I bought (2) $100 gift cards atRite Aid in West Deptford, NJ (1000 Kings Highway, phone ###-###-####) on 12-14/2023 as Xmas gifts. When recipients opened the cards they were compromised and funds had been removed from cards…****** acknowledged funds were loaded into a fraudulent account and cancelled that account. I called Rite Aid regarding the problem with the cards…they asked when they were purchased and told me their fraud/risk management team was at their store 12/13 (day before purchase) to inspect and remove compromised ****** and ***** gift cards from the sales display (they knew there was a problem). The local Rote Aid was of no help….I called Rite Aid corporate customer service (###-###-####) for further assistance on multiple occasions…they opened two cases…******** at the store level…store manager called me and said we need to work with ****** for a refund. ****** was no help and said Rire aid is responsible. I then contacted Rite Aid corporate customer service again (1/18/2024) and they opened case ******** at the District Manger level. DM never contacted me so I called corporate again today (1/30/2024) and the rep told me the case was closed and Rite Aid will not refund us…I asked if they could at least coordinate a meeting with me, Rite Aid, and ****** to discuss a reasonable resolution…answer was no..case is closed. I’m now at a road block with both corporations. I personally feel Rite Aid as the seller needs to refund me, resolve with ******, or refund me then fight ****** to recover their loss. I have an epileptic dog and this location has a pharmacist named **************** who was rude over phone after I had been on hold for over an hour and a half before getting a live person. This location has sold me the medication phenobarbital and accepted ****** discount in past. This time with me being frustrated over phone (calling my vet many times and pharmacies near me trying to get an affordable price for this medication), I was denied the use of the ****** and the pharmacist claimed it was due to phenobarbital being a controlled substance. He just chose to not accept and charge me a price I could not afford due to wanting to hurt me. This puts my pet at risk of seizure having to go cold turkey as I explained very stern which is why the denial of ****** happened in the first place. I do not believe a pharmacist that petty should be in business. I have called to complain to rite aid customer service. They said they would file it, but they never took my info down so I'm sure nothing will be done on their end. This is a discrimination to those financial low on income. I dare even say racial since this seems like an attack by **** against ***** based on last names. Why would a ****** coupon be accepted one time only to follow up with basically 'I don't feel like it' and 'I don't like you' so now I'm going to let you suffer? I want this petty pharmacist to honor the ****** coupon like he did in past and stop this inconsiderate practice.Business Response

I have 3 open complaints with ** Department of Health against pharmacists *********** ***** ********(************ ** license# ********), *** *******(###-###-####), and ***** ****** all affiliated with Rite Aid *** ******** Shopping Center, Longview, WA. I was diagnosed in 2011 with ADHD by my psychiatrist, **** ******. After her DX, In 2012 I switched to a primary care provider from *********** ****** ****. On 10/17/2023 I saw my medical care provider ****** ******** for a physical exam as required every 3 months to refill my medications to treat for ADHD. 10/23/23, I called Rite Aid ******** ****** and spoke with *****, a pharmacy tech. She relayed the following information from the pharmacist working that day, ***** ******(** license ********), they were not filling controlled RX's for ANY of the licensed providers affiliated with *********** ****** **** as Dr. ***********(whom I HAVE NEVER been a patient of)was overprescribing controlled substances. I asked for the DEA or ** Dept of Health case number or agent working the case. *****, on behalf of *** ****** said to their knowledge none existed. This per ***** as directed by *** ******, "was a corporate decision". *** ****** told me via ***** that I needed to find another PCP. I contacted Rita Aid corporation the same day and filed a complaint with *****, case #********. I was VERY clear with ***** to have someone who could make decisions call me back. I SPECIFICALLY stated DO NOT have anyone from the local branches call me as this was a corporate matter. 10/24/23 6:42 PM *** ****** called me back from Rite Aid ******** ******. *** told me I would need to find another PCP. Even though my provider(nor any other PCP) was not overprescribing.I found out he was a local pharmacist with no ability to resolve the issue, I ended the call. 10/26/23 I called Rite Aid Corporate spoke with *****, advised her this must go up the food chain, do not send another "man child" to do corporate's job. Case # ******** Order Details: Order #********* Placed on Dec 28, 2023, 7:07:02 AM ***************************************************** ********************************************************************* ***************************************************** ***************************************************** ***************************************************** I emailed [email protected] the photos of what my building looks like and a police report, On Jan 3rd, 2024 and Jan 8th, 2024 and once more resent the emails on 1/17/2024. ***** tracking number shows a photo of a delivery to another building up the street, by the time I got there the packages were gone and missing from that building. The packages were mis delivered to the incorrect building. Here's what it looks like when its delivered correctly to the right building: As you can see the ***** delivery location and my building look completely apart in what its to look like for a delivery. Allow me a notice once you receive this so that I know it went through well and if you need any additional documents such as a police report (which I can spend 3 hours going back and forth from the precinct if need be) then also lmk. Rite Aid is committing Federal Consumer Protection, Consumer Protection, A Breach of trust, Willful Negligence, violating NY State Business Laws. Rite Aid asked I file a dispute with my bank however since I paid with a debit card that will take 6 to 7 months for me to get my funds back that rite aid can just refund now, my bank doesn't do provisional credits so I wouldn't have access to the funds while the bank investigates the matter and it will take until July or August 2024 for me to have access to my funds. That is blatant disrespect and fraud. I study law, I would like for you to refund at immediate as I have provided beyond the necessary threshold to prove that I did not get my items and have a police report to go alongside with it. My package was not stolen, it was misdelivered to an entire different building! The photo evidence clearly shows you mis delivered to another building as what ***** uploaded in their photos does not match with what my building looks like. Just because ***** uploaded photos of delivery location does not meant that the delivered to the correct building! I've sent over 10 images that confirm that the building in the ***** photos are not the same building I put the address to. I also uploaded a police report that confirms you delivered to the wrong address. What you are saying is a lie and does not match the information given by ***** photos. The photos ***** uploaded is of a different building than where I reside. You can not collect on a mis delivery. That is consumer fraud, federal consumer fraud, defrauding a consumer, wire fraud and just blatant fraud.
So even though rite aid might have done their part to provide ***** the correct address it means nothing when ***** delivered to wrong address and uploaded proof of the wrong address delivery in their photos. Look at the photos I sent and look at the photos on the ***** tracking, even a blind man can see the difference between the 2 buildings.
Otherwise any online merchant can ship any item to any random address and collect on even non deliveries ort mis deliveries. To collect on a delivery you have to send it to the correct address and in this case it was not. The evidence from the ***** photos shows a wrongful delivery to the wrong address and you can not lawfully collect funds on that., that is a breach of contract amongst other illegal violations.
It takes you seconds to take my funds from my account but when its time for a refund it takes you all this of a mess why? You are clearly in the wrong here and whether you want to admit it or not up to you. There are laws in place to prevent predatory companies like you from taking advantage of consumers and you are thwarting such laws.
Refund the transaction at immediate as you have the option to refund, my bank's dispute process will take 6 to 7 months to process a chargeback and I shouldn't have to when you have the choice to refund and the packages were not delivered to the correct address.

Purchase was made 12/14/2023. Purched two $100.00 ****** gift cards. Went back on 12/31/2023 to exchange one card because it was damaged. I had card, recept, card I used to purchase with and photo id. The cashier was very rude both of them they wouldn't even listen to what I had to say and when I asked for their name they said that they weren't allowed to give me. They treated me as if I was a thief. And I had my grandchildren with me. The only thing I wanted to do was exchange the card for another. I go to that store because it is the neighborhood store and I support them. However I will never step foot inside there again. They need new employees.Business Response

I requested an Rx refill for my prescription on Dec 4, 2023 on riteaid.com. I have requested refill for the same prescription on Rite-Aid's website previously without any issue. However, for this most recent refill, I did not receive any notification that my refill is ready. I then checked the refill confirmation email, and noticed that, instead of the Rite-Aid store at 98034 I chose, the refill was sent to "Rite Aid Store ****, Redmond, WA *****". I searched online and could not even find the Rite Aid store #****, and after some research, it turns out store #**** is a ******* Drugs store acquired by Rite Aid in recent years. After all the hassle, I went to the store on Dec 13 and check on the status of my refill, and only was told the refill request was not in the system, and my prescription expired on Dec 13 and they could not do anything for me. It is Rite Aid's fault that they did not fulfill my Rx refill request, which was sent in more than a week before the prescription expiration date. I would like to request compensation for the additional time and driving I did on researching this issue, and inconvenience on requesting another prescription from my doctor. Also, I would like Rite Aid to completely delete my Rite Aid account and any associated information, and stop sending any emails not related to Rite Aid transactions to my email address. I keep getting Rite Aid rewards and health info emails daily, even though I checked my account is unsubscribed from those type of emails. I also tried the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of those spam emails for weeks, however, I keep getting this message: "You are currently not subscribed to Rite Aid Reward communications emails. If you have recently unsubscribed, please allow 48 hours for your request to be processed."Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The local ******* Drugs pharmacy contacted me today on Jan 8, however, the issue I am complaining (mis-directed *online* Rx refill request got stuck in the backend and not being processed) is not specific to the local pharmacy, but caused by the Rite-Aid corporate and its IT / website system. I am expecting response and compensation on the time I lost on this issue from the Rite-Aid corporate level, and no further compensation is available from the local pharmacy.

Would not replace ******* injection pen on Christmas Eve. Really no medicine doc office closed. Pen was not working. Brought back to pharmacy and was told to call company. Excuse me!!!! My sugar levels were high and no injection for it. I was told to pay $800 dollars or wait to speak to company. XXXX u!! U should have a replacement policy and pens if needed. I have had the worst experience with Rite Aid. My original pharmacy closed down and transferred all prescriptions to Rite Aid. That was not even close to my house. I have been in a severe accident about a year ago where I take medication to offset my pain from the injuries. The Rite Aid and *********** on *********** refuse to answer their phones for a week I’ve called the Rite Aid. I’ve even called the store and had someone walk to the pharmacy so they can pick up the phone. I have contacted the Customer Care department and asked to speak to the district manager. They told me 24 hours for one of the Rite Aid and 48 hours for the other and I have not received neither call from no manager. I had to actually walk 4 miles to the Rite Aid that my medicine was at because they did not answer the phone. They tried to tell me that their phone lines were down for two days well what about the other four because I’ve been calling for six days straight all day. Then when I went to the Rite Aid after having to walk there one of my prescriptions were put back because it took me a long time to come up there to pick it up and I let them know I’ve been calling for the last week for my medication and no one picked up the phone. The pharmacist was rude. This is unacceptable for a business. As a customer, I cannot in good faith referred anyone to this Rite Aid, or even the Rite Aid chain. I am very disappointed in how I was treated. I was told if I wanted to get my prescriptions I was supposed to go on the website, my question is how do I know that it is not like I chose Rite Aid my pharmacy closed and sent my prescriptions there the least they could’ve done was answer the phone to explain this to me. The other pharmacy that I had a problem with was the Rite Aid on Main Street who offered no assistance to me whatsoever did call me back to get my prescriptions corrected.Business Response

I keep using the pharmacy delivery system that is not working I'm not getting my medicine on time I'm having health concerns. This is a software delivery system problem Rite Aid ******************** *****. I am disabled and have many health concerns and I need my medicine when it says it's going to be delivered!
