      Unbelievably bad customer service. Have spent probably 8 hours going over bills with them. I said there was NO WAY my bill could be this high. I live alone and most of the times my condo is vacant due to my travels. My bill is twice my neighbors, who live there full time and are a family of 5. Amerigas sends out a technician to read the meter and confirms it is correct (and they charged me for this). Eventually I find out they are charging me nearly double the rate they are supposed to. They also told me to pay only when they actually read the meter, which is only 2 times a year. They estimate in-between and estimated over 110 gallons more than I used in just one month! Told to just pay when they read the meter. Now have late fees they won't waive! I see ***** reviews on yelp, and 95% are 1 star. I understand why.

      AmeriGas has extremely fraudulent business practices! Every year they send me a bill for a "service call" that never actually happened! This year they claim it's a state required inspection, but the thing is, I was home and outside in the garden all day the day they claimed to have come. NO ONE CAME!! They are just trying to get money out of my under the pretense of an inspection that a) never happened, and b) could be completed by the guys who come fill the tank every month! Do not use this company! I refuse to pay them for this ***** **** for something that they didn't even show up to do, and didn't give me any notification that it was something they were going to do.

      Beware of Amerigas. We had them since we moved in in 2019. They have slowly been increasing their prices. Last bill was $4.19 per gallon. So we switched to Economy Heating. Called Amerigas to cancel service/future deliveries and have them come pick up the tank. They are charging a $300 fee for tank pickup and a $120 fee for cancellation service fee. What the heck!! Fortunately, the savings with Economy Heating will pay for that before the first year is even up.

      Needed my tank moved 20 feet, was quoted $119.99, ended up being billed another $299.99. I disputed the second charge and was sent an email saying there was nothing they could do even though I was not made aware of the ungodly amount up front. Switched to a small propane company and told them to come and get their tank. I was charged another $419.99 after they picked up the tank. I disputed it again and while waiting for a response was slapped with a $36 late fee! Very Predatory behavior and the poster child for corporate GREED! Beware of this company and their ILLEGAL scams.

      Billed for services not ask for and billed for closing the service ,even after medical explain issues we had ********************************************************************************************** any other way not to have to use this service again ,been on phone for 30 minutes ,waiting ,a couple times ,only good thing is the delivery person were always good ,but customer service or management is not .

      This is definitely a Zero Star company. I was recently widowed. The account was in my husband's name, and they treat me like **** for trying to change the name on the account. For real, who on earth would call to volunteer to pay for someone else's bill unless they were personally involved with not only the person but the home as well. I even volunteered to send a copy of his Power of Attorney giving me all rights to manage his finances. But no, they gave me nothing but additional grief. I called another company who was sympathic enough to warn me about the associated costs of changing service providers. Go figure, the tank was here when we bought the house over 15 years ago, pretty sure that tank lease fee has paid for the tank and much more over that period of time.

      Requested a quote for propane installation. Ended up being charged $226.72, for Service Dispatch Fee ($119.99) and Site Survey ($99.75). This was for a 10 minute visit and tech did not show up on scheduled day. Talked to **************** and the dispute team, requesting bill be cancelled, all saying I need to pay. No other business charged for a quote, only Amerigas/ Heritage.I either pay the bill or risk collections as no one from the company will answer phone calls, emails, or letters. Do not recommend this company for any service.

      I had Amerigas fill my tank and selected monthly billing. They filled it once, I paid ***** monthly and the final balance was *****, yet they said I owed *****. When I contacted billing they said, "that's the way it is!", with no explanation. So, it took me two hours to cancel my account, and I could not connect to a live person. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

      Had a repair done to my propane tank. The service technician had me sign off on invoice totaling $319. A few days later Amerigas sent me an invoice in an email charging $878 ($300 an hour for labor!). Talked to company service representative complaining about the massive difference in what I signed off on but all they said was I had to pay the invoice amount i got in email. Avoid this company if possible!

      I purchased my home in summer ******************************************************* The first ********** to inspect the system told me the tank needed to be replaced and that he would consult his supervisor and call me back due to the tanks inaccessible location (no truck access for tank swap). I never received a follow-up call.Since then, *** made multiple calls reporting the gas smell. On June 23, 2025, I again reported the ongoing issue. Although I requested no ********** be sent, one was dispatched. I understand the safety concern, but I had reported the same issue earlier this year without any response. The phone tech on June 23 said he would follow up with his support team about selling me the tank and ending the contract, promising an email within 35 days, but I never heard back.The ********** also said on video that I would not be charged for the visit, but I was charged anyway. He also promised a call from his supervisor, which never came. I have visual evidence the tank is leaking and the gas smell continues. No repairs or replacements have been done.Earlier this year, I ordered 100 gallons of propane, but the tank was filled completely at $4.20 per gallon, which I believe is price gouging. I requested a pump-out to reflect only the 100 gallons I ordered, but that requestmade in March 2025has still not been honored.This has been an ongoing safety and service issue with no resolution, poor communication, and unexpected ********** not use under any curcomstances.
