1 starBeen with them with a PSECU credit card 6 years. Had an authorized use of card as fraud from ******. ****** saw it was an unauthorized use of stolen identity with our last four digits on file with ******. They credited back to bank of PSECU, and later PSECU put the fraud loan back on us even though ****** admitted someone used fake account with getting into our card on file with ******. I emailed all evidence to BBB. BBB contacted ******, and Amazon stated , again, they would reimburse to credit card again, only this time get forms from PSECU . PSECU refuses to send us forms , said case closed, no recourse, and actually hung up. My wife is very good to give evidence, long story to explain, but she went through the best investigation any attorney could do. This company is not reputable.Review fromBridgette L

1 starI have held a mortgage with them for 10 years as a co-applicant which pays the monthly bill which is due the 1st of each month but actually not due until the 15th. Depending on my pay every two weeks is when I make the payment. If they do not receive it by the 8th they start sending nasty letters in the mail. Last month I made a mistake and sent the old monthly payment but then made up for it the following month. I have received nothing but harassing phone calls and letters when I finally got thru on the phone which is impossible to get thru in which they won't talk to me because I am not the main person on the mortgage I told them to the details and I still received a nasty letter saying I was late. This is not a friendly credit union, we have had nothing but problems with them since we applied. The lowest interest rate is not always the best to deal with. I would never recommend them to anyone.Review fromLisette F

I have been with PSECU over 20 years with multiple accounts. They USE to be a great credit union to belong to, they were all about the members. In the last 8 plus years they have declined significantly. They do NOT protect your financial interest, or extend a hand for advice, assistant etc. If you are a member monitor you accounts closely.Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union

You must submit proof of car insurance on any active auto loan with psecu. You must also maintain an active savings account to keep the loan active. I am into my third year term and for some reason they picked this year to ask for proof of auto insurance via mail and email. I responded to this request back in August. Several days went by and I then received a written letter stating that $250-300 would be added to my loan if I did not send the required documents by x date. I picked up the phone and asked to speak to the supervisor (8/27). When I informed her that I had sent the requested documents over via email she said we could just handle it over the phone. I pushed for her to do the research because I sent the documents accordingly. After 15 minutes she said she found the email but the link has expired. She stated emails can take 7-10 business days to open. She offered to call the insurance company and took care of it on her own. While i appreciated that , it was not necessary and double the work because I had already send the documents over. Here we are today, I get another email regarding the same request for the same documents. I called the phone number and asked the *** why this credit union is so disorganized and incapable of documenting proper communication. From my angle, it appears they are just trying to find a way to penalize customers for anything they can find. Oh, and the supposed reason for this new email was because my insurance expired two weeks after my initial phone call in August. The funny thing is, I have proof that I renewed my insurance prior to my initial phone call and the supervisor failed to ask the insurance company, let alone document any communication she had with me. Apparently the *** had to listen to my phone call from that date all over again. To prove they are phishing for money, the email they sent me today is 37 days beyond my alleged lapse of insurance coverage. If you were that concerned you would have contacted *******.Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union

Do not trust this bank! I have been with this bank since 2000, when I first started employment with the state. For years, I felt like this bank turned down everything I applied for, yet my friends with lower credit would always be approved. However, I stayed because it was convenient. Recently, I received a check from a family member that was returned. I covered the check from my own money immediately. Well, I went to use my mobile banking, and I was locked out of my account, so I called **********************. I got a very rude and unpleasant representative who told me the bank has canceled my mobile banking and all ATM deposits because a year ago the same thing happened, and I was "counseled" about it. Two checks written to me from another party were returned in a year, and I was punished as if I wrote the checks myself. I also covered those checks immediately. Yet, this has not happened to other people I know who have been in the same situation. It's like they don't like me or people like me. Also, when I asked to speak with a manager, they put me through to voicemail, and they never called me back. A few weeks later, I called in again. This time the manager got on the line with a confrontational attitude. He was rude, disrespectful, and kept talking over me. He also stated a manager doesn't have to call you back if they determine your call is not relevant or important. I notice PSECU's level of customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with at a bank. Needless to say, I'm done after 20+ years of banking here. I'm going to a military credit union. Be cautious of this awful bank... better yet, don't even join this distasteful, discriminatory, and dishonest bank. Yes, they lie too!Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union
