    I am writing to complain about the slowness of the process for obtaining my CES from the CGFNS. I am a Brazilian nurse in the process of validating my degree in the USA. In December 2022, I purchased the CES issuance service and subsequently sent the requested documents. The process of confirming receipt of documents took approximately one month. After a period of 1 month, it took 3 months to issue an opinion on the status of my application, which was only responded to after a previous complaint on the same website (BBB). The response was days after my complaint, that the CGFNS answer was waiting for the authentication of the university's signatures, requested by email. After almost another 3 months, faced with a communication failure between the CGFNS and my university, I managed to get the college to respond to the CGFNS request, and the email was responded to on (07/13/23), which CGFN claimed had not been received. Faced with this impasse, I requested that the university send the physical document via *** service, which was received at CGFNS on 08/14/23. Until today (09/12//2023) the receipt status has not been updated on the CGFNS website even after telephone contact. I request action to complete the issuance of my letter considering that the delay in the effectiveness of the actions has compromised my process as well as the impact on the US health service due to the shortage of professionals, considering the CGFNS responsible for allowing validation, hopefully greater speed in actions.

    I purchase their product for CVS (credential verification services) for New York State dated July 27, 2023 with a total amount of 400$. I chose their services as I have previously underwent Visa Screen under their management which requires my school and professional credentials. Due to the privilege of esaved wherein my credentials are locked up for a certain period and those documents were already reviewed and verified, I did not hesitate to purchase that said product (CVS) to ease the burden of resubmitting those credentials to New York State because of time consuming and sometimes more difficult to apply as I am working overseas. Upon purchasing and completing other document, the status of my credentials immediately reflected as "received" and "ready for review". I was initially delighted with the fact that I will just wait until they submit my credentials. Time goes by, almost 2 months has passed, still there was no movement on my status. This experience creates a dismay and inconvenience on my part especially I paid a costly amount from my hard earned money. I hope they find a resolution for this in a fairly time manner.

    I'm writing in regard to my client's application (ID #:******************************* is asking him to pay $100 for them to send his ***** score to ******** Board of Nursing. ***** sends the score to the board at no extra charge. According to ******** Board of Nursing website this is what it states:******** BOARD APPLICATION Complete and mail in application and fee CREDENTIALS EVALUATION SERVICE APPLICATION Complete on-line application and fee to CGFNS Complete and mail Request for Academic Records to your school of nursing. Complete and mail Request for Validation of Registration to your licensing agency When the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools receive all three required applications, they will complete the report and mail it to the ******** Board of Nursing. ORAL ENGLISH TEST Take either the ***** *** or the ****** Have scores sent to the ******** Board of Nursing A score of 26 is passing on the ***** ***. The Board accepts the ***** if administered on October 01, 2005, or later. A score of 7 on speaking, 6 on all other modules, and 6.5 overall is passing on the ***** This is copied from their website. It does not say the score first be sent to CGFNS or must be sent to the board of nursing from them (CGFNS). Furthermore, CGFNS never informed us of this extra cost when we signed up with them. I feel this is predatory and unfair practice.

    Please note that CGFNS is still awaiting documentation that the applicant has passed the NCLEX-RN examination.  The applicant has contacted CGFNS and indicated that the transcripts from ***** ***** University were received on September 4, 2023.  The applicant has been informed that it can take up to 25 business days for documents to be processed and appear on her account.  Once CGFNS processes the transcripts, the applicant's file will become ready-for-review.   After the file becomes ready-for-review, the general timeframe for the file to be reviewed by an evaluator is 2-4 weeks.  If the evaluator determines that the applicant’s credentials meet the Department of Homeland Security’s requirements, a Visa Screen® certificate will be issued.

    Hello,My name is ************************* *********************************** and I hired the company CGFNS to do the revaluation of my Brazilian Nursing degree in the United States on November 07, 2022. My CGFNS ID is: *******. I paid the CES issuance service fee ($550- Order Number: *******) and all documents were sent to the CGFNS as requested by the CGFNS. The documents were shipped from Brazil and arrived at the CGFNS in April 2023. I received an email from the CGFNS confirming receipt of the documents and the change of status of my order to "Ready for Review", and I paid $400 for the Expedite Review, to analyze my documents in 10 days. This fee was paid in August 11, 2023. After I paid the Expedite Review, my University received an email informing the need to authenticate my documents. The e-mail was sent to [email protected] and the document was sent by MAIL. Both responses were ignored. I have been waiting for them to issue my CES for weeks, but no response. CGFNS is the worst company I have ever hired. Customer service is horrible. They never answer emails, never meet deadlines, and have the most expensive service in the United States for this purpose. I would like the BBB to help me resolve this case.

    The details for my school requirement does not expire.If CGFNS have updated the form, it is not my file that is outdated.It is senseless to have this requirement revalidated just because CGFNS forms has new version.I also have visa screen certification which states that I have met the requirements for the same school documents on February 2019.I can understand if it is a license that expires which needs to be revalidated using their new form but this requirement is from the school which I graduated and details will not change at all.Details will always be the same as it was with the one they have on file.

    Please note that CGFNS revised the Request for Academic Records/Transcripts form to meet the requirements of the state boards of nursing. Therefore, CGFNS cannot use the Request for Academic Records/Transcripts form that was received in 2016. For the Credentials Evaluation Service, CGFNS issues an actual report to the recipient state board of nursing, and the documents included in the report must comply with their requirements. Once the Request for Academic Records/Transcripts form is received from the applicants school,the evaluator will review it and determine if the applicants credentials meet the recipients requirements for the Credentials Evaluation Service.  If the evaluator determines that the applicants credentials meet the recipients requirements, the CES report will be issued.
