I attempted to pay off my car loan. There was a balance of around $20. The automated phone system incorrectly told me $314. After speaking with a representative, they told me I was good because the money was taken from my share account. I received my title in the mail. After a month my credit score dropped 75 points because they said I had a late payment. 7 years of on time payments and the money was available for the last payment in my share account. I dont believe my credit should have been affected and they have denied all disputes I have filed.Business Response

My name is **** ******* DOB ********** So back in June PSECU decided to Suspend my Checking Account 0002 ID Member #**** without any providing me with exact details and their reasoning for Suspending the account all the letter said was I cost them $50 or more how when I have been banking with them for the last 4 years they never approve me for any loans or Credit Cards so why did you suspend my Checking account. All I did was also referred a friend that lives in ******* to apply for a credit card and when I call to ask about my referral fee they started saying my account was suspended and that's it and that it made me ineligible to get the referral fee. whatever happen between my friend applying for credit cards has nothing to do with me when I live in *****. I have been banking with you 4 years and you never had any problems with me I was using my account on a regular and making Deposits so my account was active. I want for you to reconsider your decision and take the suspension off my account reactivate my account and send me a new debt card and make online app back available for me to use. Please and Thank You!Business Response

I have a loan through psecu for a car. My insurance has only been renewed since I took out the loan. Now a year after paying they are saying my insurance is insufficient. If thus is true it was never sufficient and they were ok with it. Or they changed terms without consent. I have tried for 2 hours today to figure this out after waiting 3 months for them to call me back with a answer.Business Response

I have been with PSECU since 2021 with the auto loan I have in place with them. This company has unbeknownst closed my account 4 times this year with the remarks "repossession and fixed rate." This is inaccurate information as my account is in well standing with the company. Every instance, I have to dispute this matter with ******* and the account gets corrected. My issue is that with this happening 4 times, my score drops ***** points every time and then it only recovers 7-10 points. Again, with the constant occurrences my score has taken a detrimental hit that is harming me in other aspects of life. This is hurting me from being approved for future credit cards, home loans, car loans, etc. which has become a burden in my life. Also, falsifying credit reports and defamation of character are charges that are punishable by law and those steps will be taken due to the seriousness of my issue. I will not refinance because 1. I have a great rate with this company as which I believe they want me to surrender and 2. I CANNOT GET APPROVED BY OTHER COMPANIES DUE TO THE SIGNIFICANT HITS ON MY REPORT. Every time I call in, they have no idea how this keeps happening but I know Equifax does not make up credit reports as they only reflect what has been reported to them. An associate even stated in does not say why this happened or no remarks have been left which is incorrect because I have proof of them adding/removing remarks which I will attach below. I want this company investigated as I feel like it is deeper matter and not some clerical error or misplacing of information. And if they do find a solution, what do I get from the hardships I have faced with this company?Business Response

PSECU implemented new policies without making sure their customers knew and have taken money from my account without my knowledge or consent even after telling them Id pay the past due, NOT the total, because i KNEW i had to pay rent today and would be jeopardized. Earlier this same week, they jeopardized my sons safety by taking money from his account.Business Response

On 7/25/2024 I contacted PSECU regarding a vague error code/message I received while attempting to use mobile deposit from the PSECU application. The resolution of this error was to contact the Credit Union directly. Upon contacting them they told me the only resolution available was to have another part send their mobile banking unit a waver AND a copy of their driver's license via e-mail. When I asked for an alternative way to submit this information because e-mail is not a secure path, and has many vulnerabilities to hackers I was not only rudely interrupted, dismissed but also "assured" email was secure. I personally work in Technology and Security is one of my top priorities, I can assure anyone that sending any PII and Identification documents via email is a very bad idea. Even if the email is secure on that banks end, which I doubt it is, it is almost never fully encrypted from an individual members end. This policy is blatantly egregious and your customer service representatives are 100% misleading consumers if they are telling them email is a safe mode of communication for copies of ID.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: the response from PSECU is disingenuous and false. No one has called me. I had to make several calls myself in order to handle this situation. I had to ask multiple associates for an alternative method. All of which asked me to send via an unsecured email before my instance lead to a safer transmission method. It appears to me that this institution continues to customer PII and data privacy at risk.
