      I have had a physical ClinCard Mastercard for a few years and have never had any issues using it anywhere whether it be in person or online. I was just issued a virtual **** ClinCard and I cannot use it anywhere online. I was told by a customer service rep that the reason both charges were declined was that both retailers are "high risk" / "invalid merchants. The smaller retailer is ******* ****** Online there in PA and most surprising of all the other retailer is ******. ******* ****** is in the same state as ********** and then there's ****** which I believe is the largest retailer in the world. If I can't use this card at a store in their home state or with the largest retailer in the world WTF???So they have lied when they said that this virtual card can be used anywhere that accepts ****. They have also refused to email me a list of who they consider to be "high risk" / "invalid merchants".

      Hello ******,

      First off, I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. After reviewing your account, I want to first mention that the card is indeed accepted anywhere **** is accepted, with the exception of the bank limiting any transaction at any merchant they have deemed high risk.  If the transaction is attempted at a merchant that falls within the bank's parameters to block, the transaction will be denied.  We do not have a list of high risk merchants, nor would it be shared - this is solely at the discretion of the bank per their fraud monitoring requirements.  The first merchant, from the name, sounds like they absolutely would be on that list.  For ****** - the transactions aren't directly with ****** - they are with the ****** partner merchant.  The cards do work with ******, however if one of their partner merchants churns a lot of fraud, that partner merchant would be flagged by the bank.  These are preventative measures enforced by the bank to protect the cardholders from merchants that experience/churn many instances of fraud.

      We, unfortunately, have no control over the bank's policies and certainly can understand that it can be frustrating. There are plenty of other merchants that the card will not be denied at.

      I refused merchandise and had it shipped back to company immediately unopened. Post Office provided tracking number verifying items had been return and received by sender. I have been waiting on my refund from card service since 6/2/22, after filling dispute and have yet to receive my credit back onto my card after submitting all documents in a timely manner. I have sent multiple emails to '[email protected]' with no response. I am very frustrated and disappointed about the poor customer service and lack of professionalism. Furthermore, I want my money.
