Century has some of the best **************** agents I have ever dealt with. The Century Program, however, and the people who sale this program, are absolute garbage. They did not give all the details upfront, they did not disclose all the possible outcomes, all they did was prey on someone already in a difficult situation. If my credit were not already ruined, I would cancel this program. At this time, however, it does me no good to do so.I am homeless, and unable to rent any place due to my incredibly low credit score. They really need to explain that your accounts have to be at least 90 days past due before they can even begin the process and that you can expect a SERIOUS drop while they are negotiating. If I had know all the risks, I would NOT have placed my faith in this misleading and extremely dangerous program. I give them negative 10 stars.Century Support Services, LLC

******************, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience of your Century program. We are glad to hear you are happy with our **************** team, as we strive to provide every client with an excellent experience. Our Senior Customer Advocate, ******** is making attempts to reach you regarding some of the details you have mentioned in your review. We encourage you to connect with her so we can learn more about your enrollment experience & discuss that process with you in more detail. In your review you mention that all the details are not given upfront and that there is not disclosure on all possible outcomes. Prior to enrolling in your program, you are presented with the Client Retainer Agreement which outlines the terms of the program and services. Our mission is to help you resolve your debt in the shortest time possible and save you as much money as possible by negotiating favorable settlements on the balances owed. Debt resolution is suitable for people in a verifiable state of financial hardship that are unable to pay even the minimum monthly payments to their creditors without further financial hardship. On any program where debt settlement and negotiation are the basis of resolving your unsecured debt, successful programs will need your accounts to become past due. Most clients that are entering our program are already struggling to keep up with their debt to income ratio. Their monthly debts, high interest rates, late fees, etc. are keeping them from getting ahead. Our goal is to focus on negotiating new deals with your creditors for less than the balance you currently owe. You indicated in your hardship that you were overextended and overwhelmed with the debt balances. Your credit utilization was very high and your credit score on enrollment was very compromised. This plan is designed to help you reach better financial health and once you accomplish that goal then you can begin to focus on rebuilding your credit. At this time, you are 10 months into an estimated 34-month program in which we achieved 7 successful settlements on your behalf. 2 of those settlements are complete and 5 are in active structured term settlements. That is 60% of your enrolled debt resolved with a realized saving of $4,920. This is amazing success in a little over 1 year! Century typically contacts your creditors, once we are prepared to begin negotiations. The actual negotiation activity is typically very limited until you have saved up enough in your settlement account for us to make reasonable offers to your creditors. Settlements can happen at various times and will depend on several factors, including your monthly deposit amount, the number of creditors you have enrolled, and the balance of each individual account. There is a strategy that is part of your program on when to contact certain creditors to ensure the most savings for you. Contacting a creditor too soon could result in escalation of their collection workflow. We regret you are not satisfied with your program and the successful progress. We are looking forward to continuing your progress toward better financial health!Review fromJudy S.

I have been with Century over a year now. They have settled some debt and seem to be working on the others for me. I was approved for a loan with one of their partners last year to pay off the debt faster but Century was unable to finalize negotiations with my creditors in the two months that the loan company allotted. I had to wait 90 days to be approved for a loan again and this just happened last week. I am hoping that they can finalize the remaining creditors in time so everyone can be paid off. Also, two of my three personal loans ended up as lawsuits (which was very scary being served by the sheriff) but the Century Legal team did address each suit and we seem to be OK at this point. All of the customer service staff have been very professional and knowledgeable. I hope I can leave a final review in the near future stating that everything has been taken care of. I do recommend Century at this time.Century Support Services, LLC

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your Century program. Our records indicate that you were able to connect with your Senior Customer Advocate, ******, to discuss the concerns mentioned in your review potential along with potential next steps. We are sorry that our efforts to connect with you for an additional follow up have not been successful. We would like to address your comments, as they question the validity of this program being debt relief. Century was able to successfully negotiate favorable settlements on 4 of your 6 enrolled debts. This provided you with a realized savings of $16,236.75- that is amazing success for you to see only 9 months into your estimated 48 month program. Our mission is to help you resolve your debt in the shortest time possible and to save you as much money as possible by negotiating favorable settlements on the balances owed. We work with financially distressed consumers that are experiencing hardships that are creating a cycle where they are not able to keep up with the minimum monthly payments to their creditors. The earned settlement fees for our service are based on your enrolled debt. They are outlined in the Debt Settlement Agreement provided to you prior to executing the contract. This way you can see exactly what the program will cost. Those fees never increase. In fact, we do not earn a settlement fee until we do the work for our clients. This is how we show our value. When we successfully negotiate a settlement on our clients ************* accept the settlement and a first payment is initiated to the creditor, only then have we earned the right to collect the full earned settlement fee. While the amount of settlement fees (per account) is stated and agreed to in the Agreement, Century earns its fees (per account) only when: a settlement is reached with a clients creditor; the client approves of the settlement; and the clients creditor then receives a settlement payment toward such settlement. While Centurys fees are earned in full, per the terms above, and eligible to be collected in full, we will often voluntarily agrees to collect our earned settlement fees over several months in an effort to help a client take advantage of a settlement opportunity. This is what we did for you which allowed you to realize such early success. We regret that you still want to proceed with cancellation even after the successful work that we did and the value that you proved to you over the 4 negotiated settlements. As requested your program has been cancelled and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.Review fromSharon M.

I have been with Century for 1 year of the 5 1/2 I have with them. All my contact with Century has been with courteous, friendly, knowledgeable representatives. If you just look at their fees, it does seem expensive, but if you consider all the other options with your debt vs resources you have, it is a worthwhile and successful program. So, like anything else, one has to pay for a service and, very importantly, it takes the stress off of you legally, especially if you can get through the first year. I did have a law suit during the first year with one account. Century stepped in with one of their lawyers and handled for me. I was so appreciative as I would never have been able to hire a lawyer. I would recommend this company to anyone who can be realistic about their expectations, be patient and always communicate well with Century. The regular communication is vital, just like the instructions state when you first contract with them. I have had a '5 star' experience with them.Century Support Services, LLC

Century personnel is always very polite and professional. However, I do not believe they operate in your best interest. They instruct you not to communicate with the creditors and they will handle it all. The accounts end up in collections and some in LAWSUITS. This is where they tell you that you are pretty much on your own and for you to file a response with the court or add more funds so they can negotiate. At this point the settlement offers are terrible and with CENTURY's fee you end up paying close to the full amount. After over a year in the program, I am being served with court papers. I have not missed one payment to CENTURY and this is still going on. DO NOT USE THEM. Negotiate with the Creditors on your own and save yourself a lot money and aggravation.I truly believe they do not operate in your best interest.Century Support Services, LLC

Thank you for sharing your feedback ***. Our mission is to help you resolve your debt in the shortest time possible and save you as much money as possible by negotiating favorable settlements on the balances owed. We work with financially distressed consumers that are experiencing hardships that are creating a cycle where they are not able to keep up with the minimum monthly payments to their creditors. On any debt relief program where debt settlement and negotiation is the basis of resolving your unsecured debt, that program will need your accounts to become past due in order to be most successful. In some cases, enrolling clients are already behind on their monthly payments. We do not claim to prevent a creditor from escalated collection attempts. However, if a creditor takes legal action against a client, Century still attempts to work with that law firm to establish a favorable settlement, for the client. Century was able to successfully negotiate favorable settlements on 4 of your enrolled debts providing a realized savings of $3,600.00 at only 13 months into your program. While the amount of settlement fees (per account) is stated and agreed to in the Agreement, Century earns its fees (per account) only when: a settlement is reached with a clients creditor; the client approves of the settlement; and the clients creditor then receives a settlement payment toward such settlement. Centurys fees are earned in full, per the terms above, and eligible to be collected in full. However, we often voluntarily agree to collect earned settlement fees over several months in an effort to help clients take advantage of settlement opportunities. Century was able to do this for you which has helped your program success. We regret that you are not completely satisfied with the progress of your program or the value of the services we have provided. Your Senior Advocate, ***, has been reaching out to discuss the concerns mentioned in your review. We encourage you to speak with her to discuss the concerns you are having in more detail and allow her to review the progress of your account up to this point. So to be fair they did negotiate 1 of my debts and got a pretty good offer on a loan with a higher balance. Overall I wish i was still back to the s***** status quo before i signed on.However my main complaint is how they collect the fees they are entitled to. They essentially collect them in such a way that it locks all funds you're depositing into that account in such a way that any remaining debts will probably go to collections and beyond. They took everything in the escrow and then basically the remainder of my deposit minus the balance going towards their fee rather than building up any funds. They will claim they are operating ethically because they didn't collect it in full when they negotiated my debt. But they're not, because they're not working on actually negotiating debt in a way that will benefit the customer. They're trying to force the debt into collections. I think the goal is really to get you into that high interest loan after 6 months and if you choose not to take it or are not offered that loan opportunity you are probably screwed in actually getting your debt negotiated early in the program. I suspect without this your debt might not be settled for upwards of 2-3 years into the program. Which is not really what they promise in the marketing.I'm not sure how their math works out because i don't see how the monthly payment they quote you actually allows you to build up any negotiating leverage while paying off their fees at the same time to get your debt negotiated quickly early in the program. However even if i was pay X more, they probably would have taken that towards their fee anyways and not let that amount build up.Century Support Services, LLC

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience ******. One of our Senior Customer Advocates, ***, has been attempting to reach you to discuss the concerns you have mentioned in your review but she has not been successful in connecting with you. You mention your main concern is how Century collects the earned settlement fees. Prior to enrolling into your program, you are presented with a Debt Settlement Agreement which outlines the terms of your program. We are very transparent with the details of the program including the cost associated with this debt relief option. We encourage every client that is enrolling to read over the agreement fully prior to executing their agreement. This allows us to answer or clarify any section for which you have questions. The amount of earned settlement fees (per account) is stated and agreed to in the contract. The settlement fee is earned (per account) only when: (1) a settlement is reached with a clients creditor; (2) the client approves the settlement; and (3) the clients creditor receives the first payment toward such settlement. The settlement fees are earned in full, per the terms above, and are eligible to be collected in full. While Centurys fees are earned in full, Century sometimes voluntarily agrees to collect its earned settlement fees over several months in an effort to help clients take advantage of settlement opportunities. When you enrolled into this program, a strategic plan was created for you to meet your goals over an estimated time. Our goal is to address all of your enrolled accounts over the length of your program. Settlements can happen at various times and will depend on several factors, including your monthly deposit amount, the number of creditors you have enrolled, and the balance of each individual account. Century was able to negotiate a 40% settlement on one of your largest accounts your 3rd month on the program. This settlement provided you with a realized saving of $8,700.00. We regret that you were not completely satisfied with the progress of your program or the value of the services we provided. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.Review fromJanet R
