Not good Business practice. It is taking too long to settle my final account. This is a gimmick this company is not helping customers. Every month I get a different date my loan will be paid off. I will never use this company again and it leaves me an uneasy feeling. Something does not smell good about this company.Century Support Services, LLC

******, We regret you are feeling this way about your Century experience, especially since we have been able to prove the value of our services to you since your enrollment. At just one month into your program, we successfully negotiated a first settlement & have been successful in settling the remaining debt on your account. A key factor in the success of this program & remaining on course is your ability to make consistent monthly deposits. When you enrolled into your program, the customized ************** estimate that was created for you was based on your ability to deposit monthly. Our records indicate there have been several times over the course of your program where your monthly deposit did not clear. When that occurs, it can extend the time to reach completion. You are currently in a structured settlement on your final account ************* that has payments scheduled through November 26, 2024. As long as your monthly program deposits continue as scheduled & clear, your final program deposit will be November 15, 2024. Once the final settlement payment is initiated to ************ your program will be submitted for completion. Century renegotiated this 53% settlement with *********** in the amount of $9,333.47. To date, a total of $6,265.00 has been paid towards the settlement, leaving a remaining balance of $3,068.47. With the funds in your dedicated reserve account of $2,149.85, you still need to deposit monthly for October and November in order to fully satisfy this agreement. In your review, you state that Century is a gimmick company. That is an inaccurate and unfair description of Century, given the realized savings we have helped you achieve. On the *********** account alone, we negotiated a structured settlement that helped you realized around $2,900 in savings. Century has been in business for over 20 years with an A+ rating with ************************** clients have rated us a 4.8/5 satisfaction on Trust Pilot and Consumer Affairs. Throughout this journey, Century provided you services in line with our contractual obligation. Our Customer Advocate Manager is making attempts to connect with you, as we would like the opportunity to further discuss the concerns you are having.Review fromAlexis S

This company is a complete and total scam. They promised that they would work to alleviate my debt. Instead all that they have done is make me insanely late on all of my credit cards and lower my credit score by over 250 points. They have worked on ONE account out of thirteen and did not plan on touching any of the other accounts until 2 years after starting the first account. The only thing that they did was accept an offer that the company already extended to me, but they are charging me 29% of the settlement amount for them to simply take the money out of my account and put it into an account that they created for me (and charging me $10 a month for that account) and then paying it to the account that they "settled". I was advised by them upon signing up that none of the fees were going to come out of my payments until they settled all of my debt, then I would pay their fees. I was advised that I should not continue to pay any of the accounts that they have on their roster at all. I have been met with nothing but sarcastic and rude customer support every time I have contacted the company. I asked to cancel my account and they informed me that they would do so, but never sent documentation. I called today and spoke with "D", who was also nasty and sarcastic, talking to me like I had all of two brain cells, and informing me that my account was cancelled, but all of my information is still up in their system as though the account is active, which it still is. They have one account that they are collecting more than half of the settlement for as fees. Everything else should have been removed as I requested. Documentation of these steps should have been provided. This company is not trust worthy. They are not upfront about their practices. The customer support team is rude and uncouth. I do not recommend and will shout that from every platform. I wish I had read ALL of the reviews before attempting to work with this company.Century Support Services, LLC

******, Thank you for taking the time to speak with our Senior Advocate Manager to further discuss your experience with Century. As ****** explained, the reputation of our brand & the quality of the service that we deliver is a top focus for us. We strive to deliver an excellent customer experience to each client and regret you are feeling we missed the ***** In your review, you mention that our company is not upfront & we have some concern with that statement. Prior to enrolling into your program, you were presented with your Client Retainer Agreement which outlines the program in detail, as well as the cost. Century doesnt earn a fee until we do the work for the client. We only earn the right to collect our settlement fee when we successfully negotiate a settlement with one of your enrolled creditors, you accept that settlement and a first payment is initiated to the creditor. That means Century shows you the value before you pay for the service. In addition, Century may voluntarily offer to collect our fee over time in order to allow a client to take advantage of a settlement opportunity. Our mission is to help you resolve your debt in the shortest time possible and save you as much money as possible by negotiating favorable settlements on the total balance owed, at the time of the settlement, including any interest and fees that may have been assessed. When you enrolled into your program a customized plan was created for you to address all of your enrolled debts over an estimated time frame. Per your retainer agreement, your program is estimated at 48 months. This was based on the amount of debt you enrolled and the amount you are able to deposit monthly into your program. You also mentioned that the offer Century negotiated was the same offer extended to you, directly from the creditor. In most cases, Century is able to negotiate and obtain a better offer. We may negotiated a longer structured term or achieve a better savings percentage on the settlement. Century has over 20 years of built relationships with creditors and we are settling thousands of accounts with that bank as opposed to a consumer calling on their single debt. While negotiating is a part of the services provided, Century also is ensuring the settlement payments are being sent on time & according to the written agreement. We verify that the creditor is cashing the payments & make sure the documentation from the creditor is received to secure the settlement terms. The settlement with your ****************** account was structured to be paid over 24 months. While the settlement fee was earned in full as stated above, Century elected to spread the collection of our earned fees over time to allow you the opportunity to take advantage of the settlement offer achieved. The monthly deposit you make is currently being used to pay the creditor as agreed and towards the collection of Centurys earned settlement fee. We have updated your program to reflect pending cancellation. This allows your dedicated special account with the 3rd party payment processor ********************************* (CFT) to remain open so your monthly deposits can process. This is extremely important to ensure your settlement stays active and payments to your creditor can be initiated. In response to your request that we delete all your information, Century has a records retention policy that governs the information that we are legally obligated to keep on file for banking & regulatory audit compliance. We truly regret your decision to cancel your program once your active settlement is complete. Our Customer Advocate Manager is reaching out to go over the next steps needed to finalize the cancellation of your program.Review fromMichael W

If I could give a zero rating I would. This company is nothing but a straight up scam. I spoke with their representative ***** ***** on the phone and he made it sound like I was signing up for a debt consolidation loan. That was a lie. Instead the program takes out a set amount of money every month from my checking account and uses that to pay off my creditors in monthly payments instead one lump sum. So far they have split up that monthly payment to three creditors out of 11. So now every time a new settlement is reached, Century Support Services wants me to give them extra money on top of the monthly amount they already are taking out of my checking account. As you can easily figure out, I'm already in dire straights with my finances and can barely afford to make that monthly payment. Then they have the nerve to ask for more? Please don't give this company your business. Find a debt consolidation company who will give an actual loan so when they settle with your creditor, the creditor gets paid in one lump sum, not monthly payments from this crooked company. Century Support Services are run by horrible people.Century Support Services, LLC

Century values all feedback and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. A member of our Customer Advocate Team, *****, has made several attempts to connect with you to further discuss the concerns you have mentioned in your review. Your description of our services & how this debt relief program works are not accurate & we welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to clear up this gap in communication regarding the expectations of your program. After speaking with a Certified Debt Specialist and prior to enrolling in this program, all clients are presented with a Century Debt Settlement Agreement (contract), which outlines very transparently the terms of the program so that you have a chance to review the program expectations prior to getting started. In addition, newly enrolled clients are transferred to one of our Onboarding Specialist to complete a live Welcome Call via telephone to finalize the enrollment process. The purpose of the Welcome Call is to provide new clients with clear expectations for a successful program, review important next steps and review the information listed in the contract for accuracy. You completed your live Welcome Call on 4/2/2024 with **** & discussed the 3 keys to a successful program, confirmed the estimated program length of 48 months, reviewed your monthly deposit amount, deposit frequency, the debts you enrolled on the program & next steps on this debt relief program. Prior to enrolling, many of our clients research several debt relief options that will provide them with one affordable lower monthly payment & often that includes some kind of loan option that they did not qualify to receive. This program is not a loan. Century's debt settlement program offers a strategic plan over an estimated timeframe for clients to resolve their enrolled unsecured debts. Our goal is to address all of your enrolled accounts over the length of your program by negotiating with your creditors for a resolution of less than the full balance. This resolution is called a settlement. Settlements can happen at various times and will depend on several factors, including your monthly deposit amount, the number of creditors you have enrolled, and the balance of each individual account. At this time, you are 5 months into your estimated 48 month program with 3 of your 11 enrolled debts successfully negotiated. We achieved your first settlement at just 3 weeks into your program. To date, you have a realized savings of $2,154.00. This is amazing success! Century was able to negotiate with your creditors to structure the payments on these settlements over several months, as you did not yet have all the funds available to make lump sum payments. Additional funds are not a requirement of the program. From previous client feedback, anytime we negotiate an offer where additional funds are needed, our clients have indicated they would like to be presented with the information so they can stay in control of making informed decisions. This is why Century has been reaching out to review the offers from your other creditors. We can notate your account that you would rather not be asked for additional funds. Our goal is never to cause you further frustration about your financial hardship. We regret that you are not seeing satisfaction in the results provided to you. Century is absolutely not a scam. We have an A+ rating with ************************** clients have rated us 4.9/5 satisfaction on Trust Pilot and Consumer Affairs, in their own words. We encourage you to please return *****'s calls so we can review your program & review the successful results you are already experiencing.Review fromStephanie S

I tried to call and no one called me back when I said I was wanting to stop using them. The sales guy-won't use his name was talking about how he has had to use them 2 times because of "life". ******************, We regret that you are not satisfied with the progress on your debt settlement program. Our Customer Advocates have been attempting to connect with you for several days. The program estimates and monthly deposit amount was tailored for you based on your specific debt obligations, income & monthly discretionary income. This provided you with a strategy & plan estimated for 48 months, according to the Debt Settlement Agreement that you executed on May 24th, 2024.We would like to provide clarification regarding our offered services. Centurys debt settlement program is suitable for people in a verifiable state of financial hardship that are unable to pay even the minimum monthly payments to their creditors without further financial hardship. On any program where debt settlement and negotiation are the basis of resolving your unsecured debt, successful programs will need your accounts to become past due. Most clients that are entering our program are already struggling to keep up with their debt to income ratio. Their monthly debts, high interest rates, late fees, etc. are keeping them from getting ahead. Our goal is to focus on negotiating new deals with your creditors for less than the balance you currently owe. This plan is designed to help you reach better financial health. You are correct that Century has not yet reached out to all of your creditors. Century typically contacts your creditors, once we are prepared to begin negotiations. The actual negotiation activity is typically limited until you have saved up enough in your special purpose account for us to make reasonable offers to your creditors. Settlements can happen at various times and will depend on several factors, including your monthly deposit amount, the number of creditors you have enrolled, and the balance of each individual account. There is a strategy for contacting your creditors. Not only do we want to achieve the best savings for you, but contacting a creditor before you have the funds to negotiate could result in escalation of their collection workflow. We are very transparent with our estimates & milestone expectations, as this partnership is more effective with both parties are openly communicating. Of the clients that enrolled in 2023 & completed their first full program deposit, 34% of clients achieved a first settlement by the end of their first month. Over 73% saw their first settlement by the end of their 3rd month & over 85% saw their first settlement by the end of their 6th month, on the program. The variables that can matter in how you compare to those statistics include your specific hardship, details of your payment history with each your enrolled creditors and your ability to build funds into your special purpose account. Your program is exactly on track for less than 2 months from your first full monthly program deposit & we absolutely believe that Century can assist you in achieving your goals. We encourage you to connect with our Advocate so we can discuss your program further.Review fromBruce H

You are correct that on any program where debt settlement and negotiation are the basis of resolving your unsecured debt, that successful programs will need your accounts to become past due. ******, We value all feedback and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with our Senior Customer Advocate, ********. At 5 months into your estimated 36-month program, you have already experienced realized savings, as Century was successful in negotiating a favorable settlement on your largest enrolled debt account within the first month of your enrollment. As a success-based company we do not earn a fee until we show you value. Once we negotiate with your creditor, you approve the settlement & the first payment is sent, only then have we earned our full settlement fee. To allow you to take advantage of the settlement opportunity presented to you, Century spread the collection of the earned fee over 6 months. When you enrolled in your program, a customized plan was created to for you to resolve your unsecured debts over your estimated program length. Settlements can happen at various times and depend on the a few factors, including the amount of funds built in your dedicated reserve account, your monthly deposit amount, the number of creditors you have enrolled & balance of each individual account. There is a strategy in reaching out to creditors for the best time to settle. We have over 20 years experience and have built strong relationships with creditors over that time. Your program is on track for continued success and you have made great progress to date.Thank you again for your feedback and taking the time to connect with ********. I was told the process to cancel takes a day. It's been more than a day. I was told I would receive a call because their senior agents are busy. The call I never got was an email. So I called and got put on hold. I got told again senior agents were busy. I sent a signed cancellation request to the email listed on the form and that was the wrong email. I knew it was going to be a long drawn out process like trying to cancel Sirius XM. For a business to play a game and with people's time, it's absolutely ridiculous. I'm quite sure some of these reviews are fake and produced by this company. Even in the responses here, there are lies being told. The business profile says the company started in 2012 and a response said they had 20 years of experience. My customer profile said I lost my job, but how would I pay this company with no job? I don't even know how this business is accredited by BBB. Snake in the grass company.Century Support Services, LLC

********************, thank you for taking time to speak directly with our Senior Customer Advocate Manager, ******, to discuss the concerns mentioned in your review. As ****** explained, you have the right to cancel your program, at any time. Our records indicate your request to cancel was received on 07/03/2024. At that time, your scheduled program deposit was stopped to allow our team time to connect with you to further understand your decision to cancel, as you are brand new to the program. Our goal is to help our clients achieve better financial health. A customized plan was created when you enrolled so we always want to understand what has changed, when a client is requesting to cancel the program. Our office was closed on July 4th in observance of the holiday; however, our Advocate team attempted to reach you unsuccessfully via ************* at the appointment time you requested for 07/05/2024. Your file was submitted for cancellation upon receipt of your final 7/5/24 email. Your mention several items in your review and follow up email that we would like to personally address, as your comments are not accurate to our business operations and practice. First, you stated that our online reviews are fake and produced by the company and that statement is inaccurate. Feedback directly from the voice of our consumers is very valuable to our company & as an accredited member of both the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the ******************** for Debt Relief (AADR), we are required to meet specific compliance and ethics criteria in order to maintain that accreditation status. The BBB reviews each submission for authenticity and validates all email addresses and phone numbers of reviewers to ensure they are client driven. As to our tenure as a company, we have been in business offering debt settlement services since 2003 and rebranded our name to Century Support Services in 2012. Second, you stated that you were told by one of your creditors, Avant, that they do not negotiate to settle accounts with **********************. That statement is inaccurate, as we have settlement trends completed with Avant. Creditors do change their settlement policies frequently & we work directly with them to meet their requirement for negotiations. Century has historical data to support our business practices and during our underwriting process, we ensure that only accounts for which we can successfully negotiate a settlement are enrolled on the program. We regret if there was a communication gap with your Certified Debt Specialist during your enrollment process. The Century debt settlement program is a hardship program for clients that are financially distressed, and our goal is to help clients resolved their unsecured debts by negotiating favorable settlements for less than the full balance of the enrolled debt. Understanding the clients financial hardship and the reasons for seeking debt relief is important to the strategy of this journey & the need to accurately capture that reason is important. . Thank you for taking the time to connect with ****** to further discuss your concerns. We regret that you no longer feel this program is the best path for resolving your debt and wish you the best.Review fromHelen H

Not Happy with the process or results. Too long to settle and no open communication throughout the process. You must follow what is going on in the portal. Plus the fees are ridiculous. You may as well pay your cards on time because the cost of the settlement is just as much as it wouldve cost to pay the card at $600 a month. For nearly 2 years. Had to drop some of the accounts from the program. Not happy at all.Century Support Services, LLC

*****,We thank you for taking the time to connect with a member of our Advocate Team, ****, to review the concerns you have mentioned. Prior to enrolling in your program, you were presented with a Century Debt Settlement Agreement that outlines your program and cost in detail. The earned settlement fee for each account is based on the balance at the time of enrollment and does not change. This not only allows you to know the cost of your program prior to enrollment but it also can give you assurance that there is no benefit in Century delaying going to work for you. Century does not earn a settlement fee until we do the work. This is how we show our value. When we successfully negotiate a settlement on your behalf, you accept the settlement and a first payment is initiated to your creditor, only then have we earned the right to collect the full earned settlement fee.For over 20 years, our skilled team of negotiators has built relationships with creditors and works to identify the most strategic time to initiate a settlement. Settlements can happen at various times and will depend on several factors, including your monthly deposit amount, the number of creditors you have enrolled & the balance of each individual account. ********************** was able to negotiate a 50% settlement on one of your accounts during your first 60 days on the program. That amazing success also provided you with a realized saving of $1,774.00. Our records indicate that once your final payment on your structured settlement is complete, the cancellation of your program will be finalized. We regret that you are not satisfied with the success of your program and wish you the best in your future endeavors.
