account to get rid of the negative balance. My request is for PSECU to credit the savings account with the $398 which was an additional withdrawal made in error from my ************* checking account, since the payment of $398 for the month of 1/2025 was made and the additional withdrawal of $398 was made in error and should have been returned to me which is why I withdrew it from the savings account as they *********************, since they couldnt reverse the transaction.
