      I was trying to rollover my 401 K into an IRA. To collect they are extremely good but to pay out, they send you through outsourced companies that HAVE NO CLUE what they’re doing. I was supposed to have the money wired (4days with the back and forth) and when I tried conferencing both banks together Vanguard people hung up on me. I called back and they said the call was disconnected. Then they said they could fedex me the check but I needed to provide a fedex account number. So again I called them back and gave the fedex account number. I’m here thinking that I will have the check by last Thursday. When I saw fedex didn’t arrive, I called once again. Outsourcing people whom you CANNOT understand answered. Said once again, check will take ANOTHER 2 weeks. I had it and blew up. They never give you a manager when you ask for one and they never resolved my issue. Here I am waiting ANOTHER 2 weeks for the check. In total it’ll be a month after I requested the check.

      I work for a University that has Vanguard and TIAA has vendors for 403b programs. The University started making contributions to Vanguard, despite me making contributions to TIAA. I initiated a transfer of the fund to TIAA and was told by Vanguard the request should be granted because it is a direct transaction. Vanguard has twice denied the request and the most recent time I have called, it's because I cannot move the funds since I haven't been terminated from the University, despite the University no longer making contributions to the fund. I now have 3 separate 403b accounts, two of which should be able to be combined. The first representative sent me an asset transfer form to transfer funds to Vanguard. The second representative said to let the TIAA paperwork process and that it should go through. The third representative said I had to be terminated by the University in order to transfer the funds. Clearly, no one knows what they are talking about. Avoid Vanguard for all financial investments. You will never get a correct answer and they have no interest in working for your best interests.

      I have been contacting Vanguard for weeks attempting to get my case resolved. I sent a cashiers check to have my personal loan paid off and they never put the funds toward my account. I sent them proof the check was chased 1 month ago and they keep giving me the run-around. "It will be posted tomorrow," " call back tomorrow for an update," " I've never heard of a case like this," and/or "sorry, I can't get a hold of the individual working on your case." When I ask to speak to a supervisor, they simply deny anyone else is available. I even had one representative tell me "there isn't much more than can do for you then what I am telling you." Essentially there is no one else that can help me and have been calling back everyday for the last 2 weeks. This is ridiculous all while they continue to take funds from my paycheck semi-monthly. Worst customer service ever!!!!! I hope I can eventually have this resolved.

      I wish you had a negative star. After reading these reviews I find that I am one of many who cannot get a transaction completed. I have tried 6 times to transfer my funds to another investment agency and having the same problem I had with my other accounts. My husband passed away and I transferred my joint account to a single. During the process, Vanguard entered my SS number incorrectly. I submitted a transfer and was told the SS did not match. My new firms number was correct and Vanguards was not. Called on hold on hold on hold and they transferred me to onboarding. They said they fixed the problem and to try again. I have done this 5 times. They finally sent me a W9 I completed and they said problem was fixed. Resubmitted and told SS number did not match. I truly feel they do not want to let go of my money. I am going to submit a claim on Monday to the BBB. HOW HARD CAN IT BE

      Just ordered checks to access my accounts and received one book of checks, no check register, no cover. Vanguard unwilling to provide any solution.
      When combined with poor, slow customer service (which has recently been outsourced to Philippines) would suggest using a different financial company.

      I took out a loan from my 401k in early July, I have still not received the funds due to them being sent to the wrong bank account at USAA. The general service reps have been almost no help. I have been told a check was sent by 2 reps and others say no such check was ever processed. Today, I faxed a letter from my bank stating that they received the funds but they were deposited into another account it took talking to 3 different reps to even get a fax number. At the beginning I was told that “it should be fine” that my loan was sent to the wrong bank account because my name would have been in the comments of the transfer. I was told by another rep that a dispute process had been started, and the next rep told me there is no such process. I have asked multiple times to speak to a supervisor, been told they will contact you in 24 hours and no contact has ever been made. This needs to be made right, I am now out the money from my retirement, and paying back a loan that I never received.

      After 18 years of investing with this company, I switched jobs and started investing with a new company. I contacted Vanguard and told them what I needed and that I would no longer be investing with them. Vanguard sent me a lump sum check instead of separating the funds between the pre-tax and the post-tax and now my new financial institution can't accept the funds in that manner due to IRS reasons. Vanguard tells me that there is nothing that they can do about it and that it's now the problem of ne new financial institution. On top of everything, at least 80% of Vanguards staff is very rude and unprofessional. I have been dealing with this issue for 6 months now and have yet to have it resolved. I strongly urge you to refrain from investing in this company!!! They will take your $$$ and leave you hanging. DO NOT INVEST WITH THEM!!!

      Very poor customer service one day there good next day like today guess i woke him up said he works from home im not a rocket scientist on this stuff but he was totaly brain dead i know twice as much as him stayed on the phone for ever just peed me off worse trying to put funds into vanguard but have changed my mind going to pull my other stocks out. Vanguard used to be good but have had a terrible time

      I have called this business everyday for 5 days I have spoken to at least 12 different people none of whom gave me the same answer to my question. I have been trying to speak to someone to resolve my problem but keep being told that there is nothing I can do and no one I can speak with I just have to wait and hope I receive something in the mail soon. This is absolutely ridiculous and the worst customer service I have ever received. They are holding money and giving me no way to access it or allowing me to speak to anyone who can help.

      Vanguard is not the same great company I new and loved. I believe they have lost their way. Customer Service is so poor now you can't get straight answers. I've sent emails requesting information and received incorrect answers or no answers at all. I am considering moving all my assets to another brokerage firm.... I miss John B****
