1 starI am a previous resident of this company and I have been trying to reach them to settle an outstanding bill that I have with them because it is preventing me from moving into a new apartment. I have called 20+ times to each one of their offices to try and handle this matter and all I am receiving on the line is that they cannot take my call right now to leave my name and number and that they will get back to me. This is a very serious matter to me and I would like it handled as soon as possible.Review fromBruce E

1 starMorally corrupt and unethical business practices. It shouldnt take you by surprise that you will see totally unrelated charges on your bill once you move into this lovely community. Additionally, do not expect them to come in and fix any damaged/out of service appliances because theyll say that will send someone but theyll NEVER COME! When inquired about it theyll mention that you never spoke to them about it! This happened multiple times when we asked them to fix the fireplace which they never did within the 2 years of our stay. When it comes to inquiring about charges, I NEVER received answers from their accountant.Review fromKen D

Another ******** Communications have gone back into the sewers. Management has opted to ignore any sound complaint email sent over this past weekend (12/15/23-12/17/23). Where I am sure they will say "But you need to contact local PD.' Well I've done that and all they can do is about all you and your team do. Tell the people to quiet down and chill on the booze in public. This has been going on for over six months now. I don't think "quiet down and chill on the booze" is working. Can I get *****, ******, or this ****** whom everyone rants and raves is so amazing to reach out about this? If you can't contact me by phone I know my roommates works just fine.Edit Update: From the last update/edit communications have gotten leagues better from management. That said it took five and a half months to get an exterminator into my apartment to spray for roaches. ***** with the management team was more than amazing and kind on this and made sure the appointment was set up. The only "issue" was we received no heads up when the exterminator was going to be here so we were unable to prep for a full spray of the afflicted area. The exterminator was able to spray around a majority of the area with minimal prep thankfully. The only other concerns had that will change my rating are still ongoing from time to time.I have the full review on ****** as wellIndependence Realty Trust, Inc

1 starMy husband and I lived in these apart for 5 years. We were ALWAYS great tenants, in good standing. Earlier this year we started to have problems with a man that lived in another building. I did not feel safe in my apartment, much less walking around with my , and I carried mace everywhere I went. I informed the office staff the first time we encountered this person and was told it would be taken care of. Nothing was done and his anger continued to build, this man was TOTALLY off his rocker, until he threatened to KILL my husband. We called the police, got a police report, and again informed the office. We were told the man would have to leave. He never did. The police told us they knew this man and had previous run ins with him. We ended up having to break our lease and move because we felt so unsafe. We informed the office over a month prior to our leaving. The apartment was totally empty and cleaned. We paid over $600 because we moved out on the 5th of July. We paid for rent and services for those days. I spoke with the higher ups (Lynn Mauldin) andd gave her all of the documentation of the police report. After that point, she wouldn’t return any calls or emails from me. She turned over a balance to collects, of over $3000, the amount of time it took them to rent our apartment. My husbands life was threatened. I guess that doesn’t suffice breaking your lease.Review fromSharon B

They went up on my rent 200+ dollars (**** yearly) and has not went up on my *********** rent at all for the last 2 years. The Manager (*****) told me that he would have it lower but when it came to doing it; he acted like he had no knowledge of telling me that. When I saw the Rent increase, I became sick to the stomach. Thinking how could this be! Who in the **** can afford a **** a year Increase. Big crack on my Patio that he said he would have fixed, NEVER HAPPENED.Been there for 20 years! My apartment is very old with very old appliances. They want updated pricing but don't want to update the apartment. .Independence Realty Trust, Inc

1 starUnacceptable. Multiple charges on my file that are not correct or waht was agreed upon. *** lived here over a year. Have NEVER had my cable outage taken care of. Have sent multiple spectrum people to my apartment complex. Even though ***** is completely aware that I have no cable and it's a big job due to the wiring of the complex, I was told I would have to continue to pay anyway for the service that I DO NOT HAVE AND THEY ARE AWARE. I was told to PROVE that I had spectrum come out and I would still get no credit towards my account. I have multiple charges on my account that they refuse to fix. I highly recommend not moving here and if you're a current resident to check all your paperwork. I was being charged for renter's insurance on top of the renter's insurance they have on file!!! ****** is one of the best things to happen to this morally corrupt business. I'd move out immediately if I wouldn't have to pay two months rent before I move out. Ive been told to pay the extra $500 over on my account. Again DO NOT MOVE HEREReview fromRashawn T

Im not one to leave negative reviews but this Absolute worst community I have ever lived in. Constantly attacked by drain flies, ******* sealing for almost two months and a giant hole the only bathroom in my one bedroom for over a month, management refuses to fix it corporate refuses to return phone calls. Worker orders in for two months that they keep completing without ever actually working on it. Roaches coming in from only god knows where and managements first question was did I bring them in when I moved in. Holds in the screens on my windows and patio screen and patio door and screen put on backwards. Dont believe their generic we care about you response.Independence Realty Trust, Inc

I was a resident at the reflections on sweet water in ************* ** I spoke with the leasing mgr and notified her that I will be turning my keys in on Monday on Friday they we t into my unit and threw away all of my items ALL of my kids toys and clothes all of my paperwork they had no right to throw away all of my things after I had clear communication with the leasing office but if I was Hispanic would this have happened NO!! seeing that I was in the process off clearly moving the rest of my items the property manager lied about walking my unit the previous Monday to see if I was still living there because the Monday she talking about my unit was completely furnished. They said they took pictures of my items thrown all over the apartment this is not acceptable at all and they had no right to throw all of my items away I went to court and after numerous times trying to contact them about payment I never get a response I just decided to move its been numerous situations that have happened that show the apartment complex has no concern for their residents. It wasnt no eviction or anything just the manger instructing them to throw all my things away.Independence Realty Trust, Inc

***************************** at Park Valley does not care about her tenants or property. Our water was shut off yesterday til after 5 I could not shower for work today our water is again shut off I cannot wash my uniform or take a shower once again they raise the rent but care so little about the living conditions here at this property. She is locked in her office right now refusing to come out and speak to the tenants while we are standing out side the leasing office seeking answers Rent is too high for this type of negligence. We need a new property manager and or management because this is unacceptable I would like to speak with ******************************* manager over at Park Valley in ****** ** as soon as possible this is unacceptableIndependence Realty Trust, Inc
