      Our local propane provider was purchased by Amerigas. Our account is on Will Call, meaning they are only supposed to deliver gas when we call. Recently I noticed a debit from our checking account by Amerigas. They had delivered gas to our residence, without my request or authorization, and then took the payment from our account. I have since removed our auto payment information. This isn't the first time Amerigas has delivered without my request. We recently purchased a house we are renovating- not living there. I called Amerigas to inspect the tank and gas appliances. The service tech told me the inspection was free. The propane tank was 3/4 full. Then a couple of weeks late I got a bill from Amerigas for filling the tank! I didn't request it and we didn't need it! A customer service rep told me the inspection was only free if we had the tank filled after. That information was not communicated to me upfront. And, they put the account on auto delivery without my authorization. This company engages in deceptive business practices. Avoid them, if at all possible. Are there any local propane providers left? Big business/Big bully!

      This company is the worst company i have ever dealt with, they never come on time to refill the tank, even when you give a week in advance refill request , I've been left several times without gas for several weeks,and one occasion they never knocked on my door instead locked my propane tank and was told I wouldn't have any one at my house for another 2 weeks, very unreliable, this company needs to be out of service, please if you are considering using propane for your house I express to you do not do it especially if this is the company that Services your area. As a matter of fact we are converting our system so that we don't deal with this type of headache.
